While I was moving to the new apartment last month,...
While I was moving to the new apartment last month, I located some drawings I did about a year-and-a-half ago at a life drawing co-op hosted at my old art college MCAD. So I thought I’d scan and clean them up a bit to show to people.
We had a really great model that night. She was in great shape and good at holding fun poses. She also had the greatest curly dreadlocks that were partially pulled back in a loose bun and a strong face. You can tell I had a lot of fun drawing her.
The really loose gestures were done in 2- and 5-minute segments. I think the really developed ones at the top and bottom were both 20-minute poses? (It’s been a while.) And there are some that were in-between.
I do prefer to sketch directly in ink. Keeps me from being too precious, and I think the drawings come out stronger for it.

HERE IS A QUICK SKETCH OF ANNA & IZZY BEING SUPER COOL DUDES, ACCOMPANIED BY SOME POTENTIALLY SUPER COOL NEWS
Diana & I, after spending pretty much the entire month of August moving, have almost completely finished moving. I am now situated in a cool, new office and I have to say, it’s pretty great.
I’m ready to continue Chapter 5 of You Suck sometime next week, if not sooner. I’m also ready to start some other things.
For those of you who don’t know, I have created and run this li’l site called Slipshine. I’ve ran it for the past 13 years. But recently, I’ve worked things out with my artists and other compadres to restructure things so the site will grow a bit faster whilst I step down from many of my duties and concentrate on my own things.
Things like You Suck, and…..?
Stay tuned for more You Suck comics, and maybe a super cool announcement.
