Hi Gail, random question. There have been many MANY bizarre comicbook crossovers over the years like Spider-Man and SNL, He-Man and the DCU and even Jimmy Olsen and Don Rickles (Kirby was a genius, but holy crap was he weird, in an awesome way) but I was w

I actually think it’d be huge fun to have Barbara Gordon show up in Riverdale. Seriously.

Over at Marvel, hmmm. I love the Black Widow now, I would think she would be up there.  Batgirl and Spider-man, especially Miles, would be a blast.

This is fun.

Okay, another question to remedy my horribly formulated thoughts (as a result from a late night and bad impulse-control). What do you look for in a fictional character as a whole, something that you'd get irritated if it was missing?

Originality.  Seriously, if you can’t show me something new, I’d rather you not show me anything at all.

When I create characters, I tend to focus on things I am not yet seeing elsewhere in comics. If I create, say, a Queen of Fables or a Black Alice, it’s because I don’t see a character like that when I look around.

A hundred otherwise-talented creators went out of their way to create Wolverine-rip-offs at one point. I feel that’s a disservice to your art and to the reader.

WoCC says: You have to suffer for your epicness. Love this photo!

How cute is that?

I was thinking about the thing with criticism of the mainstream books and how it's often not reflective of the big audience buying the books in a previous question and wondered if it isn't more likely that the comics market is already a niche source of ent

I am not sure I understand…you think people in other countries are not quite as current? I’m not sure that’s correct, but I wouldn’t say authoritatively.

I do think it’s more simple than that…a lot of people buy comics who don’t post about them, that’s all. Everyone gets to choose their own level of participation.

I haven't been buying Batgirl at all, but I decided to pick up #0 on Wednesday and just got round to reading it today. I seriously enjoyed it. Providing I can actually afford it on top of the rest of the comics I buy, you've probably got yourself another r

Aw, that means a lot! Thank you!

Seriously, I try not to be too hype-y hear. But I am proud of the end of the KNIGHTFALL story, and then we have DEATH OF THE FAMILY which is HUGE, and then we finally answer some questions people have been asking since issue one.

I am really proud of the direction of this book!

Gail! You said Storm was your favorite Marvel character. Sadly, most of my knowledge of the character comes from vague impressions left upon me by the 90s animated x-men series I grew up watching. Any recommendations for particular books or arcs that kinda

Aw! Thanks!  Hmmm. My love of Storm came directly from the X-men issues before they had a billion spin-offs. Can anyone recommend some great Storm stories?

I made a bunch of comic book headbands yesterday. Learned things (like need to leave more at the edge to leave a proper amount to wrap) but for prototypes/first attempts I’m really happy!

I covet the Batgirl one. As you knew I would.

Of course you do. I have made allowances for this fact >.>

Love these!
