Some Thoughts

Did this very quickly. I wanted to capture the moment.

Style Test

For a thing. Not sure I'm quite there yet. Will keep experimenting.

CECAF Sketches 5

This one's just a daft idea I had on the spot. No actual vegetables were harmed during the drawing of this sketch (though I did eat a banana on the way home). For sale in the store.

CECAF Sketches 4

The Fez! He's everywhere! He's nowhere! He's a character I really want to do more with! This one, as is increasingly the custom around here, is for sale in the web store.

CECAF Sketches 3

Another one from Saturday – this is an old favourite, Knuckles the Malevolent Nun, pounding away on the skins (and available for purchase here).

CECAF Sketches 2

Here's another sketch from Saturday's CECAF session. These guys are "Educated Oscar and Abelard the Mule", my Barney Google and Spark Plug stand-ins. This one's also for sale, if that's your style of thing.

While I've got your attention (and in case you've got any cash burning a hole in your pocket), I've updated the comic art section of the store with a bunch of work-for hire stuff (mainly Doctor Who and Garfield). I'm never sure if there's much demand for my original (i.e. not work-for-hire) stuff, but let me know if you're crying out for anything that isn't a trademarked media colossus and I'll adjust the next update accordingly.

CECAF Sketches 1

So I went to the Crouch End Cartoon Art Festival yesterday and had a very enjoyable time. Big thanks to Sean Azzopardi for putting it on year after year; it's the kind of free-entry, community-outreach show we can never have too many of.

To pass the time, I drew some sketches. Here's the first. It's for sale in my web store (update: it's sold!) if anyone's interested; more to come over the next few days.

Crouch End Cartoon Art Festival

The world is depressing me so it's time for something lovely. To this end, may I encourage you to come along to the Crouch End Cartoon Art Festival this Saturday, where I'll be making a return to an area of London where I used to live very happily, many moons ago now. Who knows, it may be our last chance before those of us with non-British passports are all deported, so let's make the most of it before the world burns to the ground.

An Old Favourite

I do a couple of variations on this drawing at every show I go to, it seems – this one was from the recent Comica Comiket.

Over the Garden Wall

A variant cover for Boom Studios’ Over the Garden Wall title. It's a few months old now but I don’t think I posted it at the time.
