The best book I read this year
Richard McGuire's Here is by far the most extraordinary book I read this year. McGuire, who–as the bass player for the band Liquid, was responsible for one of the most famous bass lines in music history–has crafted an eons-spanning epic that takes place in the space occupied by one corner of one room in a 20th century home. Have yourself a watercolor Christmas





Kim has been painting up a storm lately. She's always wanted to learn how to paint with watercolors (her oils are on point), so she began doing daily watercolor paintings in her sketchbook. She had almost paintedevery object in our house when we put up the Christmas tree. She's painting an ornament every day.
