Internal Emails Reveal Merck’s Negligence in Gardasil Safety Testing
By Maryanne Demasi
A landmark lawsuit against Merck is underway in a Los Angeles courtroom, marking the company’s first jury trial over claims it misrepresented the safety of its highly profitable Gardasil HPV vaccine.
Newly declassified documents in the trial have revealed troubling details about Merck’s failure to conduct key safety tests.
Internal emails reveal that Merck knew its Gardasil vaccine was contaminated with HPV DNA fragments from the vaccine’s manufacturing process and lobbied regulators to bypass testing requirements.
Uncovering Residual DNA ContaminationConcerns over Gardasil’s residual DNA contamination have persisted for over a decade.
In 2011, Dr. Sin Hang Lee, a pathologist with extensive experience in DNA analysis, discovered high levels of HPV DNA fragments in 16 Gardasil vials from several countries, including the US, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Poland, and France. See previous story.
These DNA fragments, originating from the plasmid DNA used in vaccine production to code for the HPV virus’ L1 protein, are supposed to be removed during manufacturing.
Instead, high levels of HPV DNA fragments remain in the final product and tightly bind to the aluminium adjuvant (AAHS). Unlike free DNA molecules in solution, the aluminium-bound HPV DNA is stabilised and resists breakdown by enzymes.
Once injected, these aggregates are absorbed by immune cells and activate Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9), triggering pro-inflammatory responses.
According to Dr Lee, for some individuals, particularly those with genetic predispositions, this can lead to autoimmune conditions such as Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) or, in rare cases, sudden death.
Notably, Gardasil’s package inserts make no mention of the presence of HPV DNA or its potential to trigger immune responses.
Internal Emails Reveal Negligence and Cover-UpDr. Lee is set to testify in the lawsuit, and his witness statement provides key evidence suggesting Merck was aware of the issue of HPV DNA contamination but failed to act.
Following Dr. Lee’s findings in 2011, Merck was asked by the Swiss drug regulator, Swissmedic, to provide data on HPV DNA levels in Gardasil.
In response, Merck’s Chief Medical Officer, Carlos Sattler, made a revealing admission to his colleagues in an internal email. On Sept 8, 2011, Sattler admitted, “We did not specifically look for the HPV L1 plasmid DNA.”
Despite this, Sattler downplayed the significance of the contamination, stating that Merck had “no plans” to conduct any testing and that, even if small amounts were present, there was “no evidence that this would be associated with any risk.”

The next day, Merck scientist Annie Sturgess confirmed, “We have not directly measured HPV DNA” in the vaccine.

Merck attempted to satisfy Swissmedic by estimating the level of HPV DNA using “yeast DNA” content as a proxy, but the regulator rejected this approach.
Dr Thomas Hottiger of Swissmedic warned Merck that its method was “not entirely fit for purpose” and explained that the company would need to use a PCR test specific for detecting HPV plasmid DNA, which behaves differently from yeast DNA.

Merck’s North American representative, Dave Wohlpart, expressed reluctance to perform such testing and proposed to his colleagues that Merck “not do testing” altogether.

On October 21, 2011, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made a public announcement claiming that Merck had actually known that “small quantities of residual recombinant HPV L1-specific DNA fragments remain in the vaccine.”
This disclosure came as a surprise to Merck.
Frank Vandendriessche, Merck’s Director of Regulatory Affairs in Europe, reacted to the FDA’s announcement, writing in an email that the company had “never tested specifically for HPV L1 DNA fragments.”

Merck used the situation to its advantage to suggest it was now a moot point. Armed with the FDA’s announcement, Merck lobbied Swissmedic to withdraw its request for new data.
Swissmedic obliged, granting a waiver for specific HPV DNA testing. Instead, Merck was instructed to make a minor change to the product’s label—effectively burying the issue.

Gardasil was approved and distributed globally without proper testing for HPV L1 DNA contamination. Instead of enforcing rigorous safety standards, regulators allowed Merck’s flawed testing procedures to pass unchecked.
Even when evidence of contamination surfaced, regulators largely overlooked it, revealing a pattern of negligence and wilful blindness.
Their reluctance to demand accountability suggests either regulatory capture or gross incompetence—both of which have devastating consequences for the millions who have received the vaccine.

Crimes Against Humanity: Serbia’s Lawsuit Against NATO. More Than 15 Tons of Uranium Bombs Dropped on Yugoslavia in 1999
In 2022, Srdjan Aleksic, a lawyer from Nis, Serbia began a legal process against NATO. Since 2017 (when the gathering of evidence began) until this day over four thousand citizens of Serbia (including Kosovo and Metohija) have shown interest in suing NATO due to their own cancer diagnoses and diagnoses of their family members that they believe have a direct connection to the bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 where depleted uranium ammunition was used.
NATO has already confessed that they have dropped over 15 ton of uranium over Kosovo and Metohija and the southern parts of Serbia such as Presevo, Bujanovac and Vranje.
As a result of these bombings, over thirty thousand people every year in Serbia is diagnosed with cancer, this in a country that before the bombings in 1999 had less than seven thousand citizens diagnosed with cancer every year. Serbia is now the country in Europe that has the largest number of cancer diagnoses and the second in the world.
Andjelo Fiore Tartalja a lawyer from Italy is a part of Srdjan Aleksic legal team and is advising him in regard to the lawsuits filed against NATO on the behalf of Serbian citizens.
Tartalja has won over 350 cases in Italy where he has proven that Italian soldiers and officers in peacekeeping forces that were stationed in Kosovo and Metohija (after the bombings), where the largest amount of uranium bombs were thrown, have been diagnosed with cancer and many of which have died as a direct consequence of the uranium in NATO’s bombs. In their blood analysis 500 times more metal was found than normal. Over seven thousand Italian soldiers and officers have been diagnosed with cancer after their service in Kosovo and Metohija and 400 have passed away. It is also important to stress the fact that not only in Serbia has there been a huge increase in cancer diagnoses but also in neighbouring countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is believed that the particles from uranium bombs expand extensively after hitting their target (depending on a number of factors) and that it takes over 4.5 billion years for uranium to decay and that it stays in the soil for thousands of years and perhaps even longer. So not only is NATO responsible for “crimes against humanity” when using these bombs and leaving behind residual mines, they have committed the crime of Ecocide, where they have damaged and destructed Serbia’s ecosystem and biodiversity. Although this has not yet been recognized as a crime under international law, it is being contemplated so both humans, corporations and armies can be held accountable for the crimes of harmful pollution.
Srdjan Aleksic and his team of lawyers have so far collected the medical documentation and power of attorney documentation of 1.500 citizens and 35 cases have been field in the higher court in Belgrade. Every month they file 10 new cases and will continue to do so. In the cases where the plaintiff is deceased, family members have forwarded the medical documentation and will continue the procedure on their behalf, and even these cases will be field in the higher court in Belgrade.
Srdjan Aleksic and his team of lawyers are not interested in economic gain and are not charging their clients for their legal work since most of the plaintiffs are from the southern parts of Serbia that are extremely poor and have already sold almost everything they possess only to be treated for their cancer. It is believed that more plaintiff`s would sue NATO but the taxes just to begin the legal process in Serbia are 350 Euro and most people in the southern parts of Serbia do not have the means to pay these taxes. Srdjan Aleksic also has a personal agenda since his mother and many of his family members from his village near Bujanovac died of cancer after the NATO bombings.
Due to the increase of cancer diagnoses in Bosnia and Hercegovina after the NATO bombings in 1995 many citizens are contemplating suing NATO believing that the uranium used then as well is the cause of their cancer diagnoses. They are currently waiting to see the outcome of the trials in Serbia before they begin their legal procedures.
NATO has replied, stating that they have immunity and that they do not have to answer to the higher court in Belgrade because of the Transit Agreement signed in 2005 between Serbia and NATO and Serbia joining the Partnership for Peace in 2006.
The Transit Agreement and Partnership for Peace have no connection to the legal cases mentioned in this article, the Transit Agreement is simply an agreement that allows allied forces serving as part of KFOR to pass through Serbian territory. The Partnership of Peace is Serbia cooperating with NATO and the Tribunal in Hague. Srdjan Aleksic says that immunity cannot be implemented retroactively since the bombings took place in 1999 and the agreements were signed six years later. The trials have been postponed due to the death of Colonel Dragan Stojcic (served 280 days at the border between Kosovo and Serbia and in Kosovo) that passed away due to his cancer. He was the first plaintiff to sue NATO. His wife will continue his procedure in court.

Burgess ‘Likely’ Trump’s Pick to Lead CDC, But Ladapo Still in the Mix, Sources Say

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and former Texas Republican Congressman Michael Burgess have emerged as potential nominees to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CBS News reported.
The White House last week withdrew President Donald Trump’s previous nominee, Dr. Dave Weldon, shortly before his U.S. Senate confirmation meeting.
CBS News cited unnamed administration officials, who said they are trying to “get it right” with their next nominee. The news outlet said the Trump administration is “seeking to address concerns about a prolonged vacancy at the agency or the prospect of another embarrassing about-face.”
Ladapo and Burgess have support from “some of President Trump’s allies.”
Other potential nominees have declined offers, CBS News reported.
Drug safety advocate Kim Witczak, a member of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee, said both potential nominees “represent bold departures from the status quo, but for very different reasons.”
Witczak said:
“Ladapo has been outspoken in challenging prevailing public health narratives, especially around COVID-19, and would likely bring a disruptive, but much-needed shake-up to an institution in desperate need of reform. He also knows how to navigate political landmines.
“Burgess, a physician and former Congressman, brings extensive policy experience, but his long tenure in Washington may not signal the kind of transformational change many are hoping for.”
The eventual nominee will likely face questions from Senators about the rise in measles cases, the bird flu outbreak and their stance on vaccines.
This will be the first time a nominee to lead the CDC will undergo a Senate confirmation process — the result of a 2022 Congressional amendment.
Meanwhile, Susan Monarez, Ph.D., previously deputy director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, is serving as acting director of the agency.

Burgess shifted away from past support for COVID vaccines
Reuters, citing an unnamed source “familiar with the matter,” reported that Burgess is the “likely nominee” for the nomination to lead the CDC, adding that a final decision has not yet been made.
Reuters also reported that the CDC rescheduled for April 15-16 a meeting of its vaccine advisory panel. The agency postponed the meeting last month.
Burgess is a former obstetrician and gynecologist who in January retired from Congress after 22 years. He led the U.S. House of Representatives doctors’ caucus for several years until his retirement.
Reuters reported that Burgess initially supported COVID-19 vaccines, telling Congress during the pandemic that the vaccines are “safe and effective tools that have been proven to protect Americans from preventable, life-threatening diseases.” He also spoke about the need to confront “vaccine hesitancy.”
Burgess later shifted his position. In a March 2022 tweet, he expressed support for a Congressional resolution to end the CDC’s mask mandate for public transportation, saying that “Americans are tired of nonsense policies.”
In a January 2023 tweet, Burgess criticized the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers, calling it an “egregious overstep.” He has also expressed support for the U.S. withdrawal from the World Health Organization.
At a 2023 Congressional hearing, Burgess said, “We all share the goal of rebuilding the faith and trust in the CDC, because I think most of us recognize we need a well-functioning and respected CDC in order to protect the American people.”
Ladapo called for end to mRNA COVID shots, water fluoridation
Ladapo, Florida’s surgeon general since 2021, “has drawn controversy on a number of issues,” including his stance on COVID-19 vaccines, CBS News reported.
In 2022, Ladapo recommended against the administration of COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children, making Florida the first state to break with official CDC guidance.
The next year, he called on federal public health officials to “publicly” explain 12 key issues related to the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
Last year, Ladapo called for a halt in the administration of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, stating that the FDA and CDC did not adequately respond to his letter with questions about the issue.
Earlier this month, he supported Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ call for the CDC to stop recommending the COVID-19 vaccine for children.
Ladapo has also questioned establishment guidance on water fluoridation. In November 2024, he advised local governmental authorities across Florida to stop fluoridating their water supply, citing the neuropsychiatric risks associated with the practice. Ladapo repeated these calls earlier this month.
According to CBS News, Ladapo’s positions mean his confirmation prospects “could be steep.” But his positions have also earned him “some prominent supporters” — including DeSantis.
In a statement to CBS News, Weldon expressed his support for Ladapo:
“I thoroughly support Dr. Ladapo for CDC director. He should be at the top of President Trump’s list. He has done a great job for us here in Florida and his education and experience make him the perfect choice.
“Whoever they pick, to get past [Republican Sen. Bill] Cassidy, it’s best if they have never said anything remotely critical of the childhood vaccine program. Though 90% of parents are refusing COVID shots for their kids, 50% are refusing the flu shot, and 10% are refusing the measles.”
Cassidy previously wavered in his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) — which oversees federal public health agencies, including the CDC and FDA.
Cassidy ultimately supported Kennedy’s nomination after he said Kennedy committed to meet or speak with him multiple times monthly, and to include Cassidy in the HHS hiring process.
Weldon suggested that Cassidy’s opposition contributed to the White House withdrawing his nomination, CBS News reported. But one former congressman has suggested that a pathway still exists for Weldon to be named CDC director.
In a statement released Thursday, Hon. Dan Burton, former chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, called for the recess appointment of Weldon to lead the CDC. Burton cited Weldon’s willingness to hear a “balanced perspective” on vaccines, as a key reason why Weldon should be appointed.
The U.S. Constitution allows the president to unilaterally appoint a candidate to a federal position while Congress is in recess. The appointee can remain in the position until the end of the following Senate session.
‘The days of ‘trust us, we’re the experts’ are over’
An HHS spokesperson on Thursday confirmed for Reuters that the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee’s previously postponed meeting has been rescheduled for April 15-16.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, or ACIP, helps set the vaccination schedule for children and adults and issues recommendations to the CDC regarding vaccine approval.
According to HHS, the meeting was postponed to accommodate public comment. The rescheduled meeting will include an update on the measles outbreak.
According to Endpoints News, the draft agenda of the postponed meeting included a review of new COVID-19, flu, RSV and meningitis vaccines and the hospitalization of five people who received Valneva’s chikungunya vaccine.
Endpoints reported that it remains unclear if the agenda for the meeting will change, although unnamed sources said the meeting might be shortened and some agenda items might be cut.
Witczak called for transparency regarding the topics ACIP will discuss next month. She said:
“When public confidence in health institutions is at an all-time low, reducing transparency and limiting dialogue can send the wrong message. What’s being cut, and why? The public deserves to know. It raises red flags about what’s being deprioritized and a shortened meeting could undermine meaningful deliberation.”
Witczak called ACIP’s “lack of independence” its “most glaring deficiency.”
“Time and again, ACIP has served as a backdoor endorsement panel for vaccine products, rather than a critical oversight body. Conflicts of interest, fast-tracked approvals, groupthink and the absence of long-term safety data have severely undermined its credibility.”
She added:
“For too long, regulatory and advisory bodies have been captured by the very industries they are supposed to oversee. Leadership at the CDC and by extension, ACIP, must reflect a renewed commitment to public trust, transparency and safety. The days of ‘trust us, we’re the experts’ are over.”

President Trump’s New York
Dr Naomi Wolfe
In January of 2025, President Trump took office. The week of January 13-20, Brooklyn was still in chaos. So was Manhattan. It was a chaos I have sought to describe in past essays, but things had reached a crescendo.
All of the world, it seemed, had descended upon the Five Boroughs.
From the floodgates that opened in 2022, and right up until Inauguration Day, Brooklyn and Manhattan had been under siege. I had never seen anything like it.
Due to the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of illegal newcomers, with thousands more arriving every day, the city had been transformed. There was no coherent culture, social contract, understanding of how one gets through a day. It was a circus of confusion, entitlement, aggression and chaos, all of it performed upside-down.
These millions had been ‘magicked’ to this city, then housed, cosseted, clothed and fed, on the dime of the Biden administration (meaning: on our taxpayer dime) and with the funding of the United Nations.
Manhattan and Brooklyn had been thronged with strangers – -people who were not the usual newcomers to the city who arrive legally, have family or business here, and then set about soberly to learn the language, seek out a job, pay taxes, raise kids, and settle into an American life. Legal immigrants in the past have been self-selected; they have thought for a long time about immigrating to America, taken steps to do so under the law, planned and prepared. They have been self-selected in the past, too, because it is their own drive or initiative, without external assistance, that led them to make it lawfully to our shores.
In contrast – and this is not a racist or even ethnocentric observation; it is about people differently situated, differently motivated — the millions abruptly, unlawfully streamed among us, were indeed deeply, truly strangers. Unlike earlier waves of legal immigrants, these folks were not self-selecting, self-propelled, or self-assisted in their journeys. They were people who seemed to have been scooped out of whole villages far elsewhere; people who had been doing other things entirely, making other plans altogether; and who then had been simply lifted up into space, transported, transplanted. They were indeed hoisted up out of other lives, other communities, other sensibilities, virtually other timelines, and transported hither, via the immensely powerful assistance of some of the most massive forces on earth.
Given the massive apparatus built up on three staging nations in order thus to transport this tide of humanity – that is to say, the immense powers and the millions of dollars deployed by the US State Department and by the UN, which I chronicled in my essay “What is a Culture?” — this sense of chaos and alienation that engulfed the city was not surprising.
Their arrival created an immense cultural strain. According to “City & State: New York”:
“More than 210,000 migrants have arrived in New York City since the spring of 2022, many hailing from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, though a significant number have also come from China and countries in Africa. City officials, advocacy groups, school communities, nonprofits and a bevy of elected officials have mobilized to welcome the ongoing flow of new arrivals, but it’s been a massive – and costly – undertaking.
[…]
By August of 2023, the grift was out of control: Mayor Adams expected to spend “$12 billion to house and care for migrant arrivals” for the upcoming three years . . .
[…]
Events of 2024 were as unbelievable, when it came to the Biden administration’s policies that simply opened doors to millions of illegal newcomers, then paid for their every need:
“June 28, 2024: Biden extends Temporary Protected Status to around 300,000 Haitians living in the U.S.
July 2, 2024: The city expands a pilot program to over 7,300 migrant families staying in city-funded hotels, pledging to give them debit cards to buy their own food.”
[…]
The perception that Americans were starting to have by that time — that these numbers represented “an invasion” and that illegal newcomers were being given debit cards, free housing, free medical care and other benefits unavailable to American citizens — was true.
After Election Day, the about-face in policies in New York related to illegal immigrants, was also dramatic:
“Nov. 7, 2024: The city moves to end the controversial program that provided debit cards to migrant families so they could buy food and other essentials. […]
Dec. 4, 2024: News breaks that the city is racing to remove National Guard members from migrant shelters ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Dec. 10, 2024: The city announces plans to shut down at least two dozen migrant shelters across the city and upstate by the end of March, including the sweeping family shelter at Floyd Bennett Field. The latter, which is on federal land, is expected to close by Jan. 15 – a few days before Trump’s inauguration.
Dec. 12, 2024: After meeting with Trump’s incoming “border czar” in early December, Adams told reporters that he and Tom Homan are on the same page. “We’re going to protect the rights of immigrants in this city that are hard-working, giving back to the city in a real way,” Adams said. “We’re not going to be a safe haven for those who commit repeated, violent crimes against innocent migrants, immigrants and long standing New Yorkers.”
We will look back on 2022-2024 with astonishment. President Trump has referred to the 30 million illegal entrants to our nation as an “invasion”, and he is right to do so. It is clear now, not just in the United States and Canada, but throughout Western Europe, that “Mr Global” has weaponized immigration to destroy existing cultures, and make war on sovereign nations — a cynical enough misuse of the bodies of millions of people; people who are often without options, to start with.
This was a marginalized, “right-wing” view a year ago, but it is now a common perception throughout the West and across political perspectives. There is no escaping this conclusion.
By transplanting hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people, from nations that are themselves broken in many ways, to the heart of Manhattan and Brooklyn, the Biden administration created an atmosphere of chaos, incomprehension and fear.
[…]
I could go on and on. The bottom line is that it is not racist or even ethnocentric, to object passionately to the “invasion” of the United States, or any Western country (or any country), by illegal immigrants. When you import people in large groups, you also import their cultures. We need to face the fact that the freedom, rule of law, relative peaceableness, and high level of civil society functioning, of Western nations, is an incredible achievement and an incredible gift. When you import millions of people who are not acculturated to these norms and rules, you also will import the reflexes and expectations of those who live in failed states, or under corrupt rulers, tyrannical or unequal laws, and oppressive theocracies. You simply cannot sustain the high level of functioning civil society, the peaceableness, rule of law, legal equality, etc, that characterize the West, under these conditions. And we need to stop being shy about saying so aloud.
You saw this in New York and Brooklyn by the end of 2024. Central American women and even small children, as I have described elsewhere, were being freely trafficked in the city’s subway system; women who spoke no English were forced, it appeared, to sell candy and beg for money all day long in subways, with unconscious or drugged babies strapped to their backs. Teenagers, working during school hours, had to man carts selling fruit and ices . . .
[…]
In city parks, couples who were recent arrivals, laughed as their children did things that are considered impolite or inappropriate here, such as engaging in overt sexualized play. A lot of weird public sexuality took hold of the city, as there were no longer shared cultural mores. I witnessed at least one single man masturbating while stretched out on a park bench, looking at porn on his phone, quite oblivious to passers-by, including children. I had the misfortune of taking a cab with a recently arrived driver who was watching porn on his phone as he drove. Someone else posted a video of an immigrant couple apparently having intercourse while zipped up into a sleeping bag, in full daylight in Prospect Park.
[…]
Taking the subways had become terrifying. People shouted on subway cars, or fought with one another. A lot of men with Central American gang tattoos appeared. Aggression and violence seemed just below the surface. That wry New York City chit chat, that pleasant or whimsical interaction with the stranger, was gone, seemingly for good. We all sat, on our journeys, in tense apprehension, closed in on ourselves. No one gestured to anyone to go first; opening doors for one another was a memory of the past.
[…]
Then — Inauguration Day came.
On January 21, 2025, I took a flight to Toronto. On the subway that day, I noticed that things were very quiet. On my flight to Canada, almost the entire flight consisted of recent arrivals to America; they were mostly Haitian, Central American, and, for some reason, the flight included many Sikhs. These people had immense loads of luggage with them. It seemed as if they had given up and were leaving the United States. My intuition was confirmed when I saw most of them waiting to be processed at Immigration in Canada. Having fled the US, almost the entire planeload of people was intending to stay over the border, where regulations against at-will immigration, seemed almost non-existent.
The emotion on the flight, though, was not one of outrage or despair. While this is just a gut feeling, I felt that the energy among these people fleeing President Trump and ICE — for that was what was happening — was oddly calm and accepting, even resolute. It was a feeling of, “Well, we got caught. Fair enough.”
The Canadian officials processing the newcomers, looked as pained as our Border Patrol had done, back in the bad old days of the Biden administration. The officials asked the arrivals if they knew anyone in Toronto or had any means of support, and when little evidence to that effect was forthcoming, they bitterly enough had to just wave them onward to sign up for Canadian benefits and take up their residency in the country.
Please fast forward. It is now only March. There have been dramatic crackdowns against illegal immigration across the United States. President Trump has revoked legal status for 530,000 entrants into the country. Members of Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan gang, were dramatically deported to a violent prison, the transfer of humans complete with images of chains and shaved heads. Thousands of agents have been directed to assist with this crackdown on illegal immigration — meaning, that agents are being allowed at last to do their jobs.
What is amazing is how New York City feels now. You look around and it is so much less…crowded. Many people across the country are noticing that malls during the day now are almost empty; parks and subways, are so much less full. People are vertiginously realizing how many, how very many, people in America were in fact here illegally. And Americans are processing how much money, taxpayer money, went into giving these millions of strangers, benefits that we ourselves never had.
It is hard to describe in detail, but the social contract in New York feel as if it is back. We are almost all, of whatever race, ethnicity or country of national origin, Americans again, or lawfully visiting. It feels extraordinarily peaceful; and restful. Taking subways, that arterial experience that binds all New Yorkers, is fine once again. No one is listening to a phone aloud, and if they do, other passengers gently shush them with a look.

RFK Jr Wants to Ban Cell Phones in School
Niamh Harris
Director of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr says that children should not be using cellphones in schools.
He claims they affect children’s health and their academic performance.
In an interview with Fox and Friends on Thursday Kennedy said: “Cell phone use and social media use on the cell phone has been directly connected with depression, with poor performance in schools, with suicidal ideation, with substance abuse.”
He added that they “produce electric, magnetic radiation, which has been shown to do neurological damage to kids when it’s around them all day, and to cause cellular damage and even cancer”
“And you know, other countries that have done this (banned cellphones in schools). The states that are doing this have found that it is a much healthier environment when kids are not using cell phones in schools. And the teachers loved it” he continued.
While he believes that cellphones should be kept out of schools, he also thinks that parents should be making the decision themselves.

After 3 Children Die Within 24 Hours of Routine Vaccines, Japanese Researchers Sound Alarm

Citing the deaths of three Japanese children within 24 hours of receiving routine childhood immunizations, the authors of a peer-reviewed study called for a reevaluation of the “risks and benefits of currently approved vaccines” and a review of the childhood vaccination schedule.
The study, published March 14 in Discover Medicine by Dr. Kenji Yamamoto, a cardiothoracic surgeon at Okamura Memorial Hospital in Japan, also addressed the increase in post-vaccination adverse events following the introduction of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in Japan.
The study noted that Japan also has recorded an abnormal increase in excess deaths — or deaths above the amount expected under normal conditions — in the years since the COVID-19 vaccines were introduced.
The authors wrote:
“Globally, questioning vaccination has long been considered taboo, with strong social pressures to conform and be vaccinated. The aggressive promotion of the coronavirus vaccine through biased messaging remains vividly remembered. This atmosphere of conformity may partially explain the lack of significant progress in critically reviewing vaccination practices.
“Furthermore, consideration should be given to temporarily suspending the current vaccination program to determine the full extent of potential harm.”
According to TrialSite News, “These bold assertions — supported by troubling real-world data — pose a challenge to public health authorities, vaccine manufacturers, and media narratives that continue to frame questioning vaccination as ‘anti-science.’”
TrialSite News noted that the study received no external funding and was published in a prominent journal. Springer Nature, the publisher of Discovery Medicine, is the world’s largest academic publisher.
Daniel O’Connor, founder and publisher of TrialSite News, said the study’s publication in a prominent journal indicates “increasing concern post-COVID-19 about the need for validation of certain vaccines.
He said:
“In this case, a mainstream peer-reviewed journal is facilitating a critical examination of recent events, including the tragic deaths of three young children occurring just a day after receiving routine scheduled vaccines. Such incidents should not be happening, and a thorough investigation is necessary.”
Study raises questions about the safety of the childhood vaccination schedule
The study presented data from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on three post-vaccination child deaths that occurred within 24 hours of the administration of routine childhood vaccines. The deaths included:
A healthy 2-month-old boy who experienced sudden illness 30 minutes after receiving the Hib, rotavirus and pneumococcal vaccines. The boy died 59 minutes after vaccination.A 6-month-old girl with “cold symptoms” who was found dead in her bedroom one day after receiving the hepatitis B, Hib, pneumococcal and four-in-one (pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, polio) vaccines.A 3-year-old boy with asthmatic bronchitis, allergic rhinitis and febrile convulsions who “appeared lethargic” and had a fever 8 hours after receiving the Japanese encephalitis vaccine and experienced cardiopulmonary arrest 10 hours after vaccination.Detailed investigations, including autopsies, followed the children’s deaths, according to the study. However, “experts were unable to evaluate a causal link to vaccination.” Instead, the deaths were classified as “evaluation not possible.”
According to the study, such conclusions are “similar to assessments of deaths following coronavirus vaccinations” and raise concerns about “possible external pressures or vested interests influencing such determinations.”
Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D., senior research scientist for Children’s Health Defense, said that the time following vaccination “is one of the foundations” for determining causation when adverse events occur.
The study questioned the safety of the childhood vaccination schedule:
“In Japan, vaccines are administered starting at 2 months of age. By adulthood in 2024, a child will have received vaccines for almost 14 different diseases, with doses delivered either individually or simultaneously. The total number of inoculations increases significantly when booster doses are included.”
The study noted that newly developed vaccines, whose adverse event profiles may not be fully confirmed, are often administered simultaneously with existing vaccines. This raises concerns that promoting simultaneous vaccination could obscure causal links to adverse events from the outset.
A peer-reviewed study published in Cureus in 2023 examined childhood vaccination in highly developed countries, finding a positive correlation between the number of vaccine doses infants receive and infant mortality rates.
The findings of the Cureus study confirmed the outcome of a 2011 study that first identified a positive statistical correlation between infant mortality rates and the number of vaccine doses infants received.
Study links increase in adverse events, excess deaths to COVID vaccines
Yamamoto’s study also raised concerns regarding mRNA COVID-19 vaccines — and their connection to an increased prevalence of post-vaccination adverse events.
“There has been a rise in cases of shingles, monkeypox, syphilis, severe streptococcal infections, measles, sepsis, and post-operative infections in countries administering multiple vaccine doses,” the study stated.
According to the study, such adverse events usually occur in the first two weeks after vaccination, “particularly immunosuppression and lymphocyte reduction, which facilitate infections, especially by coronaviruses.”
Yet, patients experiencing such adverse events were often classified as “unvaccinated” by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. After this practice came under scrutiny, subsequent data showed a “low infection rate among unvaccinated individuals” — until the ministry “stopped releasing the statistics.”
The study was broadly critical of Japanese public health authorities, who have continued to promote widespread mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.
“The risk of immunodeficiency associated with frequent messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccinations has become increasingly evident, leading to the widespread discontinuation of additional doses, except in Japan,” the study stated, noting that Japan regularly administers mRNA COVID-19 boosters to the elderly.
Japanese authorities have continued such practices despite an abnormally high level of excess deaths — over 600,000 — since the beginning of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, the study stated.
Noting that the specific factors accounting for this increase remain “contentious,” the study suggested that the high number of excess deaths “cannot be explained solely by corona-related deaths or an aging population.”
Instead, the study suggests that “the increase in vaccine-related deaths may be a significant factor,” noting that “Similar trends are observed in other countries with intensive vaccination programs.”
The study cited the example of a 26-year-old healthcare worker in Japan, who “reportedly died of a brain hemorrhage 4 days after receiving a single dose of the mRNA vaccine early in the vaccination campaign.”
Though the worker’s death was found to be “potentially linked to vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia,” Japan continued its COVID-19 vaccination campaign, which became “nearly mandatory.”
According to the study, over 99% of deaths occurring immediately after COVID-19 vaccination In Japan were classified as cases where “causality is difficult to determine” — even in instances where autopsies were performed.
The study noted that seven members of Japan’s Health Science Council, which investigates vaccine-related adverse events, “have received donations from pharmaceutical companies.”
“Japan is not alone in its struggles and afflictions,” Jablonowski said. “The U.S. legacy media is so entangled with Big Pharma that being critical of vaccines would be self-infliction. We also have a regulatory body with a high degree of conflicts of interest and have rampantly ignored adverse reactions to vaccines.”
Japanese public ‘now being inadvertently involved in clinical trials’
The study was also critical of the rapid timeline under which COVID-19 vaccines were developed and released to the public.
“While vaccine development typically requires 7-10 years, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic accelerated the process, leading to the rapid development, approval, and distribution of vaccines without extensive animal or clinical trials,” the study stated.
However, Japan has gone a step further than other countries by becoming the first — and so far only — country to approve a self-amplifying mRNA vaccine, noting that these vaccines have also not been sufficiently tested for safety.
“Vaccination with this product has already commenced, sparking societal concern. It seems the Japanese public is now being inadvertently involved in clinical trials to gather data on vaccine safety and risks,” the study stated.
Japan is currently administering the self-amplifying vaccines to people 65 and over, and 60- to 64-year-olds with severe underlying conditions.
“A big problem with self-amplifying mRNA vaccines is that there’s no ‘off switch,’” Jablonowski said. “Once it’s injected, no one can control for how long or how much antigen your cells will be tricked into producing” potentially leading to immune dysfunction.
The study called for a review of vaccination campaigns “in order to respond to the current changing circumstances” and proposed pre-vaccination medical checks, including blood tests and a review of a patient’s mRNA vaccination history.
“A vaccine risk-aware pediatrician needs to consider this information to risk-benefit balance immunization,” Jablonowski said.

Tens of Thousands Israelis Protest Against Netanyahu in Israel
by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News
Tens of thousands of Israelis continued to protest against Netanyahu in Israel today, with the country descending into chaos and standing on the brink of civil war.
Netanyahu is trying to dismantle the government and all opposition against him, as he desperately tries to hang on to power over the fallout of “Qatar-Gate”, which revealed that Netanyahu (as well as the U.S.) has been funding Hamas since before Oct. 7, 2023. See: Israeli Media Reveals that Hamas is Actually Funded by Israel – And of Course Israel is Funded by the U.S.
Netanyahu fired the head of Shin Bet, the Israeli agency that parallels the U.S. FBI, as protests and riots broke out across Israel.
The Israeli High Court of Justice has issued a temporary restraining order from carrying out the removal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, as investigations into Netanyahu’s corruption continue.
This story is barely being mentioned in the U.S. Press, but it is headline news in Israel, and has been for several days. Is this because fellow Zionist President Donald Trump is attempting to do something similar in the U.S., by attempting to remove judges from the bench who do not rule in his favor as Trump attempts to hand over the U.S. Government to Elon Musk and Big Tech?

Opposition leaders in Israel are now calling for a general strike, a tax revolt, and the overthrow of Netanyahu’s government.
Yair Golan: Government ‘must be overthrown’ if it refuses to obey the lawYair Golan, the chairman of the opposition The Democrats party, warns of a nationwide general strike if the Israeli government does not obey the High Court of Justice when it rules on the firing of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar.
“The democratic State of Israel will not fall! The Jewish, democratic, Zionist and liberal State of Israel, you will not fall,” Golan tells anti-government protesters at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square.
“We will not let it fall!”
“The government has launched a direct, violent and unrestrained attack: On us. On our democracy. On our values. On our future. And on the lives of our children. And it will not win,”
he continues — arguing that Israel finds itself in “an unprecedented historical moment” when the government is “turning its back on the law, on the High Court of Justice, and on the public.”
“A government in Israel that refuses to obey the High Court of Justice’s ruling — is illegal and dangerous” and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is not above the law. No one is above the law. And a government that refuses to obey the law — is a dangerous government that must be stopped. It must be overthrown!”
“We are stopping the economy, the ports, transportation, the schools, the academy, businesses, the streets. We are stopping the country — to save it,” he says.
“The law comes before everything. Democracy comes before everything. The state comes before the government.”
Those who once supported Netanyahu are now turning against him, and even questioning his sanity.
Liberman says he’s ‘not calm about Netanyahu’s mental state’ following PM’s ‘deep state’ claimsYisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman questions Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s sanity over the premier’s claim that an alleged “deep state” within the Israeli government is working against him.
“I’m not calm about Netanyahu’s mental state,” the former Netanyahu ally tells Channel 13.
“I’ve known him for years. Deep State? We have a deep fake prime minister,” Liberman adds, predicting that the prime minister will “crash” in the next election.
Netanyahu last week tweeted that “in America and in Israel, when a strong right-wing leader wins an election, the leftist Deep State weaponizes the justice system to thwart the people’s will.” (Source.)
Where does the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stand in all of this? One of their leaders has appointed a panel to investigate what happened on Oct. 7, 2023.
IDF chief appoints external panel to evaluate army’s Oct. 7 probes, implement findingsIDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has appointed an external panel of former senior officers to evaluate the military’s October 7 probes and implement its conclusions.
The move is made by Zamir out of “the IDF’s deep commitment to learning, streamlining and improving processes, especially during the war, and for an analysis and examination of the operational, professional and organizational insights,” the military says.
The IDF says the team was chosen based on their “rich experience and in-depth acquaintance with different and varied areas of work in the military, and out of a desire to reach diverse perspectives.”
The team will “formulate the mechanisms and processes required to implement lessons learned from the investigations.” It will also add to or reexamine parts of the investigations “as required” and will recommend re-investigating, if necessary.
The IDF says the team will present its initial conclusions to Zamir in the coming weeks, and subsequently provide a plan to implement its recommendations. (Source.)
In Jerusalem today, the U.S. Embassy issued a security alert due to Houthi missile fire and the ongoing protests.
US Embassy issues security alert for Jerusalem due to Houthi missile fire, anti-government ralliesThe US Embassy in Jerusalem publishes a security alert for Americans in the Israeli capital.
The statement cites “the resumption of red alerts and large-scale demonstrations,” referring respectively to Houthi ballistic missile attacks from Yemen and mass protests against the government’s efforts to fire Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. (Source.)

All the answers to these questions are now unfolding before us in real time, although the U.S. media is largely fixated on domestic political issues right now, like Tesla cars, and I wonder how many Americans are even aware of what is currently happening in Israel?

Perilous Times for Personal Liberty
by Andrew P. Napolitano Posted on March 21, 2025
“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a socialist.|
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me.”
~ Rev. Martin Niemoller (1892-1984)
The history of human freedom is long, tortuous and not gratifying. It consists essentially in governments trampling the laws enacted to restrain them. It is the profound clash of natural personal freedom and the commands of the state backed by force. The constitutions of totalitarian countries are papered over with restraints on the state, but the restraints are toothless. The state does what it wants. It doesn’t take rights seriously.
In liberal democracies – with the separation of powers, and checks and balances – the state is theoretically restrained. Yet often, there, too, the restraints are paper tigers. There, too, HERE, too, the state does not take rights seriously.
Thomas Jefferson argued that in the long march of history, personal liberty shrinks and state power grows. He famously believed that only a revolution can bring about a proper reset.
All of this history and theory came into sharp focus in the past two weeks when the feds arrested a Syrian graduate student in his student housing at Columbia University in New York City and shipped him to an immigration jail in Louisiana. He is married to a native-born American, they are expecting a child in April, and he is a permanent resident alien.
Last week, the federal government arrested a Lebanese physician at Logan Airport in Boston. She is a professor of medicine at Brown University, and she, too, is a permanent resident alien.
The student was charged with immigration violations. The physician was summarily deported to Paris and then to her native Lebanon.
The charging documents filed against the student allege no crime or personal misbehavior, point to no statutory violations, and offer no evidence of the student’s danger to persons or property or the government. The papers claim that Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that this student’s presence on the Columbia campus – given his outspoken support for a Palestinian state, the existence of which has been the public policy of the U.S. for generations – is a material impediment to the execution of American foreign policy.
There are no charging papers filed against the physician, but the government leaked that when federal agents seized her mobile phone, they determined that she had been at the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the recently murdered head of Hezbollah. She was there along with more than one million others. When asked about this, according to the government leakers, she stated that she followed Nasrallah’s religious teachings but not his political ones.
While the physician was confined at Logan, her attorneys obtained an order from a federal judge prohibiting her deportation until a hearing could be held before him. The government ignored the order.
These two arrests implicate numerous constitutionally guaranteed rights, which are generally taken for granted here.
The first is the freedom of speech. We know from the writings of James Madison – who authored the Bill of Rights – that the Founders regarded the freedom of speech as a personal individual natural right. It is also, of course, expressly protected from government interference and reprisal in the First Amendment. The courts have ruled that it protects all persons – no matter their immigration status – who may think as they wish, say what they think, publish what they say, worship or not and associate with whomever they choose.
If the government can punish the speech it or its friends and benefactors hate and fear, then the First Amendment is useless and democracy is a sham.
Also implicated in these arrests is freedom of religion and assembly. Just as the student can make any public political statement he wishes – no matter how offensive or provocative it may be to his immediate or a distant audience – the physician can attend any funeral she wishes, can associate with any mourners of her choosing, can embrace any religion and can follow any preacher.
The whole purpose of the First Amendment is to keep the government out of the business of speech, religion and assembly. Without government fidelity to it, America is no longer a democracy but rather some form of conformist secular theocracy that rejects the basic values protected by the Constitution – and changes with every election.
Also implicated by these arrests is due process, guaranteed to all persons by the Fifth Amendment. At its rudimentary base, due process requires a fair hearing before a neutral arbiter before the government may interfere with life, liberty or property – and at which the government must prove personal fault.
In the case of the physician, the feds shipped her to Paris before the hearing could be held. In the case of the Columbia student, the feds shipped him to Louisiana, in defiance of the constitutional requirement that all persons be tried in the judicial district – in this case, New York City – in which the facts in their case took place.
What’s going on here?
In the government’s zealous enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws, it has become lawless. Every person who works for the government has taken an oath of fidelity to the Constitution. It is obvious that the feds do not take their oaths seriously. It is also obvious that the feds are breaking the laws we have hired them to enforce.
When government becomes the lawbreaker, it becomes a law unto itself – and human freedom is trampled by brute force.
This cannot go on unchecked. For whom will the government come next?
