I just finished watching Malice on Amazon (six episodes over two evenings), and I wonder if I'm the only one who reads it as a parable for how we ended up with figures like Mamdani at the top of the power pyramid.

Similarly, the villain in the second season of "Gen V" is conceited, callous,  ruthless, sociopathic Mamdani clone who psychically manipulates  students at the college he runs. Spoiler: he's a puppet for someone else far more powerful.


Fair warning:  "Gen V" is not for kids even though it's about mostly corrupt, immoral superheroes. It's a spin-off of "The Boys" and it won't make sense unless one has watched both "the Boys"  and "Gen V" season one. Both shows are packed with graphic violence, nudity and bizarre sex.

I just finished watching Malice on Amazon (6 eps / 2 nights). Am I the only one who reads it as a parable for how we end up with Mamdani types at the top of the power pyramid?

This Mattress Mack should have cooperated with Emma Sulkowicz, a student at Columbia U, who carried her mattress everywhere she went to raise awareness about systemic rapism.

She could've put Mac's logo on her mattress and made some money for her campaign - and then Mac could've also sold more mattresses nationwide. He could've even included that in his "Defender" video. And then they would together apologize to the guy whom she falsely accused of rape, and maybe give him some money too, and he would walk around with the Mattress Mack logo, offering free rapes to anyone interested.
