Untouched – Jerri Drennan

My critique group are a very industrious lot.  Everyday a new release and a new romantic adventure.  Today the lovely Jerri Drennan's book Untouched is out with Liquid Silver.  Why not wander over and take a look see.

 Botanist Madeline Wentworth is relieved to be heading into the Amazon, far from the university and the vicious rumors circulating about her failed love affair. But on arriving in Peru, her team finds their guide dead with a small puncture wound to his neck. Waiting to replace him is Travis Kane, Amazon guide, treasure hunter, and superhunk. Mattie is instantly attracted but uncomfortably suspicious. When a member of her team falls ill and a similar puncture wound is found on his body, her suspicions deepen.

Travis has stuck with being a jungle guide for over ten years despite a run of unsavory clients. The rain forest is full of hidden ruins and undiscovered treasure, and he's determined to find his share. But when his grandfather dies, leaving a letter boasting of Templar gold, he's sure it's nothing more than an old man's delusion. Everything changes when he finds his grandfather's map. With high hopes, he leads Mattie's team into the rain forest and finds himself overwhelmed by the beautiful blonde. When the group is attacked and has to fight its way out of the jungle, Travis discovers something more precious than gold–the love of a woman who's made him want to be a better man.

Out of the Closet

I can't say enough about this book.  I had the absolute joy of critiquing the story as David wrote it and it is one of the funniest and most fantastic things I have ever read.  Not many books make me laugh out loud, this one had me gasping for breath.  Rumor has it a sequel is in the works.  I say…bring it on!!  Do yourselves a favour and scurry to Noble Publishing.  I can promise you won't regret it. 

  

I never once thought the day I came out of the closet no one would be home… except the cat.  And he was neutered.

Chaz is ready for the great reveal. He's carefully prepped himself for his private coming out party with new clothes, a handwritten invitation to a romantic dinner, and a solitary long-stemmed rose. Just one little problem – - the object of his affection, the beautiful Karl, isn't home.

While the cat that looks like a rat gnaws on his rose, Chaz doesn't hear the rough and tumble Mike, the third member of the trio of apartment-mates, walk in the door. Mike's not the least bit shy… about anything, including letting it be known how upset he his Chaz is in love with Karl.

Chaz and the cat contemplate the demise of Mike who is on a quest to sacrifice the cannibalistic cat, until Karl comes home and announces he's getting married – to a woman.

Could it get any worse for Chaz? Maybe. Mike's about to declare his undying love for Chaz. And he'll even throw a man off a twenty-story building to prove it.
