Beachwalk Press Blog Hop & Giveaway
One of my publisher's, Beachwalk Press, are doing a blog hop. Each author involved is letting our readers know our three favorite things about being an author.

My three favorite things are:
1: Having a valid excuse for talking to myself.
I do this often, and some people think it's a bit odd...until them that I was plotting my next book. Suddenly they find my rambles understandable.
2: The people I meet.
I love talking to new people about books. Being an author has let more like-minded people into my life. One of my best friends is someone I met through my writing. Without my books, I wouldn't have met her, and that's sad to imagine.
3: Surprising people.
This is an odd one, but you'll understand in a minute. For 16 hours a week I do another job, one that is quite the opposite to being an author. Over time people I work with have come to understand that I write, however, I'll never forget and always love, the shock on their faces when they find out what I write. No one expects it, and that's why it'll never get old.
