TCR | 2014.12.01 | "In 1977, when I was in 8th grade, I won two tickets from a local radio station to see this new movie Star Wars, two weeks before it came out nationally. I loved it. The 39 most important feminist moments in 2014

In 1998, TIME Magazine declared feminism dead. Nearly 15 years later, it wondered if instead, perhaps feminism should be banned. Constantly on attack from all sides, feminism has spent the past few decades proving its importance and relevance over and over and over again. If there’s one thing history has taught us, it’s that the backlash against feminism will always be a measure of our success. That’s the thing wit...

The Mom: Because Wonder Woman has amazing thighs and she could crush men with them if they insult her.

Little Boy: I wanna be Wonder Woman.

The Mom: Don't we all.

Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven’t been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Sometimes you open a box and really amazing things are inside. (Preorder your copy of This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner today!) (There’s also a really pretty poster!)

Yes, there’s still time! You can either request to get it by Christmas if it’s gift, or you can choose to wait until January and have us sign it in person (rather than receiving the signed bookplates).
