I spent the afternoon at Penguin Random House UK meeting the amazingly lovely staff (who helped bring All the Bright Places into the world) and signing books, and then filming interviews along the Thames. It was the brightest day. ☀️

I want to write a thousand stories about every spookily lovely old building in London, including this one (spotted on tonight’s Jack the Ripper tour).

the-broken-are-the-wisest:

Ok, so it’s not exactly like I need my heart. You know, Jennifer Niven can just rip it out with this novel. Honestly this was an emotional roller coaster, hope, despair, and moments when Finch and Violets world comes crashing down. I loved every second of it, the characters are a beautiful mess.

Nivens style of writing is heart warming, she easily makes the characters, crazy and broken but in a way that makes you only love them more. Finch and Violet seem so perfect together to, their tragedy making the rest if life seem like a daydream. I loved the way depression, and suicide are handled in this book, being the main features apart from romance. Both topics are not overbearing but softly compliment the characters personality.

I loved Finches view on the world, it seem so realistic and relatable in many ways. I also agreed with Violet. I there was no way to have a favourite character and anyway, Jennifer Niven rocks your earth either way, the story line was beautiful and tragic, there are scares along the way and you can’t put this book down, it’s impossible.

Thank you so much! I’m so happy you liked it!!!!
