Read A Romance Month!

I am so honored to be recommended by Cathy Maxwell for Read A Romance Month! How amazing it is to celebrate a genre and group of people I love so much. I’m writing this from San Antonio, Texas, where the Romance Writers of America’s National convention just wrapped up last night. So to speak about how incredible this group is truly is foremost in my mind.

Every person I meet here is excited and in love with love, and that in itself is what makes my ‘workplace’ and my ‘coworkers’ so incredible....

THE SAINT — Tiffany Reisz — a review

THE SAINTUM. This. So much this. This is the only book I brought home from #RT14. Now let me preempt this fangirlingfor a sec with the following caveat: Tiffany and I are friends, social media level of friendship? IRL+1 We hang at cons and do stuff away from the usual. But I was a fangirl first and foremost. I found Tiffany Reisz through a Harlequin freebie (at the time… I THINK) called SEVEN DAY LOAN (It’s now been retitled THE GIFT) and it’s the story of Daniel. I read it… then basically strong-arme...

#Twitchy is HEEERE!!!

Today I’mexcited to share mynewest illustrated romance, ABSOLUTE SURRENDER. This book, like THE RAKE AND THE RECLUSE: Redux, has gorgeous images to enhance the story.

Hey look it’s me:

Colorado. Canon. Curls. CJs. Chuck Norris.

Born and raised in this beautiful state —very nearly with a camera in hand— I never left. I started my own family, got used to the curls, went to college, built a CJ, started a business, and totally beat the daylights out of Chuck Norris, all with a camera in hand.

Spendin...

A special post

I have so many friends online, some I’m blessed to meet in real life, and some we just never quite get there. One of my friend’s, fellow author, Jackie Barbosa is always one I’ve never managed to meet up with. I get to her neck of the woods every once in awhile, but she’s always busy with stuff for her kids. This is something I always remember about her. There is ALWAYS something she’s getting to for her children.

Jackie’s son, Julian, was killed on the 20th of March in a head on collision.

Julian Fraire

I am Twitchy

Here she is, Amelia, the heroine formerly (and forever) known as #Twitchy

#Twitchy

Happiness was always too much for Lady Amelia to hope for.

Now all she expects is to secure her future and marry Charles, Duke of Castleberry, as arranged. But Amelia has a dangerous secret that could not only destroy her in Charles’s eyes and the eyes of society, but could also very well condemn her to Bedlam.

Baron Endsleigh, Amelia’s oldest friend, has other ideas. Ender has loved Amelia all his life. He knows her secre...

Codename: #Twitchy

Yes, yes, it has been quite some time that I’ve spoken of this elusive manuscript. But here she is, in her final glory and I find a bit of sadness at having to remove certain scenes that I loved so very much.

Including this one.

Oranges. I love the bright smell of oranges.

I can’t talk too much about the book, but I think this scene doesn’t need too much backstory to make it work. So I wanted to share it here, completely unedited, raw and a bit… sticky.

These words may not make the final cut to t...

Drugs and Victorian Society by Maire Claremont + Giveaway

maireclaremont-DarkLady

Who wants some opium? Well, today it’s highly regulated. . . People are still massively addicted and will do a lot of things to get things like Vicodin and Oxycotin. . . But in the Victorian period the original real deal was Laudanum and it was much easier to obtain.

Now, we think of people popping pills. Then it came in a brown bottle meant to be swigged. At first, laudanum was a god send. At the beginning of the nineteenth century there were NO pain killers. Nothing to alleviate the horrors...

Storm’s Heart – Thea Harrison

Storm's Heart by Thea Harrison

Storm’s Heart by Thea Harrison

OMGDuuuude.

Look I should have written this review awhile go. But I didn’t. Fail on my part because it’s been a couple weeks and of course the book begins to fade. Not due to anything lacking in the story, mind you, but because that’s how my brain works.

Look, I don’t remember parts of my own book and I wrote, and have read it… I don’t even know how many times.

THAT being said… OMG THEA. This book. The bar scene? I saw the feisty little fairy and the storm cloud bre...

Dragon Bound – Thea Harrison

Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison

Dragon Bound, a paranormal shifter romance by Thea Harrison

I don’t read PNR.

Except for sometimes.

I had surgery about four weeks ago and am unable to bear any weight for six total weeks. Which, isn’t over with yet. It’s driving me crazy and has turned me upside down. I haven’t been able to read. So I decided to read this. I had a signed copy from Miss Thea, and thought, hey why not. Nothing else is working.

OH MY GAWD. I loved this book. First of I’m an alpha junkie. And Dragos is like alpha to...
