Feeling Lucky?
A big welcome to the Lucky in Love Blog Hop and happy St Patrick's Day.
1st Grand Prize: A $100 Amazon or B&N Gift Card2nd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!
It's great that you're here and are you feeling lucky? Not just with the awesome prizes that are on offer but in the other department too, that's right, love...?
For many of us love comes along when we least expect it. Sometimes it's a bolt out of the blue, the connection of eyes across a crowded room or spotting the perfect denim clad butt strolling down the street! For others it grows slower, from friendship, getting to know the person first and then letting the love and lust bloom.
Whatever way it hits, you're definitely lucky to find love. Certainly that's the way I feel. I met my lovely Mr Harlem at work. I was nursing in a London hospital and he was a friend of a friend, we were introduced and then our paths kept crossing. It was like after we'd noticed each other there was a certain magnetism there.
After a while he asked me out for a drink. It was just the hospital social club but it worked for us, it was nice and relaxed and he was easy going. The next week we to see a film - I think it was one of the Lethal Weapon movies, not everso romantic but I had a thing for Mel Gibson at the time so it worked for me. Soon we'd got in the habit of spending more and more time together and I found myself looking forward to seeing him, it became the highlight of my week.
I did feel very lucky, because he seemed to feel the same way. Love had caught us in it's delicious trap and we we're happy to be captive.
Soon it worked out we had a week off together and he suggested a trip away to a sunny climate. Perfect to escape the grey drizzle that London had been swamped in. Needless to say we had a wonderful time, cocktails on the beach and long sultry nights. The perfect antidote to our high-paced jobs.
I don't think we were unusual to meet at work, that's how a lot of people get lucky. Certainly the nurse in my latest Harper Collins release gets incredibly lucky. Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse is all about her sexy dark corner antics. She really is incorrigible, but I adored using memories and incidents from my nursing days as I wrote this story. It was so much fun and certainly full of late night shenanigans.

I guess you could call me a jack-of-all-trades nurse. I find work satisfaction in whichever department the hospital needs me most, as long as it’s through the darkest hours. Needless to say I’ve seen it all over the years, been there and done that, what’s left to shock me isn’t worth knowing. But it’s so often the quieter nighttime where the real high jinx abound.
Yes, the nocturnal life is the one for me. With a weakness for sexy guys wearing white coats and dangling stethoscopes, my fantasies are often realised and I’m adept at finding relief from the hospital grind in shadowy corners and cozy linen cupboards.
Of course my dedication to patient comfort is paramount. What kind of nurse would I be if it wasn’t? But when one act of extreme, albeit highly inappropriate, kindness forced me to become the hospital director’s snitch, the length I went to in order to keep my job satisfied my desires and found me the love that had always evaded me. A love that made me push even my not-so-professional boundaries to the extreme.
Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse isn't my only book that sees couples getting together in the workplace. The hockey players in my Hot Ice series manage this too...
I'm going to give away a copy of Hired (ebook pdf) to one lucky winner who leaves a comment telling me which of my book covers is their favourite - check out the sidebar on the right. Don't forget to leave your email address in the comment box so I can send the prize if you win.

A Lip Smacking Story!

When I got an email from Kev Mitnik of Sexy Reads asking me if I’d like to write for a chocolate anthology I didn’t hesitate to say yes, even though my to-do list was as long as my arm. I couldn’t resist, a bit like the real thing if I’m honest, chocolate just talks to me, beckons me, orders me to bend to its will!
I’ll be truthful here though, I had to wait a while for inspiration to strike. I had a few ideas; chocolate fondue’s featured in the majority of them along with gorgeous naked men with eager tongues and plenty of marshmallows and strawberries. I won’t deny I was heading down that track, but then I watched an American award ceremony and was totally taken by something that was going on just off scene.

The A-lister actress – I’m not sure who she was – was swanning down the red carpet looking absolutely divine in a long scarlet dress, and in the background, watching her every move and looking as equally delectable, was a big guy in a black suit with an ear piece. Obviously her bodyguard.

The relationship between the two intrigued me. She glanced at him only once as she made her way into the posh hotel, or was it a theatre, and that was when someone jumped a barrier nearby. Regular security pushed the rogue fan away, no harm done and she smiled throughout the whole ordeal. But that split second of connection, that glance, spoke volumes. In it was trust, reassurance, a willingness to do as instructed all coated in this need to keep up appearances. She was fine, all was cool. She had her back up plan, her knight, her protector.
It was then that I got back to thinking of my chocolate story again. I wanted it to be a bit different, and rather than a tale about gorging on the lovely stuff, I thought how about just a nibble, just a tiny bit. Will it still have the same psychological impact? The same heavenly moment of YUM? I decided it would because it’s all about the person indulging, we’re all so different, and lets face it, none more so that the Hollywood starlet. And the pressure on her, to get into that dress, size 0, it must be phenomenal.
So that’s how Red Carpet Sweat was born. Hot young actress, gorgeous bodyguard willing to do anything for her, and a tiny but perfectly placed chocolate bar that releases sin and temptation. Phew - the temperature soon cranks up to melting point in that hotel room!
You can get your copy of Smut for Chocoholics here and indulge in many more tasty stories from a host of deliciously naughty authors.

Excerpt from Being Free by Lucy Felthouse
Violet slammed down the lid of her laptop with far more force than was necessary. She flinched, thinking perhaps she might have cracked the screen or broken one of the machine’s internal components. Then she shrugged, realising she didn’t care if she had. It was her work’s computer, after all, not hers. If it was fucked, they’d have to replace it. And it would serve them right, too. Bastards.
The reason she was pissed off was the fact she was in work at all. It was Saturday, and the previous afternoon her useless boss had dumped a project on her, stating it had to be finished by Monday, no matter how long it took. He’d then added that he was going away for the weekend, meaning it was all down to her. The selfish, disorganised wanker. It wouldn’t be so bad, but she hadn’t had a pay rise for two years, and when she went above and beyond for her job, she didn’t get so much as a thank you, let alone be paid any overtime. It wasn’t the first time something like this had happened, either.
Well, fuck them. She wasn’t going to be a doormat—or her boss’ scapegoat—any more. Let them try and sack her—she wasn’t doing anything remotely wrong, and they couldn’t make her working life any more hellish than it already was.
She stood up sharply, sending her swivel chair careening backwards across the room until it hit the wall. She shrugged again, she still didn’t care. Let it chip the fucking paintwork, or a bust a hole in the plasterboard. No one else was there, so nobody could prove or disprove that it had been an accident.
Pausing to switch the lights off—she was pissed off at her employers, not the environment—she left the offices, setting the alarm before closing the door behind her. Stuffing her access swipe card into her handbag, she heaved a sigh of relief. There would probably be hell to pay for her stunt on Monday, but she’d worry about that then. Right now, she was just desperate to get out. Into the countryside, or, given she was in central London, to a green space, at the very least.
From where she worked, Green Park was probably the closest, but she figured Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens were bigger, so she’d be more likely to find a secluded spot where she could just be by herself. The last thing she needed now was to have to deal with other people.

Sneak Peak and Sunday Snog

Welcome to Sneak Peak Sunday and Sunday Snog - the perfect way to whet your appetite and satisfy your craving all at the same time!

This weeks sexy moment comes from Cross-Checked, the second novel in my HOT ICE series. (Though it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone read.)

I'm feeling particuarly proud of Brick and Carly's story at the moment as it recently won Best Sports Romance of 2012 at Sizzling!

This snippet is taken from a third of the way into the book. Carly has gorgeous hockey star Brick exactly where she wants him - naked, hard and tied to a bed!
I stuck my hand in my bag and pulled out my new raspberry lipstick. Slowly I took off the lid, rolled it to full height and added an extra layer to my mouth “Does this color suit me?” I asked, rolling my lips in on each other.“Yeah,” he said, “it’s real sexy.”I bent and placed a kiss on his stomach. Just above his navel. It left a bright, glossy mark on his skin.“How’s that?” I asked.“A bit lower would be really good.” His mouth tipped into a smile.

You can find out more about HOT ICE on my website and grab yourself a copy of Cross-Checked from all good ebook retailers, including Amazon, Are and Ellora's Cave
Have a great Sunday :-)

Saturday Spanking - Naughty Nurses #SaturdaySpanking

Welcome spank peddlars to another Saturday Spankings! This week I'm giving you a few lines from my latest release at Mischief Harper Collins - Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse. This sexy spanking moment is taken from a voyeur scene about a quarter of the way into the book. Carl - a cute-as-a-button junior doctor - has taken Nurse Sharon to secretly watch some naughty slap and tickle the senior consultant and the head theatre nurse are enjoying in the dead of the night. And you've guessed it, right in in the operating theatre they've been working in all day. How deliciously naughty is that!

I clenched my thigh muscles. There was no denying the fact that I was getting turned-on watching their little show. There was a heat building in my pelvis and my clit was swelling, buzzing with a rush of blood. I glanced at Carl. He was staring through the window, wide-eyed, lips parted. I wished I could see if he had a hard-on. I’d bet my last pound that he did. What guy wouldn’t get stiff seeing a hot nurse spanked and fingered? Swallowing tightly and pressing the tops of my legs together, I returned my attention to the theatre.

Lakeland Heatwave Book 3: Elemental Fire by K D Grace
Please welcome my lovely friend KD Grace to my blog today. She's sharing all the details of her steamy new book Elemental Fire, the third book in her Lakeland Heatwave series - enjoy!
Obsessed with revenge, KENNET LUCIAN makes a deal with a demon, a deal he comes to regret when he meets TARA STONE, head of the Elemental Coven, and a powerful witch with a desire for revenge at least as great as his. Even though the attraction between the two is magnetic and the lust combustive, Kennet must betray her to accomplish his goal, which is ultimately her goal as well; to put a final end to the demon, Deacon’s, reign of terror. But can Tara trust the man who has wormed his way into her heart and the heart of the Elemental Coven? Can she trust LUCIA, the demon with whom Kennet is allied, a demon with her own agenda. The path to Deacon’s destruction is far from clear, and the price that must be paid to be free of him forever may be too high, even for Tara Stone.

Excerpt:
The demon, Lucia, studied Kennet for what might have been ages, and he felt as though the pressure of her scrutiny would crush him.‘I have never worn man flesh.’ She nodded down to his penis. He blushed and surged and blushed again. His heart raced. ‘Does it make a difference?’She shrugged, still studying his cock as though she’d never seen one before. ‘Not really. Flesh is flesh.’ On a whim, she reached out and stroked his erection, and he gasped as the touch of her shivered up his spine and blossomed bright inside his head. She continued to touch him, but her eyes were now locked on his face, and he tried desperately not to thrust against her. ‘I am only touching your cock, Kennet Birch, and it is all you can do to keep from spilling your seed at my feet.’‘That is the most sensitive part,’ he breathed. ‘Of a man, I mean.’She moved closer and ran a splayed hand up over his ribs. And he did spill his seed with a desperate gasp as though he could never get enough oxygen again. And he was embarrassed and terrified and angry, and it was as though the whole range of emotions exploded in his head in an instant. Then she leaned in and brushed her lips against his, and for a split second the world flashed before his eyes more vivid, more perfect, more complete than he had ever seen it before. He knew things, he saw things, he felt things, things beyond him. And he would have dropped again to his knees, but he couldn’t, not held in her gaze as he was. ‘I have barely touched you and you are overwhelmed, Kennet Birch. Do you really think you can survive my possession of you?’He forced himself to hold her gaze, trembling suddenly as though he were in the grips of some powerful illness. All of him ached, and he knew the real world was bleeding through. There was very little time. ‘I won’t survive if you don’t possess me. My coming to you has guaranteed that.’ He wrapped his arms around himself as the shakes became more violent. ‘You said it yourself, I have nothing to lose.’‘And why would I want a sick and broken male body?’ She asked. Her eyes blazed in the dance of firelight that always seemed so close to her. ‘If you possess me, you can heal me,’ he said. ‘And anyway, if you possess me and I die, well it really doesn’t matter at this point.’For an eternal moment she studied him. She studied him until he looked away. His head was fuzzy, his body ached even in the dream world. He couldn’t hold much longer. She lifted his chin once again so that he met her gaze, and the shakes stopped. The pain went away. He felt his head clear. ‘If I do what you ask of me, even though you live, your life is forfeit. You know this?’‘I know,’ he breathed. ‘It doesn’t matter. ‘You say that now in your hour of need. But when that passes, when you are whole and stronger and healthier than you have ever dreamed possible, when your heart heals and you learn to love again, you won’t be so anxious to let go of what is rightfully mine when the time comes.’He suddenly felt more pain than he knew existed in the whole world, and none of it was physical. He inhaled breath that felt like shards of stone. ‘I’ll never know love again. I’ll never know life again, so there’s really nothing you can take from me that isn’t already long gone.’Her gaze softened, and somehow he found that infinitely comforting. Then she moved closer and kissed him, slowly, languidly, as though they had all the time in the world, and his cock was hard again. She stepped back from him. One shrug and the robe of fire fell away, and the glow of her body flashed bright, then dimmed and steadied until he could see details, erect nipples atop high breasts, rounded hips, a golden splash of curls at the juncture of her thighs. ‘I am not like him,’ she said softly. ‘It gives me no pleasure to make those who dwell in the flesh my puppets. You will be, how is it you put it these days, you will be in the driver’s seat.’ She took him into her arms and kissed him hard, and when he feared he would disgrace himself again with his cock pressed up tight against the top of her belly, she pulled away. ‘However,’ she said. ‘If I grant your request, then I will possess you. All of you. You will belong to me, your life will mine.’ She gaze was painfully bright. ‘And if you earnestly wish to be rid of Deacon, then you will do as I say for as long as it takes us to accomplish our task, and it will take time. I know him. You don’t. I’m his equal. You’re not. And one more very important thing, Kennet Birch.’ She stroked his hair gently and whispered against his lips. ‘Never, never forget how badly I can hurt you if you defy me.’ Then she guided his hand down over her pubic curls. ‘If my terms are not acceptable to you, then you must return to your body and face your fate.’Boldly, brazenly, he slid a finger down low and circled her clit, and her eyes fluttered. ‘If it weren’t acceptable to me, I wouldn’t be here,’ he answered. She took his hand and guided him back to a chair that appeared from out of nowhere. It looked like a golden throne with no arms. What? Was he to petition her? He didn’t understand. But it was no throne at all. She pushed him down on it and stood before him caressing her breasts until her nipples were stiff and swollen. Then she raised one perfect leg and set her elegant Botticelli foot on his thigh, affording him a view of her wet and fiery depths. ‘I do not enter through your breath, Kennet Birch,’ she said. ‘As sex is your magic, so is it mine. You will go in through me, inside out. And your hunger for me will pull me into you when your libido surges brightest.’And he was sohungry for her. She filled his head and his body with an aching want that even if he were not a practitioner of sex magic, he would understand was not mundane. And in his case, the fear that he would die if he didn’t have her here and now was a very real one. That he might die even if he did, that her possession might be too much for him, well that was a risk he was more than willing to take. ‘Are you certain this is what you want, Kennet Birch?’ she asked him as she moved onto his lap, positioning herself, opening her sex with her fingers.‘I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.’ Even as he said it, he realized how silly that sounded, since either way his life as he’d known it was over.‘Very well then.’ She settled to the point of contact, to the point at which he could just feel the head of his penis against the resistance of her opening. He reached for her breasts, and with the hand not busy between her legs, she cradled his head and drew him near so he could nurse. The electrical shock through his body caused him to jump and jerk, and at that very instant she settled onto him, sheathing him tightly, deeply, and he knew he was dying. This was the point of no return. It was as though the tight wet pull of her swallowed him whole. Then she cupped his chin and held his face again so he couldn’t look away from her shining eyes. Her voice was like warm honey, thick and sweet, and he felt the sound of it in his very marrow, in his very soul. ‘You are mine, Kennet Birch. No longer are you your own. I possess you, body, soul and life force. Even in name you are now mine, Kennet Lucian. You are mine until I have no further use for you, until I have used you up.’ She gripped him hard and he exploded inside her and the world blew a part into tiny particles and disappeared like flecks of dust in the darkness. ****‘Bloody Hell! Dr Allen! Doctor Allen! Get over here. Now!’Kennet inhaled delicious, abundant air as though he’d just remembered how to breathe. Then he fought his way up from under an unruly sheet to sit up on the bed. A woman and a man in hospital scrubs stood either side of him, holding him, and there was chaos and someone was yelling. It took him a second to register that it was him yelling over and over again, ‘Where the hell am I? Where the hell am I?’ And then the bright lights, the gurney with a body shrouded in a sheet next to him all came into focus. ‘Jesus! What the fuck am I doing in the morgue?’The woman in scrubs standing next to him looked pale and her hands were unsteady. ‘Mr. Birch,’ she said, doing her best to stay calm. ‘You were pronounced dead almost fifteen minutes ago.’

Mixing Memories with Inspiration
The All Romance Ebook Cafe invited me over for coffee and a chat. The subject was how memories played a part in my book Confessions of a Naughty Night Nurse.

5* for The Glass Knot
My menage novel The Glass Knot has just received another 5* review on Amazon.com.
I'm so thrilled with how this book grabs readers, it really does make all the hours and hours of writing worth it when people take the time to leave such lovely words.
5.0 out of 5 stars Loved, loved, loved itMarch 5, 2013

This is the best menage book I have read, The sex is hot but does not drive the story, the characters do. The characters have depth and real feelings and display emotions that are not always neat and tidy. The plot is driven by very real conflicts and fears rather than simply moving between one sex scene and another. A keeper. I have already re-read several times.

Smut for Chocoholics coming soon!

I'm so excited to have my story, Red Carpet Sweat , included in an upcoming anthology about...wait for it... chocolate!
Kevin Mitnik has put together this anthology, and I can't wait to read the other stories in it! Mine is about a super-thin, size 0 Hollywood A-lister who panics just before she goes onto the red carpet at the Oscars about the two hundred calorie chocolate bar she's just munched. Luckily though, her very obedient and sinfully hunky bodyguard is up for helping her burn a few calories before she has to squeeze into her dress - and no, he doesn't take her for a jog around the block! It's much more fun than that!
Due out soon Smut for Chocoholics is all about indulgence. Taking wicked delight in the erotic consumption and use of chocolate, with tales from some of erotica’s finest authors. Whatever your relationship with the seductive cocoa, there’s something nestling between the covers for you.
More information coming soon...
