Disneyland and Walt Disney World now have guidebooks for guests with cognitive disabilities (such as autism). They include the above charts of what to expect at each attraction (strong smells, loud noises, restraint types used, duration, and more), lists of quiet areas for when you need down time, and answers to frequently asked questions, among other tips.
They are available to download in PDF format: Disneyland | Walt Disney World
If you don’t want to download a PDF (or prefer to click the download link on Disney’s site directly), here are their pages for Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities: Disneyland | Walt Disney World
This is awesome.
Lovely idea!

I will be eternally angry that The Movement didn’t get the recognition that it deserved in the comic book world.
It WAS a little weird how little press support we got.
I think it was pitched as political and that gave a lot of people an excuse not to pick it up. But who knows, it’s hard to say what makes a book pop. It’s weird to see books doing stuff we had already done and the press acting as if it’s brand new, though. :)

FREE SHAFT!
Wow, does THAT sound weird!
Okay, I’ve been saying a lot that one of the best new comics I’ve read in ages is SHAFT, published by Dynamite. The true story of how this comic came to be is amazing, I highly recommend finding out about it. It’s an extraordinary book.
Many of you may not be aware, but February is not just Black History Month, it’s also Black Comics Month, or @BlackComicsMonth on Twitter, a concept started by the great Vixen Varsity, or mizcaramelvixen.
She has been spending the entire month spotlighting black characters, artists, and writers, and just being amazing in general.
One of the things she got to happen is, she got Dynamite to donate a comixology.com digital version of SHAFT #1 for the rest of February, FREE, to any reader. All you do is go to Comixology.com, select the book, and use the code CANYOUDIGIT. Then you get the book for free, and it’s really worth it!
I’m trying to get some other publishers involved. I think this is a wonderful idea and want to give it my full support. Comics is full of great black creators and characters and they don’t always get the media support their work deserves. So please spread the word, and investigate, please follow @mizcarmelvixen on Twitter, and perhaps check out @blackcomicsmonth!
You’ll be glad you did, she spotlights a lot of stuff that I hadn’t seen before and I can’t wait to dig into. THANK YOU FOR HELPING MAKE COMICS BETTER!
I Am Way Behind
On everything, pretty much, after the DC summit and the sneaking away for a few days at Disneyland.
I am behind even on answering the small amount of DM’s and asks that I can usually do. I apologize…I will never be able to answer each one, but I will hopefully be a little more caught up next week.
Thanks for being patient. :)

I was going to write a post about how awesome this month’s pull list was for me, but I think I’ll just leave this to stand for itself as to how quickly comic books are getting it (while video games still feel stuck in the dark ages.)
”Fridged off a bridge."
Gail Simone should be proud! :)
I already subscribed to Spider-Gwen on Comixology.
I am proud! I thought this was neat as hell.
