The Presidential Pardon: A preview of Insurgent Episode 4
In the Federalist Papers Number 74, Alexander Hamilton made the argument for the President to have the power of the pardon. While these days it seems to be mostly a political tool, Hamilton’s original argument is of particular interest to me: that in a time of insurrection, the President should have the ability to unilaterally [...]

Meigs and Turville: Episode 3 preview
Just a quick preview from Episode 3, which is currently out with beta readers. This isn’t final, obviously, since we’ll be going through revisions and more editing, etc. But, anyway, here it is: =========== Turville’s mind was still outside, holding Rebecca, when he walked into the base camp. Burnt out. Exhausted. I quit.
A few weeks ago I wrote a blog entry about recognizing and avoiding burn out before it hits. Unfortunately I spoke way too soon. I’ve got a long-standing pattern in my life. Work work work work. I get hyper focused, get lots of interesting stuff done, then collapse in a depressed exhaustion which sometimes last [...]

Short blog entry today, because I want to send you over to Khalil’s interbloggy thingto read his sample chapter. If you’ve ever been into roleplaying, satire, Lord of the Rings or [...]
