I think this is, objectively, one of the greatest things I’ve ever done.
And really, who DOESN’T want to see Katara and Sokka kick Joffrey’s ass?
the Yuyan archers shooting Robb and killing Ygritte though…
(That feel when GOT accidentally makes a better Fire Nation blockade than the movie that shall not be named)
Game of Thrones x Avatar: The Last Airbender MASHUP!
This did weird things to my brain.

some of my friends started watching GoT recently and it reminded me that I… love the Stark sisters…
Tamora Pierce
Tamora Pierce goes up to the counter and orders a series of drinks that are reminiscent of previous Starbucks drinks, but expand upon them in ways that are both familiar and innovative, filling a gap in the menu. Budding heroines everywhere adopt them as their unofficial signature drinks.
Oh. Oh, I like this. This is cool. Thank you.

Recently @chechula worked on a series of lovely sketches to promote our webcomic The Author’s Apprentice that I will be sharing intermittently!
First up is our young protagonist, Jo Petit! She’s definitely a bit of a bookworm having grown up with her dad who’s a used book dealer. She has no idea what sort of adventure is in store for her! (Or how dangerous some books can be…)

My Klimt is showing!
Broke out the watercolors and metallic paint and had a bit of fun. If you’re feeling stiff, digital artist friends, try working traditionally! I felt like I loosened up quite a bit. The lettering just happened first try, too, which never happens! You and me, Wiener Werkstätte, we were meant to be…! (I’m sorry the scan is so dreadful!)
Alina and the Darkling of the Grisha trilogy belong to the very charming Leigh Bardugo.
One of the first pieces of Grisha fanart.

Valar dohaeris
Love this.
Got me thinking about this arc on GoT the last two seasons though… I felt like we were really treading water. We saw Alia sparring and having her ass kicked, but did we actually see her learning the secrets of the House of Black and White? I think you could overlay her beats from last season with her beats from this season and they’d be almost exactly the same. Other than her awesome if still mysterious face transplant skills, has she changed much? What did she learn over her Braavos vacation? Don’t get me wrong, I loved watching Arya go all murderpie on the Freys, but I feel a little like the writers were like, “Keep turning circles in Braavos until we’re ready for endgame.”
