So today I met my half-brother for the first time. And it was awkward, but fun. Then we (sort of) argued about our biodad and went to a toy store and discussed his love of Taco Bell. In other words, today, my life became a YA novel. Despite the fact that I’m in my thirties.

I love love love the version of Morozova’s Collar that HebelDesign sells, but for my Alina costume I wanted something a little more unwieldy. I made these deer antlers out of air-dry clay and I’m pretty happy with the results. They sit around my neck in a cool three-dimensional kind of way. Now I just have to paint them and figure out a way to keep it on my neck outside of holding the pieces in place.
