Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mothers in this world, past and present.  This includes mothers of babies and grown children, mothers of cats, dogs, and other four-legged creatures, stepmothers, surrogate moms, grandmothers, aunts, mentors, and all the women who make a difference. Thank you for being the brightest places.

And thank you to my own extraordinary mom and my two wonderful grandmothers for all the love you gave to me and all the love you’ve left behind.
