Weekly Dynamic: Excel import GL without Excel

Featured Post

GP 2013 R2 added a great feature allowing users to import from Excel to the GL in GP.  But you don’t have to have Excel. I did some work with someone who didn’t have Excel on their server so I saved the Excel source as a text file, opened the text file on the server and did a copy/paste from the text file. It worked great.

I can only assume that this will work with any other app that you can copy/paste from, text file, Google Docs, etc. As long as the items are in the right order it seems work just fine.
