Portsmouth Sketch Roundup: IX

Back in 1991 or so, I drew a two-page strip for the dummy of an Fleetway anthology called Earthside 8. It never made it to the stands. My strip was called Mister Elephant Head, about a private-eye pachyderm. And here he is, 27 years on – a little thicker around the waist, perhaps, but still looking good.

Another Betty Boop. This one isn't as good as yesterday's – she looks a bit drunk.

Portsmouth Sketch Roundup: VII

This one was commissioned as a gift for someone's mum turning 75 years old.

Portsmouth Sketch Roundup: IV

Weird but fun: someone got me to draw in a Star Wars activity book – the gist being that you're supposed to finish the uncompleted drawings. This would have been even better if I'd actually seen any Star Wars movies in the last 30 years.

Portsmouth Sketch Roundup: I

I attended the Portsmouth Comic Con last weekend where I had a table with my son (whose two comics, Pinkbeard and The Bog, outsold mine by a healthy margin). I picked up some excellent comics there and met some talented people. I also drew some sketches. I'll be trickling these out over the coming days because that's how I roll; some new surprises mixed up with some old favourites.

First one is an old favourite. I should try this one blindfolded sometime and see how it comes out.
