I Blame the Solar Eclipse!

2017 Solar Eclipse day had finally arrived and I was ready for it. I had my snazzy solar eclipse nasa approved glasses, which made me look super cute. It was 93 degrees hot, my hair was pulled back into a ponytail and I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I really should’ve floated in the pool to watch this amazing event.

The last one I saw was in 1979, when I lived in Illinois. I was in elementary school and we made cardboard boxes to use.

If the full moon affects people’s moods and creativity, then...

Man Posts Letters In Dog Poo Box For Two Years!

Well, if it looks like a mailbox, then why not? True story! Read about it HERE.

If I did something like that, I’d know within a month. Why? Because, I’d be on the phone yelling at the electric, water, phone and cable companies and asking why my utilities were turned off. In the end, one of the customer service representatives would simply say, “So, you put your check in the Dog Poo Box?” Then I’d feel like a total dumb-ass and blame the city for installing the poop box. People working in cust...

My husband is going to starve!

Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet will officially be released on 9/1/17. Yay!

Here is what I know: the ebook and hardback (case laminate) available for pre-order, with a release date of 9/1/17. However, the paperback may be released sooner. Still not sure about that, yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

The audiobook release will depend on me being able to record it. Allow me to explain. I had adult braces put on my teeth today and I’m talking with a lisp. Adult braces are clear brackets with...

My Son Wrote a Story

In other news, my son, Eric Stevens, wrote a short story and it’s now published and currently available through Kindle. Yay! It’ll be available in other outlets, soon. Uplifting, mysterious and inspirational. And check out that amazing cover by Robin Ludwig it’s simply beautiful.

A little background about my son. He’s a veteran, married and has three beautiful children. Reading books by authors such as George R. R. Martin, helped him temporarily escape the war zone, when he was abroad. Growin...

Beautiful Bookmarks

Look what arrived, today. Yay! I love these bookmarks and I can’t wait to start passing them out. Special thanks to Robin Ludwig Design / RLD at www.gobookcoverdesign.com. She designed the book cover and the bookmarks. My guess is, in about a month or so, blog blasts, book tours and giveaways will be in full force. Some of the giveaways will include Kindles, books and ebooks.

New Book and Cover Reveal

Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet … COMING SOON!

Formats: Paperback, ebook and audio book

This book is considered humorous women’s fiction, but could easily be categorized as chick lit, in my opinion. A veteran editor suggested that I have everything ready to go — to self-publish this book — and start advertising, just in case it doesn’t get picked up by an agent/publisher. So I’m chugging right along with excitement.

About the book

If you work in customer service and never had a bad da...

Decisions. Decisions.

Decisions are tough! I’m at a crossroads with the book I’ve been working on and have an opportunity to turn it into a work of fiction and make it a series. Which would be so awesome!

I’ve been working on the edits and suggestions from the editor, since I’ve gotten it back. And I’m nearly done with my end of things, before it goes through the final round with the new updates. I plan to start playing around with the book to see if I want to do a complete rewrite and turn it into a series.

I thi...

Editors are Awesome!

When I startedwriting my latest book, I hired ten different types of editors to read the first five chapters and give me feedback. I wanted to know if the book was good enough to continue writing it, because I didn’t want to waste my time if it wasn’t. I’m not sure if other writers do that sort of thing, but I do. To be honest, all but one loved the five chaptersand wanted to read more. Even the one who didn’t “love” it, wanted to read it when it was finished. I received valuable feedback and...

New Book! Audio teaser not taser. Big difference.

Let’s do this!

I seriously can’t believe it’s been six weekssince I’ve last posted anything. The days go by so fast! It probably just means I’m getting older and forgetting things more often. I blame the aging process.

You’ll be happyto know, that I’ve been working hard on a new book. Yay! I mentioned it in one of my previous posts. It’s hard to find time to write, while working a full-time job, but it can be done. Wo...
