Their Silent Graves by Carla Kovach

Their Silent Graves by the talented Carla Kovach. I read this book in two sittings. Here's my review.

Wow, this series just gets better and better.

When a night of frivolity uncovers a shallow grave. It’s not the only one to be uncovered by the police. Pointing to a serial killer with a sinister MO.

In my opinion, this has to be the hands down best book in what has become my favourite detective series of all time.

The fact that DI Gina Harte’s personal life is brought to a head makes this a page-turner not to miss.

A fabulous read from start to finish and one that I will be recommending for many years to come.

Their Silent Graves: A completely gripping and addictive crime thriller (Detective Gina Harte Book 7) by [Carla Kovach]

My review of Noelle Holten's Dead Perfect.

I love this series. I read this book over the weekend, couldn't get enough of it as it was such a gripping read. Thank you to Noelle for giving me an ARC this time round. :-)

DC Maggie Jamieson is in two minds whether to attend a crime scene or night, fearing it might be her close friend Dr Kate Maloney who has been stalked for a while.

When the victim's true identity is learnt Maggie's shocked to find that there is more than an uncanny resemblance to Kate, thankfully it wasn't her though.

However, throughout the novel Kate lives her life in fear with a murderer on the loose.

More bodies show up, again resembling Kate. It's up to Maggie and her team to sift through the clues to uncover who the killer is and more importantly what his motive is for killing the women.

I love the insight Noelle gives to the procedure side of things, having worked for the probation service for over twenty years.

Can't wait to read Moore, each book is getting better and better in this gripping, tension-filled series. Highly recommended.

Up and running again

Wow, has it really been two years since I've updated my blog? Apparently it has. My excuse, I've been writing solidly in that time. For the past eighteen months or so I've endured a punishing schedule of writing and publishing a book a month. Hard to believe and no easy task I can tell you, especially while caring for my 83 year-old mother.

Anyway, now I've finally settled into a routine, I'll be keeping up to date with my blog in the future, I promise. :-)

I'm reading far more books now that life has been turned upside down by this blasted virus which, let's face it, has affected the whole damn world. So many lives unnecessarily taken from us because of something that originated from China. :-(

That's enough about that, my fans have been telling me they've also been reading more during the pandemic, more out of the need to escape the reality of what has plagued and impacted our lives over the past three to four months.

It'll be good to get back to normal, hoping that's just around the corner for some of us, I'm fed up with cooking and in dire need for a meal out, cooked by someone else. LOL

Here's a picture of the man in my life, Dex, enjoying a walk down by the River Wye, without taking him out daily during the crisis, I think I would have lost my mind. :-)

Blog tour - Cheryl Elaine's Stitched.

I'm thrilled to be part of the blog tour for Cheryl Elaine's fabulous new thriller, STITCHED. I'm a huge admirer of Cheryl's work, her NO ORDINARY GIRL, shot to the top of my list of all-time reads last year. She definitely has a vivid imagination.

Here's my review of Stitched. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Gruesome crimes. What really goes on behind closed doors?

Yes, this book covers the horrendous issue of domestic abuse but that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is something far more sinister going on.

Andrew Brooke is a cop, dedicated to his job but his wife, Emily is a broken woman.

Will she be able to escape years of abuse and find the happiness she deserves?

Another incredible read from Cheryl Elaine.

Here's the blurb;

A gruesome tale of control, fear and brutality. Marriage is not the bed of roses story books describe. More like a bed of torturous thorns. And, how Emily bled. Escape seemed an illusion, a mirage of a rocky road between overgrown thickets of despair. Emily couldn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel; she wasn’t allowed to dream or think for herself and had no alternative other than submitting to his rage. Andy was a narcissist. Emily could not, and would not, disregard his superiority.
Her naivety often clouded her judgment; she was damaged both mentally and physically. Would putting her trust in another lead her to a happy ending?

New release and a cover reveal

Happy 2018...Hi everyone, I hope Santa was good to you this year. I received plenty of gift vouchers in my Christmas stocking, I think my family are fed up with pulling their hair out wondering what to buy me. :-)

I hope 2018 brings you much peace and joy. We'll be on the move again in March, hopefully for the final time. But I promise moving house won't get in the way of me bringing you a ton of new releases this year. The Kayli Bright trilogy will be released over the coming few months and I've just started writing the sixteenth book in the Justice series due for release in April.

I'm super excited to tell you that The Missing Children has been very well-received by the ARC team and I can't wait to hear your reaction.

I'm thrilled to announce that The Missing Children is now live on Amazon. You can pick up your copy of the first book in the series at a special introductory price of only 99c/99p here.

http://smarturl.it/themissingchildren

Here's what to expect from this gripping thriller.

"I want my mummy..."

The whisper seems to echo through the rooms of the abandoned house. DI Kayli Bright and her partner, DS Dave Chaplin, aren't strangers to dealing with bad cases, but no one can prepare for the emotional and mental anguish caused by the discovery of a child's remains.

Determined to find the responsible culprit, several of the dead child's family members surface on their radar of suspects...until they learn of another child's abduction.

The investigation leads Kayli to the shocking conclusion that even more children in the area have been abducted. A race against time ensues to find the children before they get lost in a sinister, evil world.

I'm excited to reveal the cover for Killer on the Run, the second book in the thrilling DI Kayli Bright series which is available on Amazon.

http://smarturl.it/killerontherunHere's the description.

DI Kayli Bright is called to the scene of a terrible accident that appears to be a case of careless driving. However, her gut reaction tells her there’s much more at stake. Within hours, her suspicions are confirmed when she is called to investigate a second incident on the same stretch of road. This time there is no doubt in Kayli's mind that she's dealing with a murder enquiry.

Are the two incidents connected? Is Kayli looking for a driver with a severe case of road rage? Or is there a twisted serial killer on her patch?

As Kayli sifts through the web of lies to capture the killer, her personal life seems to be falling apart. Her fiancé, Mark, returns home from his new job oversees a changed man. What is he hiding? Could Mark's dark secret be destructive enough to put an end to their relationship?

13th Victim - new release

It's a happy release day to Linda S Prather. Here's my review of this stunning read.

Linda Prather has done it again. She’s created a stunning mystery that is character driven and full of intrigue.

Ten years ago Andi Carter was tortured for days by her lover’s partner, Richard Thomas. When she was rescued she lost everything- the man she loved and her job as an investigative reporter along with some of her memory from around the time she was abducted.

Depressed and often seeking solace at the bottom of a whiskey glass, she’s snatched from her stupor when a young girl reaches out for help through the classified ads of the newspaper where she now works.

What unfolds is a blood curdling tale of a dozen young girl’s bodies buried beneath concrete. A 13th Victim will do all she can to survive, including murder.

A fast-paced mystery about vengeance and righting wrongs of the other twelve victims.

Loved the characters and the pace of this page-turning mystery. A cracking addition to Linda’s other stunning novels.

Be sure to pick up your copy of this belter of a thriller at the introductory price of only 99c/99p from  Amazon All Stores
