“In his bones he knew it would be this way. She had gathered. He would hunt. It was the way of the primordial mortals, before copper and tin, papyrus and glass had drawn them away from the deeper rhythms of the world.” — The Good Counselor Ch. 4

A little fanart I made of @a-gnosis Persephone.
I adore her unique personality, and she absolutely rocks that Minoan haircut

AHHH! Thank you so much! This looks amazing!
At least the author made a What If comic on if Hades had directly asked then Demeter would have given her blessings as long as he swore an oath he'll never treat her like the other male Gods, so perhaps the author has been updating her character hopeful
Yes, I hope that her character will be explored later in the comic and that we get to see more of her sympathetic side.

nobody in greek mythology, especially the men and noble women, were good people when looking at them with modern morality. the sooner you can realize that and stop trying to justify their actions in order to enjoy the stories, the sooner you can start to genuinely empathize with and see the shared humanity in the narratives of these people from a deeply alien time, whose stories, although (and partially because) they come out of a culture built on hierarchy and exploitation and violence, still resonate with us today
What is this? Logic? In a Greek mythology post?
PS. Good luck finding any ancient or medieval culture NOT built on hierarchy, exploitation or violence. And even more good luck finding a modern society devoid of them.
