KP running out of time
It hasn't been a happy homecoming to Durbs and Maritzburg for Kevin Pietersen but give the man credit, he has made the most of it, even if that doesn't apply to his batting.
He showed the parents the KP first born, he got a few runs in the first game against the Warriors on a tricky [...]

Rusty running smoothly… like a young Pollock
The cricket season is not only looking up for Imran Tahir, whose 12 wickets for the Dolphins at the weekend against the Titans, but for a few other South African bowlers too.
Mostly for Rusty Theron, who looks to be in the South African team for a long stay after his bowling at the weekend against [...]

Looking forward to Sachin
Graeme Smith got the cricket season off to a great start with a double century that almosts turned a losing situation for the Cape Cobras into a winning one. Perhaps his big one at Randjesfontein will be a portent for the rest of the summer. We hope so, because the visitors this season are India, [...]

ICC still wimps
The ICC is scrambling desperately to save itself in the wake of the latest scandal.
It will consider a "wide-ranging and, if necessary, independent review" of anti-corruption measures following the fixing allegations against Pakistan players. Wow! That should put the wind up any cricket crooks.
The ICC, a spineless body if ever there was one, met in [...]

Give KP a hand
NOW that we know KP is coming home, it's just a matter of sorting on who he will be playing against.
In the excitement that the prodigal son of PMB was going to play for the Dolphins, the various sources gave us his opponents as North West, Eastern Province and the Titans.
Actually none of them will [...]

Cricket bans vuvuzelas
Vuvuzelas have been banned from the Champions League, set to begin in Johannesburg on Friday.
"We have had various discussions with key stakeholders and we feel the vuvuzela is not appropriate for cricket," said SA cricket boss Gerald Majola.
But now the fans will have to put up with the non-stop music, dancers and cheerleaders. Give me [...]
