So yesterday MacmillanTeen released a Shadow and Bone-inspired song, written and performed by S&B author Leigh Bardugo (you can find the song here).
The song. Is. AWESOME. Like, I’ve had it on repeat since I first heard yesterday afternoon AWESOME. Because I liked it so much I had to make a cover for it, so it would look all nice in iTunes/on my iPod.
I may tweak it a bit still (like change the “Siege and Storm” in the corner to say “Shadow and Bone”), but otherwise I think it’s mostly good.
So cool that you did this! I feel so legit :D
(and so glad you liked the song!)

On twitter? Let DREAMWORKS know your favorite Shadow and Bone character
This is your last day to tell DreamWorks studios who you love from the Grisha Trilogy and why!
(Plus, you can win a signed paperback and one of the last remaining bottles of Shadow and Bone nail polish before it’s ALLSIEGEALLTHETIME.)
Just tweet using the #ShadowandBoneContest hashtag or go let ‘em know you’re excited on the Dreamworks Studios FB page :)
(or, y’know, take a pic of yourself doing this:
If you do it, I’ll do it.)
Hi Leigh! Could you share the lyrics of Winter Prayer? Thank you
Snow come, cover ground
Hide our tracks and smother sound
Winter comes and we’ll be found
On our heels a shadow hound
Wind come, blow free
Shake the branches of the trees
Carry us my love and me
Over the waves of a shadow sea
Stars come, shine bright
Guide us through this endless night
You’re weary now, but you must fight
You’re drowning now but there’s still light
Wind come, blow free
Shake the branches of the trees
Carry us my love and me
Over the waves of a shadow sea
Snow come, fall down
Hide our tracks and smother sound
Winter comes and we’ll be found
On our heels a shadow hound

Genya!
I’ve been playing with my tablet and drawing and I got kind of tired of drawing my own characters (since I don’t really want to share them yet) so instead I drew Leigh’s haha. I colored this at school and I couldn’t remember her eye color so I guessed. Sorry if I’m wrong.
This is gorgeous! She looks like a Saint. And giving me Sansa feels too?

Hey guys, here it is! This song was a labor of love for me and some of my former bandmates. It was written on my phone and most of it was recorded in Aaron’s apartment. (That choir you hear? That’s just Aaron’s wife and one of her friends. Technology!) I’ll be writing a bit more about how we did it for the Siege and Storm blog tour.
For now, I just want to thank you again for making the first phase of the pre-order campaign such a success. So much

Reblogging for the late night crowd. Is that tacky? *shrug*

Woot, woot! Check out what THE John Green is saying about T. Michael Martin’s THE END GAMES:
“This guy, T. Michael Martin, is a nerdfighter and YouTuber who also happens to be an incredibly good novelist. I’ve just read his book THE END GAMES, and it’s the zombie book I wish I could’ve written. It’s smart and funny and terrifying and really lovely.
Get the book. It’s freaky good, I’m telling you.”
