Mofo Ex Machina

Mofo Ex Machina:

adamnorwood:

Three printouts on Flickr from Penn & Teller's 1980's BBS, the login screen of which helped you set up one of their many "Three of Clubs" card force tricks. Here's how they described it in the back of their Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends book from 1987:

Got a modem? Call MOFO EX MACHINA, the bitchin'est BBS in the jungle. Just call 212-764-3834, hit ENTER twice, and type the password MOFO (300 or 1200 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop, no parity).

I still have this book! I don't have the "special" glasses or minibook that came with it, though. All the pages are printed so that they stick out weird, and only certain pages will show up if you flip through it one way or another. They did lotsa weird crap like this back in the day.

300 or 1200 baud… Gawdaaaaaam…

Three, sir!

This little Slipshine "story" is winding down and should be over by Thanksgiving.

I will be writing up another 100% Pure Beef Story over the next few days. Jordi Bayarri will draw it.

This Friday I will be at a Gorillaz concert.

Two weeks from now I will be in DC visiting my parents.

Three weeks from now I will be at New England Webcomics Weekend. Not as a guest, just visiting.

But I digress. New Wendy page!

Do your parents read your comics?

Nah. They think what I do is neat, but comics aren't really their thing.

Josh why are you easier to talk to in person?

If by that you mean why is it easier to get a response from me, it's simply 'cause I'm just a terrible procrastinator by nature, and… well, in real life when someone asks me something, I can't think to myself "Hmmm I'll have to think about that and answer it later", and then walk away, put it off for a bit, forget the conversation took place, suddenly remember two months later, and then come back with the response. That would just be weird and rude.

It's easy to do that with email, facebook posts, formspring Qs, etc though :x

Are you opposed to people writing fanfic of the New Girls? It just seems it'd be something fun to do. (I love Winter and Otra's sidekick-in-law.)

I'm not opposed to any kind of fanworks of anything I do. I'm not one of THOSE artists.

That Futurama pixel thingie making the rounds reminds me of a 4chan thread where everyone made their own versions of that kind of thing.

I made these two! But I'm not telling you what they are!
