I’m a Montlake Girl
Hi, Friends,
I’ve got exciting news. I just signed a 4-book deal with Amazon Publishing – Montlake Romance line for my Adams Grove series. I’m so excited to have the dream team led by Kelli Martin (editor) in my corner.
I was running around singing, “I’m an Amazon Girl.” But my momma, being the southern lady that she is, quickly educated me that “Amazon Girl” may not be the most flattering image. With her help, Mom’s a songwriter you know, we revised the words to my new celebration song to “I’m a Montlake Girl.” Yippeee.
Both Sweet Tea and Secrets and Out of Focus will be re-released with some fabulous revisions and new covers soon. Then in 2013, Wedding Cake and Big Mistakes will take you back to join in the festivities at Jill and Garrett’s wedding and so much more. Followed by Cody Tuggle’s story in Out of Frame in the second half of the year(which is going to be here before we know it if the months keep flying by like they have!! Can you believe it’s almost April!)
Of course, the titles could change and I’m sure there’ll be lots of fun along the way, so I’ll keep you posted. I can’t wait to get a sneak peek of the new covers and if you want to be the first to see them…be sure to sign up for my free newsletter on my website www.nancynaigle.com/ncont.htm
Hugs and high 5~

Celebrate International Women’s Day
It’s almost always that women have the strongest yet quietest influence on us. Through different roles they so ably perform, as mom, teacher, wife, grandma, friend or sister, they are always there with a smile, support or strength. Reach out to all the special women that you know with our warm ecards on International Women’s Day.
In honor of International Women’s Day my first Adams Grove Novel – Sweet Tea and Secrets - is FREE through Amazon for your Kindle (or the kindle app on your computer!!). http://www.amazon.com/Sweet-Secrets-Adams-Grove-ebook/dp/B005C14XD2/ref=sr_1_1_title_1_kin?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1330868647&sr=1-1 If you’ve already enjoyed the book, leave a review on Amazon today and tell one of your favorite gals about the opportunity - if you haven’t read it, I hope you’ll take advantage of the FREE offer and celebrate women with wonderful examples in this story like:
Pearl Clemmons – best known for her award winning chocolate pecan pie and the best darned unsolicited advice in Adams Grove. The unspoken matriarch of the small town.
Millie – Pearl’s very best friend and just as fiesty as Pearl.
Jill Clemmons – Pearl’s granddaughter who has come back to Adams Grove. Kind-hearted and capable of anything.
Carolanne – Carolanne is a lawyer now working in the big apple. Carolanne and Jill have been best friends since grade school. Distance or time – neither one can break their bond.
Macy - The gal who was “all that” in high school is back in Adams Grove after her marriage went kapoot. She’s still fearless and making lemonade out of any pile of lemons set in her path.
You might find another favorite woman among the dynamic gals of Adams Grove.
You can meet even more of them in my novel OUT OF FOCUS (also available in print and digital).
Tell me about the wonderful women you celebrate today.
Hugs and happy reading — and a high 5 wonderful woman!
Nancy

Make New Friends…
All Girl Scout and Brownie troopers can begin humming or singing along…
Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other's gold!
I do believe friends are one of our biggest treasures, and I love-love-love making new friends – both in person and online.
I'm attending several conferences this year, and although it's great fun to have someone stop by to purchase a signed copy of my book, I always hope to create an environment for anyone to come and just say hello. No purchase required.
What suggestions do you have to help create an approachable atmosphere?
I'll share my plans later this week.
Thanks in advance for the help! Hugs and happy reading~

Timing is everything
Just another instance of perfect timing. My husband went out to check his goats Friday evening and found a newborn kid in the field. She'd been cleaned up but none of the momma goats were claiming her. If Mike hadn't found her when he did, she'd have surely ended up bait to a predator or frozen to death in the cold, drizzly weather. Nearly lifeless, Mike brought the young doe inside and put her on a heating pad and since she was too weak to even eat he tube-fed her. She slept through the night and was doing a little better yesterday. At least she was taking the bottle.
Well, lookee here. What a difference a day makes. After a day of bottles and a little cuddling (not to mention many kisses from the dogs!) this little gal is up and ready to go. We had her in a box, but this morning when I woke up she was cruising around the kitchen. She seemed to particularly enjoy stepping up on the brick hearth and leaping into the air for a snazzy dismount!
I couldn't resist giving her a chance to explore before putting her in a kennel. She's definitely curious. Dakota, our 5 month old Chocolate lab (47 lbs), was pretty delighted to have a new buddy to visit with, until that kid started trying to nurse on him!
Guess we'll have to name her now. Any suggestions?

Thank goodness for good shepherds like my husband – timing really is everything.
Hugs and happy Sunday~

Autographs ~ 2012 Style
With the growth in popularity of e-books we're seeing lots of new e-Readers and tools make their way for our use. Not all of them are applicable only to e-books either.
(ENTER stage-left) KINDLEGraph.com (Horns blaring: toot-do-do-dooooo!)
www.KindleGraph.com is free. It's original purpose was to enable Kindle users to request and store autographs on their kindle. BUT, did you know that you can set up your KindleGraph.com account to send those autographs to any email address? It's true. So, it turns out that it's also a pretty cool way to get autographs for your favorite books from authors you might not get the chance to meet and get an autograph from in person.
Today KindleGraph boasts personalized digital inscriptions for over twelve thousand books from 2800 authors. Now, I'll admit as I perused the listing of authors I quickly noticed that many of my old favs are not yet using the tool, but it seems to be very popular with the 2010-forward Debut Authors.
Here's what you get…
a pdf that includes the book cover image ~ the personalized inscription ~ signature.
A sample of one of mine (LOVED this book and the other two in the series!)
Isn't it cool!
I've got mine on my kindle via my kindle email address, but I have friends that have started a collection of autographs to their regular email addresses. They've started a scrapbook type page on their computer…then printed the autographs and tucked them in the front of the books. I love it!
Here's a short list (including me!) of some of the other authors also on KindleGraph – if you haven't read them…you should!
Nancy Cohen
Marie Force
Melissa Foster
MJ Fredrick
Adrienne Giordano
Grace Greene
Shanon Grey
CJ Lyons
Nancy Naigle
Kristen Painter
Leah St. James
Leslie Tentler
Kari Lee Townsend
If you have a fav KindleGraph author … leave them here in the comments so that we can enjoy them, too!
Hugs and happy reading~
Nancy

Goodreads.com Giveaway
Happy February~
The month sure is starting out mild here in Virginia and it's been a blessing. I've tried to embrace the sunshine by getting outside for a little while each day and it was pretty exciting when on February 1st we had a set of triplets here on Holland Farm. I posted pictures of the momma goat with her three little girls on my facebook page in the "Kidding Around on Holland Farm" photo album.
So, I'm feeling especially happy and to celebrate that I'm doing a giveaway on GOODREADS of a copy of Sweet Tea and Secrets. The contest will be open on February 4th through the 8th.
If you don't have my debut novel in paperback ~ this is your chance to enter and win. If you've read it and loved it ~ tell your friends so they can enter for a chance to win! It's free to join Goodreads.com and so much fun to meet other booklovers who enjoy the same kinds of books as you.
See you there!
