Here's the new cover for THE WAKING: DREAMS OF THE DEAD. ...

Here's the new cover for THE WAKING: DREAMS OF THE DEAD. Bloomsbury has decided to go for a different cover treatment on the trilogy and wanted to re-release the first book with the new treatment so that the subsequent books will be uniform. This comes out in September, with the 2nd and 3rd to come quickly thereafter. Thoughts?

Of Saints and Shadows

Sixteen years after its initial publication, my very first novel, OF SAINTS AND SHADOWS, returns with a brand new cover and a new introduction by Charlaine Harris. Ace books are rolling out the entire Peter Octavian series with new covers, all leading up to the release of a new Octavian novel in 2011.

Let me know what you think!

The Chamber of Ten

Well, they've posted it at Amazon, so I can finally post it here. VERY pleased to share the cover to THE CHAMBER OF TEN, the new novel of the Hidden Cities, by the talented Mr. Tim Lebbon and yours truly.

Looking Ahead!

2010 is going to be an interesting year. The start of a new decade. I'm very curious to discover what it has in store, but for the moment, here's what's going on in my world for 2010.

The Oak King

I'm truly honored to have been chosen as the Green Man Review's Oak King for 2009. There are tons of reviews, a short story, and a lengthy interview I enjoyed very much (thanks Rich!). I hope you'll all go check it out. www.greenmanreview.com/oneoffs/christophergolden.html

And a belated Happy Halloween to you all. No one in my house likes horror movies much, but I managed to watch quite a few in the past week or so, and mostly good ones. Apparently I saw BURNT OFFERINGS when I was nine or...

Boston Comic Con and more...

Just a quick post to say that I'll be a guest at next April's Boston Comic Con. The rest of the guest list is being put together now, but I can confirm that Mike Mignola will be there, and rumor has it Eric Powell will be in attendance as well.

Also, Jonathan Maberry has a very cool horror writers' roundtable discussion up on his blog featuring Ellen Datlow, Ramsey Campbell, and myself, among many other cool folks. Check it out at: www.jonathanmaberry.com/still-scary-after-all-these-years
