On #TBT I’m reading my parents’ love letters, written while my dad was in Okinawa for six months before we joined him for two years, and then after we returned to the States and he was sent to Vietnam for a year. Even across all those miles and all those months, the love there was so beautiful and strong, and even though both my parents are gone now, that love still surrounds me.
