GPUG Academy offering classroom training in Las Vegas this November

Did you know that the GPUG Academy is hosting live classroom events at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas just prior to GPUG Summit 2011? Have you seen the long list of GPUG Academy classes being offered this time around?!

This year's GPUG Summit 2011 will be the largest one ever, but the GPUG Academy is growing fast, too, and if you or your colleagues are behind on GP training or simply want to become proficient with a new module or tool, signing up for live classroom training is an excellent way to make the most out of your trip to Las Vegas this November. This year there are over 20 classroom events being offered, such as:

Introduction to Management Reporter (MR) – more & more users are looking to learn about FRx's successor and the GPUG Academy is ready to assist. Find out where MR is similar to FRx and more importantly, where it differs.

The Dynamics GP Smorgasbord - taught by yours truly, Bob McAdam, Mark's former colleague from a few years back. This class is aimed at newer users to help speed up their acclimation to Dynamics GP. We'll discuss & review lots of different areas in GP, not just one or two, so you'll be 'fully integrated' in no time!

Extend your trip to Las Vegas today (you deserve it, after all) by checking out these classes along with all the other Academy offerings at http://www.dynamiccommunities.com/Summit2011/GPUG/training.html and begin the process of getting you & your colleagues smarter on Microsoft Dynamics GP today!

Weekly Dynamic: Update User Date

In the past we've talked about what happens when GP is open after midnight. By default, a window opens asking if you want to change the date to tomorrow. You can turn that off with a Dex.ini switch:

SuppressDateChangeDialog=TRUE

This suppresses the date dialog but doesn't update the date. If you want to update the date silently instead you need the Update User Date utility, a free utility that is part of the Professional Service Tools Library from Microsoft.

Activating this tool will update the date silently after midnight. You do need to have SuppressDateChangeDialog=TRUE set in the Dex.ini file too.
