Former Texas congressman Ron Paul, a longtime hero of the libertarian right, surprised many on Monday when he told MSNBC that he has no plans to back Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson.
Paul, who himself was the Libertarian nominee in 1988 and ran as a Republican primary candidate on several subsequent occasions, said he actually prefers Green Party nominee Jill Stein on important issues like civil liberties and foreign policy.
I am a supporter of a 3rd Party candidate, Jill Stein of the Green Party.
The Libertarian Party candidate, Gary Johnson is polling better than Stein…if true then the US is more center-Right than the media wants to acknowledge…plus I cannot understand the popularity of this candidate.
The Green Party foreign policy is more in line with my thoughts than the Libertarians even though they are all for non-intervention….Johnson is just a moron on foreign policy……I cannot support him.
Looks like I am not alone.

For decades, the former colonial powers have written the history of the night in which the second UN Secretary-General and his companions died in a plane crash in Zambia. But a new history is about to be written if the recent momentum to find the full truth is anything to go by.
Fifty-five years ago, shortly after midnight on 18 September 1961, an aircraft crashed on its approach to Ndola airport in the British colony of Northern Rhodesia, which is now Zambia. On board were 16 people: the UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld, the members of his mission, and the Swedish crew. The sole survivor, who spoke of “sparks in the sky” and said the plane “blew up”, died six days later.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday it found residues of biotechnology giant Monsanto’s weed killer in oat products for babies, according to consumer advocate U.S. Right to Know.
The testing showed residue of glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’ Roundup herbicide, the most widely used weed killer in the world.
Glyphosate was detected in oat cereals with ‘cinnamon spice’ instant oatmeal; ‘maple brown sugar’ instant oatmeal and ‘peach and cream’ as well as plain and flavoured oatmeal.
The sample results ranged from no detection to 1.67 parts per million of the weed killer.
The World Health Organization said in 2015 a team of international cancer experts determined glyphosate is a probable human carcinogen, and many scientists say it impacts human health and the environment.
Monsanto currently operates in 61 countries and has more than 22,000 employees. One third of…

The CIA Operation to Dismiss Dissent as “Conspiracy Theory”

The Conspiracy Theory Conspiracy is about the US government psychological operations strategy of dismissing critics of government crimes as mentally unbalanced “conspiracy theorists.”
The documentary consists mainly of clips of corporate media pundits denouncing journalists, historians and social media activists who question the government’s official version of events. I haven’t watched the major TV networks in years and was shocked at some of the extremely bizarre denunciations – labeling dissident Americans as schizophrenic, mentally ill anarchists who drive people to violence and make life more miserable for everyone else.
Maintaining that the CIA has “weaponized” the term “conspiracy theory,” the film traces the origin of this psychological operation to a 1967 CIA memo to field agents dealing with CIA assets in the mainstream media. Filmmakers quote specific recommendations in the memo for techniques journalists should use to discredit scholars who were questioning the official version of the JFK assassination.
The film goes on to explain Operation Mockingbird, divulged during the Church Committee hearings in the mid-seventies, and Carl Bernstein’s 1977 expose (“The CIA and the Media”) in the Rolling Stone. Both sources thoroughly document the CIA’s history of paying editors, journalists and publishers across the media spectrum to publish government propaganda.
The filmmakers also feature excellent commentary by Abby Martin, Alex Jones, Charlie Sheen, George Carlin, Rosie O’Donnell, Jesse Ventura and Ed Asner challenging the government campaign to shut down all dissent by dismissing it as “conspiracy theory.”
The only weakness of the documentary is its failure to address the government strategy of “false sponsorship.” This is where government trolls invent extremely bizarre and contradictory “conspiracy theories” to compete with more credible critiques based on scientific or journalistic investigation. New World Order* “false sponsor” scenarios that incorporate antisemitic or apocalyptic narratives, talk about Wall Street plans to impose a socialist or communist world government, or accuse wealthy elites of being reptiles, demons and/or space aliens are examples of disinformation deliberately planted by intelligence trolls.
Over the past decade, the 9-11 Truth movement has also been heavily infiltrated by government agents disseminating extremely bizarre false sponsor scenarios.
*The strongest neoliberal “new world order” advocates (Bill Clinton, Bush senior, Bush junior and Henry Kissinger) never define exactly what they mean beyond vague notions of world peace through greater global cooperation. In the film, former congressman Ron Paul gives the clearest explanation of what neoliberals mean by “new world order” by linking it to the loss of national sovereignty through pro-corporate free trade treaties such as NAFTA, the WTO and TPP.

2. Education and medical treatment were all free
Under Gaddafi, Libya had one of the best healthcare and education services, not just in the Middle East and Africa, but most of the world. Higher education was also free. And if a Libyan citizen could not access the educational courses they desired, or find the medical treatment needed in Libya, they were given free grant money to go abroad. . .

Dr Laura Esserman of the University of California startled the medical community with an article questioning screening mammography published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA ). Dr Laura Esserman reviewed 20 years of breast cancer data. Her conclusion is not favorable:
“Mammography screening for breast cancer has significant drawbacks, and expected survival benefits have not materialized. “
“While the incidence of early stage breast cancer has decreased due to mammography, the incidence rates for the killer cancers, (the advanced cancers) have remained stable. While it is true that overall mortality rates have declined slightly, this is attributed to better treatment rather than increased detection.” Dr Laura Esserman.

A chilly welcome for American commandos who have been deployed to Syria to allegedly help Turkish forces operating in the war-torn country. Footage from the border town of Ra’i showed Free Syrian Army militants driving out a group of US troops, calling them crusaders, infidels and dogs. The militants, who have been long sponsored by Washington, gathered at the town’s main square shouting anti-U.S. slogans.

The Syrian army and its allies have reportedly repelled a major counter attack of Jaysh al-Islam militants at the army base in the Eastern Ghouta region near the Syrian capital, Damascus. Holding this strategic area, the pro-government forces are keeping to pose a threat to cut off the Jaish al-Islam militants deployed in Tell Kurdi from the rest of militant-controlled areas in the regions. Local reports indicate, that the Syrian army is planning an operation to encircle Tell Kurdi in the nearest future.
The joint forces of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) have continued attacks on the Syrian government forces in northern Hama. Terrorists seized the village of Junaynah and attacked the nearby village of Qarah. The government’s counter-offensive in Talisiyah and Sha`tha has resulted in no gains.
