Run Blogging
5K in 45 minutes is slow as hell, but I managed it all with no walking, so I'll take it.

Then you get to eat shit, space cowboy (episode 3). #submissionsdontmatter
Sent "Pony" off to Analog, because why not? And third time's a charm, right?
Right?
Right?

I sent the spider story to Coffinmouth. Despite the threats of an army of rabbits.

Blue Vervain Murder Ballad #5 Lily of the West, which, for some reason, I sat on for two years, is now flying on a wicked tune to places that I hope, owing to Ayelish's allergies, are not full of bees.

Submissions Don't Matter
And Pony is back. The turnaround at Lightspeed was quick, though, and the rejection was encouraging.
If I wrote more SF, I would sub to them again.

I am the maker of wings that you teach, teach me how to sew...
1. I've sent out a whole lot of stuff, mostly poems, to a whole lot of places.
2. I am done with the new first section of King of Pine, made infinitely better by some well timed and sage advice from
aliseadae
and (though she knows it not) a different direction supplied by
erzebet
. I know where that story is going, I just need to let it sit while the brain follows the trajectory.
3. Push-ups continue. I am considering adding squats (I seem to remember enjoying those back in the day, and what I've been reading is that those, push-ups and cardio is a respectable exercise routine that hits all the things I want to hit). Today I did not run, but I walked a combined 5 or so miles, trying to get my legs used to standing and exercising. I am finding that it hurts more to slack off on push-ups than do them.
4. I just recovered the conceptual spider story, and have a much better grasp of the protagonist, so I am going to mess around with that a little, if I can.
5. Monday game went well. My players all opted to be of the Birch Province and be pitted against Maple, so I have to develop those two out, and thanks to
yendi
, I now have a notion to crib from Twitch of the Death Nerve for the first arc beyond the introductory.
6. Occular migraine with pain. I think I'm going to go abuse my liver and kidneys with analgesics before this gets too far ahead of me.

Okay, we're trying this again.
Yep, I have been on a lot asking for help for friends. And here I am again.
shadesong
's kitty Victoria broke her arm. Really. Recently we feared that Deedee had done the same, but it was VERY FORTUNATELY not so. I hadn't realized how fortunate until I heard about what fixing kitty legs involves and how much it costs.
The thing about broken arms on cats is that you can't just slap a cast on and be done with it; the arm won't heal. So she needs to have a metal plate implanted or an external/internal rig of pins and screws, depending on the severity of the break, which is why the estimate is rough - $4,700-$5,300.
sindrian
is offering cool things he makes, and I hear that there may be an auction, soon.
I am offering the last five pieces of Autumn War art, and whatever I can get painted in the next day or so...
For instance, this picture of kids of the Provinces:
Watch this space for more.
Art is now up for auction at
kittycyborg
. I am also offering to READ ALL THE THINGS. Go see.
In other news, we got
csecooney
to THE CITY for her play! Thank you!
