The Twice Lost Blurb
Hey, I just updated my website! There are new reviews, the WAKING STORMS trailer--and, for the first time, the back cover copy for THE TWICE LOST. Check The Lost Voices Trilogy page. (It might be a little spoilery if you haven't read WAKING STORMS yet, though!) http://sarahporterbooks.com/

Upcoming Reading
On November 16th at 6 PM I'll be reading and signing books at the Tribeca Barnes & Noble at 97 Warren Street in Manhattan, and the charming Carolyn Turgeon and Tara Altebrando will be reading with me! I think I'll read a dream from Lost Voices and also a dream from the sequel, Waking Storms.

Mermaid-Naming Contest Starts Today!
That porpoise on the front page of my website, sarahporterbooks.com? The one who ought to carry you on his back to the Name-a-Mermaid Contest page, but who has seemed strangely reluctant to swim anywhere?
He’s working now. Click him and he’ll take you to the page Harcourt has thoughtfully provided, where you can fill out an entry form to, perhaps, have your very own mermaid named after you in the third volume of the trilogy. It doesn’t say so in the official rules, but I might even let the winner choose their own tail color as long as it’s not too crazy (like, no rainbow, no stripes…)
You might have to refresh your browser to make the porpoise swim. I did.

Beautiful book trailer just released!
I'm sorry to say that the Name a Mermaid Contest won't actually be ready to accept entries for another week or two.
But in the meantime, Harcourt just released this beautiful book trailer!

Brand new website!
I have a new website up and running today: http://sarahporterbooks.com/index.html
It features my mermaid-based video mixing with a very spooky soundtrack by my husband Todd, drawings I did of Luce, Nausicaa (from volume 2 of the trilogy), and a porpoise, and the just-released blurb for the second volume in the trilogy, WAKING STORMS. Stop by!
(Oh, the Name a Mermaid Contest link isn't working yet. But it will be very soon, and then you can enter a drawing to have a mermaid in volume 3 named after you...)
