Inanna is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, justice, and political power. She was originally worshipped in Sumer and was later worshipped by the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyriansunder the name Ishtar. She was known as the “Queen of Heaven” and her most prominent symbols included the lion and the eight-pointed star.

wait is there actually a story where hercules tries to get with persephone? ive never heard of it!
No, I mentioned that I will be including all the Greek characters that journeyed to the Underworld in my series and I’m pretty sure that @thesupersass was referencing Pirithous and Theseus trying to abduct Persephone. Which I will absolutely be writing about in the next book in the series.

Oooh wait I’ll add something. So I know my OG reylos who were here since TFA will appreciate some good Hades and Persephone. I recommend Receiver of Many by @therkalexander This series is a really excellent retelling of the Hades and Persephone story, it’s excellent and intricate and well researched. The first two books are out, with more to come! Support self published authors!
Add some more stuff guys. I want something new to read / watch and I want to support original stories.
Story RecommendationsCould we pass this around? After TRoS made me angry, I would like some recommendations for some good original stories that I would actually enjoy.
I will start off with my own recommendations:
If you guys are upset and want to see Adam Driver do a soft, soothing movie with a beautiful gentle romance, please watch Patterson if you haven’t already. This movie is a bit different because the plot is kind of just a slow paced slice of life, but if you’re feeling upset after TRoS I think you’ll find it soothing.
And if you want a unique and exciting romance with an emotionally satisfying ending (and a handsome, brooding, dark haired character!) might I recommend a book: Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt. It’s in a vague medieval setting and has a bit of a fairytale feel, and is about a young woman lost in the woods who has made a bargain with Death to not take her and instead let her live a normal lifespan, if only she can find her true love in the next couple of days. But the plague is rolling in and she can’t seem to find anyone who is her true love in her small village, who begin to mistrust her strange abilities…. This book is in the YA section apparently and I liked it a lot, it made me cry if I recall. I think I’m going to reread it myself over New Years.
Can anyone add anything to this list? I would love some suggestions for some stories that AREN’T Star Wars that would make my little Reylo heart happy.
