Thank you Anon!! While this year has been all kinds of sideways fucked up shit on the macro level for pretty much everyone on earth, 2017 has produced a few good things for me on the personal front. Watching my baby go through his first year, and learning that there’s interest out there in my books, and enough interest that it’s being shopped for a television series.
So may the widening light of this next year also magnify your own and may we all find some consolation and hope in the midst of darkness.

The author of Receiver of Many/Destroyer of Light (a Hades/Persephone duology) is asking tumblr for fancasts of who people would like to see as the different characters and to reblog them to her executive producer. I wanted to ask you guys to signal boost amongst your readers because I thought this would be a good opportunity to prevent an all-white cast from happening. Also, the Greek gods in this series are syncretized with gods from other belief systems (ex. Hades is also worshiped as Yama, Nergal, Osiris, etc), which I don’t exactly care for but if it means there’s a valid reason for a multicultural cast, I’ll take it. @fandomshatepeopleofcolor I want to add, as the author of Receiver of Many, that I am PUSHING HARD for a multiracial cast.
One of the dominant things I’ve said to my fans is that I don’t want to see the typical butter cookie cutter casting call that happens for most films and TV series.
I want cast members of every conceivable background and color. I did an interview a few months back on “Behind the Scenes” where I say exactly that (my interview begins around 0:40:00).
