The Soccer Connection

Each year, the UNC Women's Soccer team holds a soccer clinic to benefit Carolina for Kibera's Sports Association.  What's more extraordinary than the fact that a top-ranked team takes time to give back to the Triangle community is that the clinic bridges an international divide.

Soccer is a like a religion in Kenya. The teams and score are followed devoutly and from the early years, children are taught the game. The UNC Women's Soccer team has found a unique way to share their passion for soccer with local youth all while helping teach them how Carolina for Kibera uses soccer to promote cross cultural understanding among youth in Kibera, the largest slum in East Africa.

Join us for this year's clinic: Saturday, April 23rd  from 13:20 -4pm at the Eddie Smith Field House @ UNC.

Register and learn more here. Registration Deadline is April 16th
