It might do to make amends, and then to bring Persephone into her circle. Persephone was a queen; a new queen, one that still needed to be taught— wrought and shaped into a true ruler. The Queen of the Underworld could be a powerful ally, especially with Elysion still new and largely unknown. She could use allies. And more still, a friend and equal. Hera could tell from Zeus’s reaction that Persephone would never be desired by her ever-wandering husband. What more, Persephone was clearly not one to be trifled with, even for one such as Zeus.

Hey everyone! I am having the best week EVER as far as being a shameless HxP nerd so I thought I’d thank the causes and share my favorite HxP creators!
- You. Yeah, you. Thank you SO much to anyone who has read, shared, favorited, followed, and especially reviewed my work. It means so much to me and has motivated me to keep writing by making a dynamic place I can get feedback and encouragement!
- Rachel Alexander (@therkalexander author of Receiver of Many, Destroyer of Light, and other short stories) is posting new chapters of The Good Counselor! Her books are the most poetic, hot, well written sex ever plus it uses so much in depth mythological detail with descriptive story telling of characters and a romance she has made her own.
She also has been so responsive to fan questions online, encouraging other writers, sharing advice, and did me the huge honor of recommending my work!
- Rachel Smythe (@usedbandaid - artist of comic Lore Olympus on Webtoon) - is posting new chapters this week! Her art style makes such beautiful use of color and texture, and her story telling is equal parts compelling, fun, and emotionally resonant.
I’m a huge fan and was so happily surprised when she posted a hilarious panel in response to an excerpt of my writing. It was the first “break” I’d ever gotten from a Tumblr post and was so exciting to me! She has also been so supportive of sharing fan art and cosplay on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr and responding to fans on Discord.
- After listening to the soundtrack for months, I finally saw Anais Mitchell’s Hadestown open on Broadway! It was so amazing: the cast and the music is great, the story is presenting the myth in a fun unique way, and the poetry of the songs is so incredible, striking, and relevant.
Cheers to these three badass women on their amazing creative work! Check it out if you haven’t already!
Is Pawns of Olympus the name of the TV series your books inspire? Or is it the name of the series of books you're writing? I'm really rooting for your books to be made into a tv show! I have read very little of Receiver of Many but I love it so much. And I
Thank you so much! If you’re looking to read the whole thing, check your local library system. Many carry my book. And if that’s not an option, I know that independent bookstores have a way in so you can order my books through them, or through Barnes & Noble if one exists near you.
It’s the “working title” for the TV show.
The book series is Hades and Persephone.
The reason Pawns of Olympus was chosen was because it was the most succinct way to sum up the gist of the series in a way that would catch the attention of studio heads in three words or less. Will it end up being the final title? Probably not just based on its acronym alone. But it’s the title of the project, currently.

I know you get a lot of questions about Hades and Persephone but I'm not sure if this has been asked yet. What MBTI type would you consider your version of Hades and Persephone to be? I could definitely see Hades as an IS** type.
Funny you should ask that. I decided to include MBTI in my character sheet attributes for each named character in my books when I wrote the Show Bible. I included each character’s MBTI, their Deady Sin, Heavenly Virtue, Character Strengths, and Character Flaws. And I did this for all. 63. named. characters. in my books.
Aidoneus’s biggest MBTI score is this giant towering “I” looming over the other three attributes. I have listed him as an INTJ.
Persephone is a solid INFJ.

Hermes pointedly shook the bronze cup several times and slammed the dice down on the stone. He heard a female yelp and a male curse, then the sounds of them fumbling about. Down the stairs came heavy footfall. • “Heh. Thirty six!” A shadow fell across Hermes’s perfect roll. • Hades loomed large, hair hanging loose and bedraggled over pale folded arms, his black himation roughly wound around his waist and slung over his shoulder. He said nothing. Hermes swallowed and stood up, then bowed. He fumbled with the scroll, pulling it from its casing. • “Ah… I bear an urgent message for Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, from—” • The Lord of the Dead swiped the scroll from Hermes’ hands. Papyrus crinkled in his tightening fist. • “Before you tear it up or set it on fire, it’s from Hera.” • “I’ll see she gets it,” he said, teeth on edge, then spun around and marched toward the staircase. Without a backwards glance, Aidoneus spoke to Hermes in perfect Minoan. “Stop reading my wife’s letters.”

This is one burn scar from the 2018 wildfires, as noted by some charred remains of various shrubbery in the photo. It’s truly amazing how much regrowth propagated in just 4 months due to our wet winter! This rebirth was spurred on by nitrates injected into the soil from the fire. All the invasive grasses, weeds, and native chaparral overgrowth were destroyed, which removed the competition for nutrients, water, and light, allowing for smaller natives to pop up in abundance. The flora in this coastal Mediterranean climate evolved adaptations consistent with surviving an occasional fire that cleanses this habitat from overgrowth. Even in some plant species, seeds will wait to germinate until after a fire, hence the term “fire follower.” This unique area experiences seasonal sustained Santa Ana gusts of 50+ mph for weeks at a time. My goal is to display all the beauty up close that one may find after the horror experienced from an ember carried on the wind in wildfire season. Furthermore, to bring appreciation for an area that many, may not understand due to the proliferation of media-hype and the general spread of misinformation across various platforms. I won’t be exactly disclosing each trail I photograph for nature preservation purposes, but the majority of my photos consist mainly of various parts of the vast expanse in the Santa Monica Mountain range, where I call home. I hope with each flower, leaf, or lichen I share, you will be as enamored as I am and it incites a desire in you to conserve our world for future generations. Enjoy!
Just finished reading the latest chapter for The Good Councillor ... AMAZING! Love the way you've put in the full names of our underworld family. Hades Aidoneus Chthonios and Zagreus Sabazios Eubouleus ... they have such meaning, it's beautiful. Can I ask
Persephone Praxidike Chthonios when she is below
Persephone Karpophoros Chthonios when she’s above. :)
