Use thick paper or light cardboard. Set your printer to print A4 portrait size.
This will print both sides of the paper. Print the first page. Then set it to print the reverse side.
It is important to set the paper correctly before printing its other side. Turn the paper over so that
the edge AB will coincide with the edge AB on the other side, and the edge CD on the edge CD on the

O’Coffee Club celebrates Singapore’s 51st Birthday!
National Day is coming! August is definitely one of my favourite months… in fact, I rushed back from my recent back-to-back trips to catch the recent NDP full-dress rehearsals! It was a blast and I really thought this year’s team did an AWESOME job. I’m so very proud of how far we have come!
Another reason why the month of August rocks is also because of the F&B deals across the country as restaurants celebrate National Day. Here’s something I’d like to share to all you fellow foodies out there… Get $5.10 off your bill with every 2 sets of National Day items ordered this month from O’Coffee Club! One set consists of one main and one beverage listed below. They have 10 outlets islandwide, so you can easily pop into any one of them to enjoy this sweet deal!
Customers can tuck into special National Day items like:
Curry Chicken ($7.90) using O’Coffee Club’s special house-made curry paste, served with 5 toasted slices of French baguettes… The chicken, I must say, came in generous portions and were tasty since they were marinated overnight before being slow cooked with potatoes in their secret coconut curry paste. In fact, I could taste the aromatic toasted coconut in there… which made it a bit different from the standard spicy curry we Singaporeans love. Well played, O’Coffee Club, well played.
Their new and improved Chilli Crab Linguine ($19.90) tossed with chunky pieces of crab meat in a tantalising chilli and tomato homemade sauce was also super yums! I’m a spice queen who likes it hot so I was in total agreement when the spouse gave an endearing “Wah! This one got kick ah!” which means, this well-loved local dish passes with bright, flying colours! This is not for your angmoh buddy who likes their linguine wussy with the boring typical tomato sauce. This my dear friends, is specially made extra spicy for us local who enjoy the good stuff. The chilli/ tomato sauce is sweet and the rations of crab is again generous. Excellent dish really, we both enjoyed it …maybe a bit more than the curry chicken!
I didn’t think anything else could up the ante, but their hearty Prawn Laksa ($15.90) with a poached egg did! First off, I must warn you… this all-time favourite local spicy delight will make your nose run BUT IT IS DAMN SHIOK! And OMG whoever thought of adding a poached egg in there should be given a medal. This was definitely my favourite for the 3 special National Day dishes. There’s much pride in there (as the other half declared in Singlish, “Got standard!”) and I reckon if you live far away from Katong and want some authentic laksa, you can easily satisfy your cravings with this fix!
For those of you with an unapologetic sweet tooth, you’d be happy to know that O’Coffee Club also has these new drinks specially available for the month of National Day
WIN a free meal for you and your date at O’Coffee Club this National Day!
You probably already read my O’Coffee Club food review about their super scrumptious National Day offerings this August

SG Book Deals Books Warehouse Sale is back!
Good news fellow book junkies! Our favourite warehouse sale is back, where you can grab brand new reads at ridiculous prices. From the very same folks who brought us the super amazing SG50 Box Sale, the SG Book Deals Books Warehouse Sale is back… including the all-you-can-fill Box Sale!
Yes, like OMG. Remember last year’s crazy sale event over the Jubilee weekend? Everything was cleared 2 days before the slated end of the event! People queued from the first floor all the way up to the entrance and the clever ones brought trolleys (you know how heavy books can get)! So this time around, come early to avoid disappointment – but don’t be so kiasu that you plan to camp overnight!
Refer to the above poster for the warehouse address (yes it is the same venue as last year), date (mark your calendars… it’s happening real soon!) and operation hours (please respect their time too). More updates about the event will be shared via www.facebook.com/sgbookdeals so check it out

Ninja Bowl: Where you leave feeling like a Superhero
You may have seen It’s always nice to be able to enjoy a good meal with good company, especially since food is a big part of our Singaporean culture! Last week, we enjoyed a hearty lunch in town after my work meeting in the CBD area. Fairly new, having just opened this April, Ninja Bowl serves up scrumptious all-day brunch, sandwiches and other value-for-money makan options! Although they may seem like the new kid on the block, their parent company The Astronauts Group already owns 2 other successful F&B establishments – Chillax Cafe and Babette Restaurant & Bar. So this is really their third baby!
Stepping through their front door, it already looked very promising to us; we were greeted by a full crowd of happy customers nom-ing at the atmospheric restaurant, located in the hip dining enclave of Duxton Road. Going through the menu as we waited for our table, the two of us quickly realized that yummy food aside, the management decided not to have service charge so all prices are at nett cost! Well played, Ninja Bowl, well played.
Kamil is a big guy, so naturally, the man is also a big eater. I was wondering if the serving portions would be sufficient for him because there’s no way I’m sharing mine! LOL! Business was bustling but the serving staff were first class. Having worked in the F&B industry as a teen while saving up to pay school fees, I totally understand how crazy it can be working at a restaurant during peak hours. Despite it being full house (it seats about 50 people), the folks at Ninja Bowl were cool cats, never forgetting to crack a smile and patiently answer any questions we had.
We were quite hungry (our fault really, because as artists who aren’t exactly morning people, this was our first meal of the day at 1.30pm) so Kamil and I were thrilled that it didn’t take too long for our orders to arrive

Bistro Kai: Singapore’s hidden find!
Just the other night, I had a most delightful dinner with my buddies Adeline and Bernard at the cozy little restaurant located at Hotel Kai on Purvis Street. If you are searching for a special venue for an eventful after-work catch up or plan to celebrate a birthday/ casual social gathering in town, Bistro Kai would be it!
Fresh succulent oysters that were already sliced at the bottom for easy slurping greeted us on a dish of ice and lemon wedges; it’s no wonder that some people just come early for the oysters! They were really good and just having two each just didn’t seem enough
ReFa for BODY: Get $100 off this award-winning massager from Japan right now!
Every now and then, I get people asking how I manage to maintain a healthy lifestyle with all the constant traveling I do for work. The answer is always the same: a simple three prong approach where you are constantly mindful of what you eat, coupled by regular exercise and a lot of self-love! Because my schedule is “flexible” (when it gets busy, it’s basically madness) I rest when I can, whenever I can …and one “secret weapon” from MTG that I personally have in my travel carry-on is this…

Those of you who follow me on Instagram, would have seen this picture of the ReFa BODY in my travel luggage :)
ReFa for Body is essentially a non-electric personal massager, handy enough that you can easily take with you anywhere… even on the plane! On long haul flights (like the one I’m taking in a few weeks for a project in Paris), you’d appreciate how its four roller balls really get in there; kneading away all that tension from your weary muscle, while its gentle squeezing action promotes circulation throughout. While it is known to help shape and tone, more importantly to me anyway, it also helps with lymphatic drainage. The handle is designed brilliantly, where you can easily rotate it to whatever provides the best grip, making it so comfortable for you to hold during use!
As you can see in the video, the ReFa for Body works efficiently everywhere – your shoulders, back, waist, arms, legs, thighs, butt… And! Because the Japanese have such amazing technology, the two solar panels on the handle actually takes in light, generating sunlight into fine micro-current which is similar to what they use at professional spas. An easy test I did was to use one of the roller to unlock my mobile phone and it effortlessly glided across the screen, proving that there really was micro-current flowing through the massager, which basically emulates the human hand!
FYI the ReFa for Body can also be used in the bath tub. Trust me, you need to try this after a long flight where you check into your hotel room and run that hot bubble bath! Its water-proof specifications clears the Japanese Industrial Standards (IPX7 or equivalent), which means you don’t have to worry about your investment going kaput… so forget about buying knockoffs because while they may appear similar, they just don’t work the same!
Now, if you’ve been considering getting this award-winning massager, this is the PERFECT time! Just for now till the end of the month, get S$100.00 off when you use the promo code ReFa100NC when you shop online! Feel free to pass on the good news, and yes you’re very welcome

Getting cozy with Fan Bing Bing’s 白马王子
So I received an invitation in the mail the other day, promising that VIPs will be utterly pampered at their event and we’d also get to meet someone mysterious and very special. That sounded exciting to me!
Getting out of my ride on the starry evening of the event itself, I was greeted by a bevy of good looking men dressed smartly in black, who suavely opened the doors for me. A gold tag bracelet was wrapped around my wrist and a drink was slipped into my hand, before elegant canapés were served up. Rose petals were scattered on the carpet and luxurious scents filled the air, reminding me of my favourite spa. Not long after, we were ushered to sit in front of the stage, where lush red curtains cloaked the special VIP from our view.
Just who exactly, were we meeting tonight? The emcees dramatically pulled opened the velvet curtains and all was unveiled…
China’s top actress and Hollywood star, Fan Bing Bing, smiled back at us. On stage was OSIM’s latest massage chair, the OSIM uLove – also known as 白马王子! A stoic white, like a handsome knight in shining armour, it certainly was a fine specimen… making me realise that furniture can be sexy
