Excerpt His rumpled T-shirt lifted at his belly to reveal a happy trail and the fact that the top two buttons of his jeans had been left undone, as if he’d rolled out of bed, tugged them on, and headed off into the wilderness. Also leaving her with the pretty sound impression that he wore nothing underneath. When Callie had mentioned meeting Jake’s illusive reclusive ex-band-mate a few weeks before, Lori had briefly imagined an overweight, overly-tattooed guy who reeked of bourbon and past glory.Instead, she’d found Thor.

but both find themselves jockeying for position.Hm. On top? Bottom?Who’s topping whom? Who’s in control now?
And who really want to give it up, but can’t?
THE BLURB:
The Chief Financial Officer of the non-profit Cerise Thacker runs has been cooking her books. The DA fears the CFO’s deep family roots will come after her, particularly after the CFO states he will “fucking see to her death.” So she’s whisked away in a Yellow Cab into a short term police protection program to keep her safe.
The cabbie? Isaac Walker, undercover cop. For the duration, Isaac will be her protector, even though she doesn’t want protection.
But Cerise and Isaac are not strangers. They’d shared a role play Fem Domme/sub encounter a year earlier–neither of them revealing who they really were. Now they are thrust together in a situation of extreme danger, passion, and trust, where Isaac must remain in control of the situation at all costs, even though he so very much wants to give it up to Cerise. And Cerise must do everything that Isaac says to the letter, even if she doesn’t want to.
That is, if they want to get out of this thing alive.
FROM CHAPTER ONE:
“You want to die, Cerise? ‘Cause you must have a death wish. Be quiet and listen to me for once.”Something in his face made her realize she needed to listen. And obey.Dammit. Obey was generally not in her vernacular.“All right, Mike. But when this is finished...”He gasped her arm, and they moved forward. “When this is finished you will thank me,” he muttered. The DA followed them toward the door.“Mike?”“No talking until we get on the elevator.”Shit. Shit! What was going on? Was she in trouble? Were they lying to her? Was she going to jail, too? There was nothing she could do. She and Mike rushed through the outer office and toward the elevator, all eyes on them, while everything else spun in slow motion. Finally, the elevator door whooshed closed behind them, and she turned to him.“Talk to me.”“We need to protect you.”“What? Why?”“You heard Hankins. He said he would kill you. His roots run deep, Cerise.”Her throat closed up. Tom’s roots did run deep. She knew that. Knew too much about his family. They had, how do you say?—connections. Tom had alluded as much during the few weeks they were sleeping together. The elevator binged, and the doors swished open. Mike took her arm and led her toward the large glass doors of the office building.“There is a Yellow Cab parked straight ahead. Number 2223. Look. Do you see it?”She did.“Walk out these doors and straight toward the cab. I’m not going any further than the doors. You don’t need to be seen with me outside of here. Go directly to the cab, and get in the back. The driver knows where to take you.”“Mike. I have no money. I need my things.”“It’s taken care of. Now go.”Whether propelled by her own force or from Mike’s shove, she didn’t know, but within seconds she was through the door, her gaze hooked on the Yellow Cab at the curb like it was salvation. With each step, her heart pumped harder, her brain raced with questions. The door handle on the cab was cold as she grasped and lifted it, her hand shaking. As soon as she sat on the hard leather seat, and the door closed, the cab jerked into traffic.****“Holy shit.”The two words eased out of Isaac Walker’s mouth as he pulled his baseball cap lower over his bald head and straightened his dark sunglasses. Almost simultaneously, he flipped up his jacket collar and slunk down a little lower in the driver’s seat. The thing he didn’t do was alter his line of vision. He knew this woman was his subject, he knew she was heading his way, and there was no way he would take his eyes off her until she was safe inside the cab.No. No way would he peel his gaze away from….That pair of long, shapely, stocking-clad legs, topped off by a respectable above-the-knee length suit skirt, and anchored by a pair of three-inch, black, stiletto heels. One leg in front of the other, hips hitching rhythmically right then left.Erotic images flashed through his head. He could easily picture those legs cuffed at the ankle with black leather straps. Her thin wrists circled with leather and secured above her head on a massive bed. That long red mane swept over her face. Her red lips, full and pouty, huffing out breath after orgasmic breath. And then....Him, shackled to the wall. The soft, leather riding crop in her hand, tapping, brushing, slapping over his ass. Her ivory hands moving over his body, in stark contrast to his deep brown skin. Her breath hot against the fine, sweaty hairs at the back of his neck….“Shit,” he hissed again. “Fuck.” He was in trouble.

Bella Masters frequently disappoints her parents. She wishes she could spare them the pain but it’s unavoidable. At first it was the tatts and piercings. Then dropping out of college. When she was discovered in the basement of her father’s church with half of the town council — their pants around their ankles and her floggers at her side — her secret lifestyle as a Dominatrix was speculative no more. So Bella went with it and never looked back. After all, a little pain is a beautiful thing. Isn’t it?
Yeah, that bio was fun to write. Was it fun to read? Seriously, though, Bella Masters is a 50-something grandmother, who pecks away at her computer all day, wearing only her underwear, writing deliciously smutty stories. Now, there’s a mental picture for you!
Or, Bella Masters could be the erotic pen name of a popular and bestselling contemporary romance author who decided to use a pen name for her little erotic stories simply to make her mother happy.
Whatever bio you believe, it’s all good, right? Bella writes BDSM in various flavors, ménage à trois relationships, and same sex relationship stories. She doesn’t like to limit her options (or her bios). Fantasy is a beautiful thing. Isn’t it?

Author, author... Cold Warriors & Ice and Peace with Clare Dargin
A Journey Into A New World
I love watching sci-fi movies that draw me in. When I go to the movies and the lights are turned down and film flickers to life and that space ship blasts across the screen I am in a different world. Lately I've been totally into JJ Abrams interpretation of the Star Trek Universe.
It's like when I watch it, I'm enthralled because he immerses us in that world. From the clothes, the technology, the sounds and the people. They are just as vested in what they do in their extraordinary lives as we are in our normal ones. And that's the best part. JJ draws us into the amazing and makes it appear mundane enough for us to believe that it is plausible.
The same thing goes for an amazing book, the first few pages are key for creating an atmosphere of reality to where we as the reader are right there from the beginning to the very end. And that's what I try to do in every book that I write.
For instance, when I was writing Cold Warriors, I would often have long periods between writing (mostly because life got in the way). But when I wanted to regain the feel of the book, I never had to dig deep in the middle to find it, I just clicked on the first page:

Excerpt from Cold Warriors-
Lieutenant Zale Melbyrne, of the U.S. Marines First Platoon Combat Search And Rescue Squadron (CSAR), climbed wearily out of his yellow Harsh Terrain Snow Tractor (HTST). It was his squadron’s fourth check in an eighty-kilometer zone, and there was no sign of the missing Expeditionary Team. He had a sinking feeling that their luck was running out. He stepped forward. His foot crunched against the steadily hardening snow. Greeted by an icy wind, he shuddered. He zipped up his black parka and pulled his hood tight over his cap-covered head to protect himself from the subzero temperatures. Tau Ceti III’s bitter cold was legendary, along with its ability to give cold injuries so deep, muscles and even bones were permanently ruined.
He squinted and gazed at the snow-covered landscape. Over two miles thick, and in some locations, crusted with long stretches of ice, Tau Ceti III was Satan’s frozen equivalent of Antarctica back on Earth except not as pretty and with no animals or life to speak of whatsoever. Essentially a white desert, the piercingly dry air could rip the moisture right out of a person’s body in a matter of minutes.
Freezing and thirsty, it was a miserable way to die.
If I wanted easy then I should have picked a desk job.
To me, that scene with Zale Melbyrne framed the type of life that the Hero and Heroine have to overcome in order to obtain happiness. By the way, even though Zale is a minor character, he has developed a little following of his own!
In the second book in The Cold Warriors Universe, 'Ice and Peace,' the hero and heroine are faced with new challenges to overcome.

A quick blurb-
A New Threat? After a long and vicious war, peace is on the horizon for Earth and its allies. However, a series of mysterious attacks on several secret military installations causes hostilities to rise once again.
Redemption. Having left under a cloud of disgrace, retired Marine Colonel Medoro Keegan is called back to duty.
Bound. His wife Caitlin, the only surviving member of her team, chooses to embrace life, albeit grudgingly, as a cryo soldier. Seen as sub-human, she is forced to serve a planet that denies her rights as a person.
Driven. Guided by their sense of duty and belief that some things are bigger than them, they are determined to risk it all.
Hope. The cost of war is high. Can their love and marriage survive? Or will it be killed off by the very same mission that brought them together?
~Excerpt~
Caitlin was a sight for sore eyes. She was beautiful. Her petite frame was perfectly accented by the curves of her figure. And her brown eyes and coffee-brown skin was smooth, creamy.
Standing at attention, she did not meet his gaze. Though it was customary not to do as a sign of military courtesy, he could tell she was not doing it for that reason. Her gaze was different. Circling her, he tried to see if he could catch her watching him out of the corner of her eye. In fact, she appeared to be staring blankly ahead.
Peering directly at her, he spoke in a soft tone. “At ease.”
She relaxed.
“Cate. Can you hear me?”
“Yes, sir,” she responded mechanically.
Pain pierced his insides. She was definitely not there. Keegan placed his hands on his hips and hung his head in defeat. The one thing that was supposed to go right did not. For whatever reason, they had placed her in a deeper state of mental control than she’d ever been in. He controlled the hostile emotions brewing with him. Touching her face gently, he felt her icy skin.
This is unacceptable! Not here. I will not let this happen here. Not under my command.
“Chief, listen up,” he said in an authoritative tone. He knew in this state, it was the only way he could speak to her and still have her respond.
“Yes, sir.” Her gaze became even more distant.
Her response fueled his anger. “You are going to hightail it down to the doc and receive a full examination. Tell him it is based on my orders. He will know what to do. Is that clear?”
“Yes, sir.”
Knowing that she was under the influence of cryo neurotransmitters, Keegan figured the only way to combat it was to get someone to reverse it. They usually wore off once she was away from the stimulus triggers for a long period of time. But considering her stimulus triggers were high-ranking officers in uniform and combat situations, being around here meant she was going to be in a drone zone for a very long time. The last thing he needed was a zombie on board, especially one in charge of the lives others.
Only the jerks in psyche warfare thought doing this to someone would be a good idea. As long as he was running the ship, none of that would be allowed. There weren’t going to be any super zombies soldiers on board his ship. And he’d rollover in his grave before he let them do it to his wife.
“After you come back from the doc, you will report to me, understood?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Are there any questions?”
“No, sir.”
“Dismissed.”
She did an about face before leaving the room. Keegan clasped his hands behind his back. In the blink of an eye, his joy had turned to sorrow. Now faced with the responsibility of looking after his wife, he wondered how could he handle the burden of command and still protect the woman he loved.
Cold Warriors and Ice Peace is not your typical military read. Futuristic Romances with a science fiction twist, they will draw you in and keep you there, and no doubt you'll love the ride!

Finding Heroes in Everyday Life
When I create heroes for my romance novels, I like them to be real guys. Men you might actually know. Sure, they need to possess alpha qualities since no one wants a wimpy hero, but they need to have elements of the guy next door. Consequently, I’m always on the lookout for heroes, and I live in a fortunate location for hero watching. From my front porch, I have an excellent view of my local police and fire stations. I spend the nicer months of the year watching how my local emergency personnel walk, joke around with each other, swing into moving vehicles with turnout gear on, peel out of the station on the way to a call, and cook dinner on the beat up grill next to the fire station. Bits and pieces of these men have formed characteristics of my heroes.( I hope they never realize why I’m out on my porch so much with a notebook.)Recently, I found material for a different kind of hero from the porch. On a beautiful Saturday when I was settling into my Adirondacks chair to write this blog (and keep an eye on the basketball game at the fire station), I noticed an extraordinary quantity of insects in my front yard. We live near a body of water that spawns some irritating but harmless flying bugs so at first I didn’t pay much attention. Then the steady drone of bees caught my ear. I followed the flight of several bees to a quivering cluster of honeybees the size of a basketball on my ornamental plum tree. After watching in fascination (and telling the kids to stay far away), I pondered what to do. Like a rational adult, I called my parents. My parents always seem to know the right people. Sure enough, my dad made a call and within an hour, the beekeeper (we’ll call him Jim) appeared at my house suited up in sturdy white fabric and screening. Gently, he moved the mass of bees into a wooden box and stood by while the stragglers made their way into the box to join the queen. Since he was a talker (and I’m a professional listener and observer), I got a thorough lesson on the art of beekeeping. Late that night, Jim returned to collect his prize by light of flashlight. After herding in a few bees who lingered on the outside of the box, Jim secured the box with duct tape and stowed it in his car (in his car!) to drive home. He pulled out of my driveway still fully suited up in beekeeping gear in case any of the bees escaped the box and flew around in the car’s interior. Jim was my hero that day. He responded quickly, saved me from the peril of the bees, and gave me tons of information about beekeeping. Everyday heroes doing what they do. Now, Jim’s on the other side of sixty so he won’t directly make an appearance as a hero in one of my books, but he’ll be the prototype. He’ll evolve into the beekeeper who gets called to an old house where my heroine (maybe a young widow with a son) has bees in the walls. Or maybe she’s not a widow, but inherited the family farm and is trying to revitalize it, but the bees keep causing her problems. Or the fictional Jim might be teaching a class on beekeeping which my heroine takes and gets lots of private instruction on the uses of honey. You get the idea. The possibilities are nearly endless, but one way or the other, everyday men make great heroes.

Excerpt:Belinda barely made it twenty paces outside the Hazel’s door when Sidney came alongside her and fell into step. He didn’t reach for her arm as she expected, but he was close enough that they bumped shoulders.
“I believe it was my job to see you home this evening,” he said as they crossed the center of the square.
“You’re undoing years worth of work on my part.” She tried for a light, breezy tone as if his presence were entirely superfluous.
“How so?”
“I’d finally convinced Benjamin that I didn’t need an escort. After you return to the States, I’m sure he’ll go back to walking me home and I shall have to start all over again.”
“My apologies, but there’s an obvious difference between his intentions and mine.”
“Is there?” she questioned. “The walk is the same.”
“I’m sure Benjamin does not wish to kiss you as I do.”
“Mr. White.” She stopped in the glow of a street light and faced him, trying to formulate a firm rebuff and control her rapidly beating pulse.
“Please, will you call me Sidney?”
“No, I don’t think I shall. You may turn back now. I can see my gate.” She resumed walking. Any man of sense would cease following her.
“Do you dismiss Mr. Barth in the same way? Or is he allowed a kiss and entrance past your door?”
“My relationship with Mr. Barth is not your concern. Please leave me or I shall have to assume Benjamin’s ill opinion of you is correct and my hasty judgment a few nights ago was erroneous.” She tried for a haughty tone to use as a weapon against him, but as usual it failed her. Being too nice could be a curse at times. “Perhaps you are a rogue after all,” she finished, slightly breathless, with one hand on her gate and the other held out in a gesture meant to stop him.
Brushing by her upraised hand, he closed the distance between them. “I hate the thought of proving my brother-in-law correct,” he put a finger under her chin and tipped her face up, “but some things are worth the risk.”
His lips were soft, yet demanding, as they met hers. She wanted to resist, to seal her lips tight, but the stirring of passion she felt in him under the controlled surface matched hers. When his arms circled her, she placed her hands on his lapels not to push him back, but to touch him, to have the impression of his strength on her fingers. He broke the kiss she’d been unable and unwilling to resist and mercifully stayed silent while her world righted itself. No man other than Heath had ever kissed her, held her like this. She’d evaded Mr. Barth and he was too nice to press her. This man was different. He had no fear of demanding what he wanted. She had every fear of giving in to his demands.
“Goodnight, Belinda,” he whispered close to her ear.
About the Author:
May loves romance. Big pink roses, chocolate hearts, sunset walks, but, most of all, she loves romance novels. She’s been reading romances since she first discovered the public library where the librarians didn't notice or didn't care what she was checking out even though she hadn't hit puberty yet. Since then, May has continued to read every genre of romance, but she writes mostly historical. Places and time periods have stories to tell. And she likes to listen. Her most recent novels are Victorian era pieces where she can imagine beautiful gowns and elegant teas.
When May’s not writing, she manages a houseful of children, pets, and flowers grown in her garden.

CHAPTER ONE He knew she was the one from the moment he laid eyes on her she walked into the fertility clinic. After meeting a parade of women that the surrogacy agency had set up, Jack Van Buren had started to come to the conclusion that he would never find the woman who would carry his baby, his heir. Each woman he had been introduced to had been perfectly lovely, smart, and engaging in conversation. Each one spoke of how healthy she was and how much she wanted to help someone’s dreams of parenthood come true…at a very hefty price of course. Jack couldn’t put a finger on it, but none of them felt right. He was looking for much more than an egg donor and a rented uterus. Jack wanted the woman who actually carried his child and lived at his home from the second trimester until she delivered to be someone he felt some sort of connection with, someone he admired. Just when he thought he might give up the search, he met Bianca. “This is Ms. Bianca Forrester,” Shannon O’Dailey, the surrogacy agency owner, said smiling widely. Jack knew that Ms. O’Dailey was growing concerned that he wouldn’t meet the woman who would seal the deal and land her hefty commission. “Pleased to meet you,” Bianca said. Her flowing, wavy auburn locks, green eyes, and peaches and cream complexion spoke of the Irish heritage written about in the profile he read on her. And she had a twinkle in her eye that suggested she may be skeptical of him versus ready to dive head first into an agreement. Jack liked that. “My pleasure,” Jack said, shaking her hand. “I appreciate you taking the time to meet with me this afternoon.” “Why don’t we all sit and have a chat?” Ms. O’Dailey said, motioning to the black leather sofas in her office and a coffee table that had a tea set on it. “Please, also help yourself to some tea.” Jack noticed that Bianca’s eyes had grown wide when she walked into the room and saw him. He wondered if she recognized him from one of those unfortunate recent tabloid articles he appeared in when he’d dated an ex-reality TV star. His family, including his brothers Max and Bruce, couldn’t understand why he just didn’t find the right woman and settle down if he really wanted to be a father. Max had finally settled down and married, and Bruce, long considered to be the last brother to probably get hooked up, had just gotten engaged to a woman from the office. In addition, his family was worth over a billion dollars and owned a chain of successful Mexican restaurants named Tio Jose’s, or TJ’s for short. Money mixed with handsome usually equaled a prime catch in most people’s world. Jack was still a little shy of thirty, and if pressed, he’d admit that many women found him attractive. At over six feet tall with crystal blue eyes, shoulder length sun-bleached hair he sometimes wore in a ponytail, and a trim muscular body he could look like the stereotypical handsome Southern California surfer boy one moment. But put him in one of his tailored Armani suits and he looked like the successful young businessman he actually was. He had developed the reputation of being quite the party animal and had appeared more than once in the Hollywood gossip rags. Most recently for renting Jackie Onasis’ former yacht and taking a group of his thirty closest friends on a sun and boozed filled trip to Cabo San Lucas. The previous year he had even briefly dated a one hit wonder pop star who’d made a name for herself with one of those embarrassing sex tapes with a famous rap artist. There was no shortage of women hoping to be hanging onto the arm of Jack Van Buren at the latest Los Angeles hotspot, but Jack held a secret that he shared with no one. Deep down he wondered if he could really trust any woman who wanted to be with him. If it hadn’t been for his looks or more importantly his money, would they still want to be there with him watching the sun rise early in the morning from the deck of his Malibu Canyon house? His parents’ continuing stormy, drama-filled marriage, their third to each other to be precise, also hadn’t fostered a sense of future healthy romantic relationships. He had been surprised when his bachelor brothers suddenly found their dream women, settled down, and embraced fatherhood even at their ages. Despite his wild boy ways though, Jack loved his nephews dearly. The time he spent with them and the unconditional love they gave him had him craving to have his own child even if that meant being a single father. And Jack felt much more ready for fatherhood than being a husband. But then he’d always done everything his way on his own timeline. Be damned what others thought. “So, Mr. Van Buren, may I ask why?” Bianca said, peering at him over her tea cup. She’d turned the tables on him just that fast. After interviewing prospective surrogates who appeared to be doing double time to impress him, this woman was putting him in the hot seat. Ms. O’Dailey shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Jack found Bianca’s boldness refreshing though. “Why what, Ms. Forrester?” he asked. “Please call me, Bianca,” she said, pushing a few stray strands of hair behind her ear. “I’m curious to know why you’d like to be a father and especially a single father via a surrogate. Are you gay?” Jack chuckled and said, “I can assure you I’m not gay, Ms. Forrest…Bianca.” He noticed that she wore minimal, if any, make-up. And the truth was she didn’t need it. She had a naturally radiant complexion that he found refreshing in a city where many women were carefully put together before leaving the house. “I hope you don’t mind my being so forward,” Bianca continued. “It’s just if I were to carry a child for someone I’d want to make sure they were having that child for the right reasons.” Her voice trailed off a bit before she added, “So many people have children when they’re not ready for them.”

What seemed to be love flared in the woman’s green eyes, further softening her features. A welcoming smile broke across her delicate mouth, creating two dimples.Pure wonder overcame him. He couldn’t look at her enough to satisfy his lust, heart, and soul.Reddish-brown hair, shiny and thick, cascaded down her back, the tendrils around her exquisite face wiggling in the wind. Her slender throat bobbed gently with her swallow. Even before he looked, he knew three moles circled her navel, the marks he’d been looking for.It didn’t make sense. None of this did.For some reason, he expected her to be wearing a yellow gown, elegant and modest in design.Clothed in a thong the locals called fio dental or dental floss, she seemed unaware or unconcerned that its bronze color matched her skin, creating an illusion of nudity. The tips of her nipples strained against the stretchy fabric that barely contained her full breasts. No more than a scrap of cloth hid her cunt from him and not very well. The Lycra revealed the outline of her slit that led to her hot, wet sheath. His lungs burned for air. Steadying himself, he dug his toes in the mud, feeling the bite of sand instead. Surprised and confused, he looked down. Her voice whispered in his mind, “Esta vez cuando tocamosa.”The words lingered, chasing away the remaining sounds until they disappeared, leaving a heavy silence. He managed a swallow and a shallow breath that left him hungry for more. Lifting his face, he stared at her, tenderness overwhelming him. Her voice, her promise echoed in his thoughts.Esta vez cuando tocamosa. This time when we touch.Hope roared through him with the arrogance of youth, followed by a broken man’s despair. He stopped lifting his hand to invite her closer. Unease crept through him. A warning rang in his mind to keep his distance, to do everything he could to keep her safe.Above, a gull cried out, interrupting his apprehension, bringing with it the other sounds. Women laughed, men boasted, children shrieked. The reality and normalcy of the beach intruded.Unsteady, Patrick blinked. What in the hell was happening?Rubbing water from his eyes, he didn’t immediately look up, concerned that she’d vanished. That she hadn’t been real to begin with. Her patient gaze told him how wrong he was. She regarded him as though no one else existed.Patrick’s chest pumped with his erratic breaths. Blood flowed to his groin. His cock thickened painfully wanting inside her sweet cunt.Just as he was about to act on impulse and go to her, a man from behind caught Patrick’s attention. He looked to be in his early thirties. Although she seemed unaware of him, he stared at her naked ass and legs, his attention more than appreciative. It was fucking possessive, possibly jealous. The kind of prick who talked with his fists to keep a woman in line.Patrick went hot with outrage, his only thought to see that she was safe. He crossed the beach, stopping directly in front of her. She lifted her face to his, her expression guileless, brimming with what seemed to be adoration.Baffled…grateful, he recalled her voice in his mind. Or what he thought had been her voice. This time when we touch. He remembered his concern, the insane idea that he had to protect her. From the guy behind her? Some other man? Or from himself? The thought should have struck him as crazy, but he couldn’t dismiss it. Taking a step back, Patrick asked what he had to know but was afraid to face. “Who are you?”

Accidentally Married on Purpose
Rachel Harris

One ring plus one wild night equals one crazy love
Sherry Robicheaux loves men. She loves love. And she loves an adventure. So when she meets a mysterious man while working backstage at a country music concert in Vegas, she’s all about what happens in Vegas staying there.Country music superstar Tyler Blue just wants a weekend of anonymity…though there’s something about the spunky waitress with the streaks of purple hair that tempts him like no other. Until the next morning, when they both wake up with fuzzy memories…and rings on their fingers.Convincing Sherry to maintain the ruse for his public image isn’t the hardest part—it’s reminding himself that their time spent playing husband and wife in her small town of Magnolia Springs can’t last. Tyler’s first love will always be music—and the road is no place for a sweet downhome girl.

Author Bio:Rachel Harris writes humorous love stories about sassy girls-next-door and the hot guys that make them swoon. Emotion, vibrant settings, and strong families are a staple in each of her books...and kissing. Lots of kissing.
A Cajun cowgirl now living in Houston, she firmly believes life's problems can be solved with a hot, sugar-coated beignet or a thick slice of king cake, and that screaming at strangers for cheap, plastic beads is acceptable behavior in certain situations. She homeschools her two beautiful girls and watches way too much Food Network with her amazing husband.
An admitted Diet Mountain Dew addict, she gets through each day by laughing at herself, hugging her kids, and losing herself in story. She writes young adult, new adult, and adult romances, and LOVES talking with readers!

Excerpt:She tugged open the door and barely got a foot past the threshold when a young woman appeared out of nowhere. “Are you Sherry?”“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!” Sherry clutched her chest, panting as she glanced around the front yard. “Were you, like, hiding in the bushes?”“Are you Sherry?” the woman asked again, her blond head bobbing as she consulted her phone. She nodded. “Yep, it’s her.”Before Sherry could respond, or ask whom she was speaking to, an older man materialized with a literal flash.Blinking in surprise, she stared in confusion at the camera in his hand. Angelle clasped Sherry’s shoulder and whispered, “Are you in some sort of trouble?”“Uh, not that I’m aware of,” she whispered back.Angelle’s eyes narrowed. “Excuse me, what exactly is this about?” Hand on jutted hip, her southern manners and newfound feisty personality made for an interesting combination. The blonde held up her palm. “We’re from Country Insider and just want the exclusive scoop about her recent trip.” Behind her, the cameraman flashed some type of official-looking badge.“Exclusive scoop?” Sherry asked with a laugh. “Do your readers really want to know the eating habits of roadies and crew members? Because I hate to tell you, sweetie, I never met Blue. If you’re looking for dirt, you’re barking up the wrong tree.” And flew a heck of a long way for nothing.Instead of looking disappointed, the woman rolled her eyes. “Sure you didn’t. It was another purple-haired waitress from Louisiana who married him.”Wait…“Married?” Sherry and Angelle asked at the same time. They looked at each other, and Sherry lifted her shoulders to say, I don’t know what she’s talking about. It wasn’t a total lie, either. But Angie’s gaze grew suspicious. The weight of the ring on Sherry’s finger grew heavy and she took a step back. This was seriously the oddest prank ever invented. With three pairs of eyes watching her with varying degrees of interest, she said, “Honey, for real, I don’t know who your source is, but you got some facts confused.”Though not nearly as much as Sherry wished.“So this isn’t you and Tyler Blue outside the Love Me Tender Wedding Chapel two days ago?” She held up her cell phone displaying, in embarrassing full color, a picture of her and Tyler. Sherry was wearing that horrid veil, and he was in a ridiculous top hat.Crap on a freaking, stupid, flaming stick!Angelle’s jaw dropped in Sherry’s peripheral. The time for denial was over. Sighing, she admitted, “Okay, that is me, but that’s not…” Her head snapped back and she snatched the woman’s phone. “Hold on, what did you say his name was?”“Tyler Blue,” she replied with a huge smile, glancing back at her cameraman. She gave him some sort of signal and he stepped forward—just as the ground under Sherry’s feet started to shift. “Lead singer of Blue, God’s gift to country music. And your new husband. Am I right?”
