Oh Here Go Hell Come
I love anime the same way I love comics. Granted, I haven't seen any new series for a few years now, but I was the girl who'd rush home to watch Sailor Moon after school and couldn't wait for the weekend to come so I could watch Ronin Warriors as a kid. (I know, I'm totally dating myself here) I would stay up late to watch G-Force on Toonami (I won't get into the various versions of that show). When I hit college, I watched a ton of anime before I kind of got burned out on it and learned to m...

TERMINAL POINT - Copy edits
I have vanquished the evil foe known as the copy edit. I did it with my faithful blue colored pencil, a playlist full of theme songs, and copious amounts of coffee. Also, a cat, who would not leave the stack of paper alone. There are teeth marks. I am slightly appalled.
I am basking in the afterglow with alcohol. Since I don't smoke, this is my liquid version of damn, I need a cigarette moment.

Chicago
So I took a holiday to visit a good friend of mine in Chicago. It was 80 degrees the entire time I was there D: I about melted and died. Coming from 65 degrees, my body was like, the fuck is this?!. Had a fabulous time though. Stayed in her Addams family style, skinny Victorian house on the North Side. I love taking pictures of gorgeous buildings and I have to say, Chicago's residential areas are lovely. Their homes are so distinct. I mean, San Francisco has Victorian houses and such, but Chi...

News Article: Forests Dying Off
So yeah, it's a New York Times article over this way. Hopefully you guys can read it without needing to subscribe (I think there's a number of articles you get online for free in any given month? I don't know). Dying forests, super long droughts (you know the next major wars are going to be over water), and the high probability that countries in the more northern latitudes are going to turn into the world's bread basket if the wheat doesn't die off first in a super blight. I'd look up those a...

Seanen McGuire - Digital Divide
Author Seanen McGuire (also known as Mira Grant) has an excellent post up on her livejournal about ebook readers and poverty and the chasm of the digital divide. Very well written and I think it's an important subject. Please go check out her post on the matter.

Strykers Book Two: Officially Titled TERMINAL POINT
Guys, I have been sitting on this for so long because of a week-long roadtrip up north and then another one down south this past weekend. At this point, I have driven the entire west coast of America. Both trips have messed up my right shoulder to the point where I kind of want to chop off my arm to make it stop hurting. Reason number whatever why I will never own a car.
But anyway, making the pain bearable is the AWESOME cover for Strykers Book Two, officially called TERMINAL POINT. I am so i...

Road Tripping Up the West Coast
It's been forever since I took a holiday and this Friday my roommate and I are driving up the West Coast, hitting Portland and Seattle. We've got places in each city we want to go, but mostly we're looking forward to the drive and getting out of the city. We're going to spend a week on the road, taking pictures, and probably brainstorming story ideas because neither one of us is capable of going a week without thinking of writing or actually doing it.
I'm looking forward to the break, honestly...

Summer Days
I have been hitting up matinee movies for the past few weeks to get my summer blockbuster fix. Still have a few more I want to see. Although I did drag my roommate and a friend to see Attack the Block. Oh, man, I need to see that movie again and turn it into a drinking game. I don't think I would survive it though.
Anyway, turned in edits for Strykers Book 2. I didn't have to tear apart the book, which I was really glad to know. My editor loves it, so that made me super happy and took a load o...

Harry Potter
I'm seeing the last Harry Potter movie on Saturday with my roommate. She is seeing a double feature tonight, then the midnight showing of the last movie and basically forgoing sleep. Jealous.
So many people are going to be sobbing into their popcorn this weekend. I will dodge the emotional pit by not having popcorn!
But yeah, Harry Potter. Good show, sir. Good show.
