Thank You Queensland!
Thank you so much Glennie School in Toowoomba, Marymount Primary School on the Gold Coast, Pacific Lutheran College on the Sunshine Coast and Redlands City Council Library for hosting me this last week. I had fantastic time meeting so many wonderful kids, teachers and librarians. To all the people who were frustrated that they missed me – don’t worry I hope to be back soon.

How to Write a Story
I get asked for writing advice all the time. Usually I try to explain my total ignorance of how I manage to carry this off. But when my niece asked me I cracked and recorded this video. It’s all the wisdom I have. If it’s not helpful to you I do apologise. But it is seriously the structure I use myself.

It’s school visit season!
It’s August so that means school visits for all us children’s authors. Most of my talks are online this year. It’s been fun figuring out different things I can do, to make it special. For a start, kids can meet my dog and see just how messy my home office really is!

PESKI KIDS 5, THE FINAL MISSION on sale today!
I’m super proud of these books. It was great to plot a five book series with a full story arc. I got to write a portrait of my beloved home town. And I got the opportunity to explore so many ideas and issues close to my heart. Plus I got to write some crackingly good fun arguments! I’d say I’m going to miss the characters but I know they’ll be forever rattling around in my head. I hope you all enjoy these books as much as I enjoyed creating them because that was a lot.
