May I introduce: Lindsay Downs "The Masked Lady and The Murder"

The Masked Lady and The Murder
by Lindsay Downs

What a great day to welcome my very good friend Lindsay as a guest today. I've known Lindsay for a few years now and he's been such a great support through good and bad times, I'm really glad and can give back a little by introducing you all to his new book.

PS - He's also introduced me to a wonderful group of authors writing to a prompt each week and one of my (nowadays) favourite song - Rascal Flatts "Unstoppable"!

1 - You've changed from w...

Snippet Sunday - My WIP "Auf Wiederseh'n" 02/03/2014

Welcome to Snippet Sunday ! The story so far is, Sadie, born and raised in Australia, found her grandma's diary after her mother's passing. Intrigued by the diary and her mother's German background, she's on her way to Germany to meet her family over there.

I step out of the plane and walk through an eerie tube-looking gate. Initially, I’m a bit overwhelmed by what’s in front of me and all I can think of is: this is Singapore. I take in the details a...

May I introduce: Lisa Orchard "The Super Spies and the High School Bomber"

The Super Spies and the High School BomberBy Lisa Orchard   What a delight to have one of my daughter's favourite author as a guest on my blog this week. I often have to listen to "Mum, have you asked her when the next book's coming out?"

1 - The Super Spies series are very successful. When can we expect book #4?
I’m going to start book #4 as soon as I finish my Coming of Age Young Adult Novel that I’m working on. I’ve finished it and I’m in the e...

May I introduce: J.F. Jenkins "The Dark Hour"

The Dark Hour By J.F. Jenkins

What or who inspires you when you think of a new story?I tend to think of my inspiration as divine inspiration. I get it at night, usually when I sleep, and I believe firmly it is a gift from God because my dreams are just too interesting to be something my brain makes up on its own. Then I start to put pieces together over time, and eventually start writing and putting out the story.
Do you have a favourite author?
 I have a few author...

After a while I just give up. The “human traffic” has stopped, but dinner (or is it lunch time?) is about to be served.  I make an effort and re-read Grandma’s next diary entry. She must’ve h...
