Releasing Soon!
My next novel, Willow Wood, will be released very soon. I'm very excited because I'm ready to start on my next series. Let me tell you a little about Willow Wood :
Nolan Ramsey thinks he wants to be alone. He leaves his life in the city, leaves his job as a news reporter, and buys a house in the middle of nowhere. He plans a life of complete isolation with just his dog, Scuba, for company.
Calinda Willow returns home to help her aging father at the end of his life. She copes with the loss by throwing herself into her work, rejects social invitations from her friend, Jackie, and thinks she is content with her solitary life.
They are both wrong.
Willow Wood will be available on Amazon as a kindle edition and in paperback. Stay tuned!

Moving House Again!
Surprise! I have moved again. I have never counted how many times I have moved in my lifetime, but I suspect it could not be done on my fingers and toes any longer. This time I have changed states, which always increases the work when settling in. I had to figure out how they do driver's license and vehicle tag registrations, as well as pertinent laws to be learned. I had to sell a house and buy a house, which oddly enough, is not done the same in all states.
It's a learning experience and always an engaging journey for me. I enjoy the challenge of new places and finding my way around. The downside is that my normal routines are put on hold and I get a bit behind with things I also enjoy.
With the move complete and all but two rooms (and the garage) full of boxes, I am ready to get back to reading and writing. I have lots of things going on:
I am currently in editing to create a bundle for the Eden Hall Series, so they can be purchased all together at a lower cost. I'm also in proof stages on Willow Wood, which is a standalone novel that should release by the end of the month. Finding Eden is currently under contract for an audio book with Audible.com. It should be available by the end of 2018. Hopefully, the rest of the Eden Hall Series will then be recorded and available in 2019.A first chapter has been written and plans are forming in my mind for a new series that will likely consume me for a while.I promise to post updates and hope you have great plans for the rest of the year too!

The Morning After
It is the morning after the night before
And I know it could not be again.
Was it good for you? It was good for me.
Do you think we could ever be friends?
I know that’s a question that shouldn’t be asked;
It makes people feel ill at ease.
But I thought at the time you could offer an answer;
Some soft consolation to please.
Now I see I was asking too much of a man
Unprepared to answer my eyes.
But I know soon he’ll learn to counter those questions,
To stroke and to smile as he lies.
Well, it’s the morning after the night before,
And I’m eating my breakfast alone.
I’m thinking of other mornings like this
And of other men that I’ve known.
I’m sure there will be more mornings like this
Though I really don’t need any more.
The memories of the mornings I try to forget,
While just remember the nights before.

The Whistler by John Grisham
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens.
Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct. After nine years with the Board, she knows that most problems are caused by incompetence, not corruption. But a corruption case eventually crosses her desk. A previously disbarred lawyer is back in business with a new identity. He now goes by the name Greg Myers, and he claims to know of a Florida judge who has stolen more money than all other crooked judges combined. And not just crooked judges in Florida. All judges, from all states, and throughout U.S. history.
My Take:
Now I noticed the reviews are mixed, but I really enjoyed this book. I also listened to the audiobook on audible.com and although that is a different experience, I still enjoyed the book. If you are from or familiar with the North Florida panhandle, you will be especially interested because the book is based in Tallahassee but ranges from St. Augustine to Pensacola in action settings. I find it always seems special when the descriptions of surroundings are something familiar to you.
