This will be the first comic ever to use a parody of an old TurboGrafx game as its title page!

The Girly Box Set

4 hardcover books in one box, decorated with a neat illustration I will start working on soon.
"Girly, Book I & II" will contain comics 1-246. "Girly & Friends" will contain comics 247-503. "Girly Part 4 Episode 1" will contain comics 504-698 and "Girly Forever" will contain 699-764 plus some Special Features.
The few color pages will be printed in color, and everything else will be in pink ink.
This run will be pretty limited, based pretty much entirely on how many people preorder. If I get 300 preorders, I'll print 500. If I get 500, I'll print 800. And so on.
I'm aiming for June 2011 and I'll start taking preorders next month.

Some of you may know that I was working on a lot of revisions and rewrites and whatnot for the third book. This got really overambitious and is what mostly can be blamed for it never coming out. This has all been scrapped for the collection. To keep this book from being delayed June 2013, I'm planning to make it a pretty straight and simple collection, with print versions of everything as it appeared on the website, with each chapter preceded with notes from the author. The special features will include all the extras that were in the original printings of the first 2 books along with the other extra comics I've done since, all the guest comics I can get clearance to include, whatever neat illustrations and WIPs I can find on my computer, and at least one completely new thing.

PREORDERS IN JANUARY 2011 There will be a locally-hosted Kickstarter-type site where I will sell several different editions and special Packs of this thing, and to put things quite bluntly, if there's a repeat of the Book 2 fiasco and I only get around 150 preorders, this will not happen. NO PRESSURE or anything but THIS IS ALLLLL UP TO YOU YOU YOUUUUU

One last note: about a year ago a figure company emailed me about working on a Girly thing… Unfortunately I got so sidetracked and generally distracted that I have not contacted them in forever, but if it turns out they are still interested, I will see if I can make special editions that will include this figure.

I will be at the Webcomic Rampage at Dragon's Lair on Parmer Ln next weekend, and there I will start selling the remaining copies of Girly Volumes 1 and 2 for the super-budget price of $5 ea, to help me fund this mother. After the con I'll be reopening the webstore to sell the books at the same price.
