Let Me iSign Your iBook

What happens to the author inscription in the digital age? The problem hadn't really occurred to me until this morning, when I was emailing a friend who will probably buy my book on one electronic platform or another. I was about to suggest he come to the book party — so I could sign his book — when the logistical problem presented itself. How? Will signed books eventually seem as quaint as a hand-written Declaration of Indepedence or the once state-of-the-art IBM Selectric?

And the Winner Is…

Congratulations to Jane Clyburn of Lugoff, South Carolina, who won the "Cars from a Marriage" iPod nano contest by giving us the best story about love and cars. She requested a purple nano and that's what she's getting. Thanks to all 34 people who entered the contest and helped make my fan page a fun destination the past six weeks. Here's Jane's story:

Pub Day

God bless indies! Look at this display in the window of Watchung Booksellers in Montclair. No matter how small the order at Barnes & Noble, it feels good when you get a display like this in your hometown store. Montclair Book Center also had a copy in the window. And a friend of mine a few towns over couldn't find "Cars from a Marriage" at Borders, but had no trouble picking one up at Sages Pages in Madison.

So, publication day. Been dreading it for quite a while, as I explain in a guest...
