Bogota, December 13 2017 (venezuelanalysis.com) – A small bureau at the US State Department donated almost $USD1 million dollars to the Atlantic Council think-tank in September to work with the Venezuelan opposition.

The USD$900,000 in taxpayers’ money was donated to the organisation as part of the US State Department’s “Peace Process Support Network” programme in order to “promote non-violent conflict resolution” in the South American country. Venezuela is currently suffering from an acute economic crisis and political impasse between the national leftist government and the opposition, though a third phase of official dialogue between the two began at the beginning of December.

Holiday Buyers Beware: 9 Retailers Who Got an ‘F’ Rating for Failing to Take Action on Dangerous Chemicals in Consumer Products
This holiday season, the best gift Trader Joe’s, Kohl’s and Sally Beauty can give us is a commitment to a toxic-free future.

Whether we’re shopping for holiday gifts or everyday items, we can all agree that no one should have to wonder whether the products found on store shelves contain chemicals that could one day make us sick. Parents shouldn’t have to worry whether their children’s car seat contains cancer-causing flame retardants. We shouldn’t have to wonder whether the fragrance in our teenage daughter’s shampoo is formulated with hormone-disrupting phthalates, or if our food is packaged with extremely persisten chemicals like poly- and…

Fracking damages babies’ health

*

*

Study reveals babies of moms living within one kilometer of a fracking site have a 25 percent greater chance of being born underweight.

Dear Kitty. Some blog

This video from the USA says about itself:

Fracking Moratorium Now [Scrapple Service Announcement]

5 March 2014

Pennsylvania needs a governor who represents the people and not the gas industry — one that will halt all new drilling permits. Fracking is dangerous — fracking site spills, water contamination, toxic gas flaring, air pollution, well casing failures, low birth weight in babies, earthquakes.

The gas industry is exempt from environmental law. Tom Corbett has sold out Pennsylvania — no regulation, no tax, no water for families in need. Other places have banned fracking: Pittsburgh, PA, New York State, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, Czech Republic. Two-thirds of Pennsylvanians support a statewide moratorium. The PA state Democratic party supports a statewide moratorium. Why don’t any of the Democratic candidates support a statewide moratorium?

Contact all of the candidates to let them know what you expect.

RT Business News 8 December 2017

Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom is ready to take defective fuel from the Fukushima-1 Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), said Rosatom department’s director Andrei Ivanov on Friday.

“Different options of such cooperation were discussed,” he said, adding that no specific decisions have been made so far.

In September, Rosatom offered its services to Japan to assist in cleaning up at the Fukushima NPP and in decommissioning other unsafe nuclear power plants.

That followed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement that Russia and Japan will start joint efforts to clean up after the accident.

The countries’ “cooperation in the sphere of the peaceful atom has been growing, and we expect that by the end of the year we will announce joint projects to eliminate the consequences of the Fukushima meltdown,” Putin said after talks with Japanese Prime Minister…

Oral History: CIA Contractor Reveals Role in JFK Assassination

Inside the JFK Assassination

Secret History Productions (2003)

Film Review

This fascinating documentary is the oral history of Chauncy Holt, one of the infamous three tramps arrested in Dealey Plaza plaza following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Although it was recorded in 1997, it would be six years before Holt’s interview was released. He died eight days after its filming. Assassination researcher Jim Fetzer has uncovered evidence that Holt, while hospitalized, was deliberately overdosed on Coumadin by someone posing as a doctor.

The first hour of the video focuses on Holt’s early life as a bootlegger and petty criminal in Kentucky. He was a mathematical genius and firearms expert, with a pilot’s license and expertise in oil painting and forgery. It was his math skills that brought him to the attention of Florida mobster Meyer Lansky. After a brief spell as Lansky’s accountant, the latter referred him to the CIA’s Clandestine Operations Division. Holt’s primary function was to oversee the Los Angeles  Stamp and Stationary Company, a CIA front that produced fake IDs and reconditioned firearms for Operation Mongoose, the CIA/mob operation formed to invade Cuba and overthrow Castro. His immediate CIA supervisor was William King Harvey.

In April 1963, he was ordered to produce fake IDs for Lee Harvey Oswald under various aliases and deliver them to Guy Bannister, who Holt identifies as Oswald’s New Orleans control.

On November 22, 1963, Holt was ordered to deliver forged Secret Service IDs and lapel pins and refurbished rifles and ammunition to Dealey Plaza. He was also ordered to deliver fake Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco (ATF) IDs and handguns to CIA operatives Charles Harrelson (father of actor Willy Harrelson) and Richard Montoya.

Holt identifies Harrelson and Rogers as the two other tramps. The FBI ordered them released as they were carrying forged ATF IDs.

Holt claims he had no foreknowledge of the assassination prior to arriving in Dealey Plaza. His CIA handlers told him that Operation Mongoose had organized a violent pro-Castro protest to drum up popular support for a US invasion of Cuba.

Scour the aisles of the grocery store, and you may be astonished to find just how many types of Pringles there are out there. But while there seems to be no end to the diversity of junk food, a comprehensive infographic has been put together to show you just how few corporations provide us with the hundreds of products available at our fingertips.

Oxfam International created the infographic that exposes an inconceivable reality: Just 10 main corporations manufacture the majority of what we purchase at the market.

“What we did is we took certain issues … [and] we saw the kind of impacts they had on the ground,” Chris Jochnick of Oxfam told NPR. “We released reports about those issues and those impacts and how they’re tied to the 10 largest food and beverage companies. And then we pushed the companies to begin to address them.”

Monsanto Bribing US Farmers to Use Controversial Weedkiller

Monsanto mon will give cash back to U.S. farmers who buy a weedkiller that has been linked to widespread crop damage, offering an incentive to use its product even as regulators in several U.S. states weigh restrictions on its use.

The incentive to use XtendiMax with VaporGrip, a herbicide based on a chemical known as dicamba, could refund farmers over half the sticker price of the product in 2018 if they spray it on soybeans that Monsanto engineered to resist it, according to company data.

The United States faced an agricultural crisis this year caused by new formulations of dicamba-based herbicides, which farmers and weed experts say harmed crops because they evaporated and drifted away from where they were sprayed.

Monsanto says XtendiMax is safe when properly applied. The company is banking on the chemical and soybean seeds engineered to resist it, called Xtend, to dominate soybean production in the U.S., the world’s second-largest exporter.

Germany’s BASF and DowDuPont also sell versions of dicamba-based herbicides.

Monsanto’s cash-back offer comes as federal and state regulators are requiring training for farmers who plan to spray dicamba in 2018 and limiting when it can be used. Weed specialists say the restrictions make the chemical more costly and inconvenient to apply, but Monsanto’s incentive could help convince farmers to use it anyway. . .

Which Will Happen First, World War III or Civil War?

*

Will America start World War III first to save the Petrodollar from extinction, or, will America go to civil war with itself to resolve its massive income inequality?

Maine Republic Email Report

America is in a race that we don’t want to be in. America is heading headlong towards civil war. The elite 1% controls 40% of the country’s wealth. This wealth bifurcation inevitably leads to civil war, with the right trigger event.

America is also in a race towards World War III. The central banks of the West are in for the fight of their lives.

The primary question left to be answered is: Will America start World War III first to save the Petrodollar from extinction, or, will America go to civil war with itself in a desperate attempt to reallocate the nation’s resources in a Marxian revolution?

The Failing American Economy Will Result in Civil War

I have chosen four stories which are typical of the economic fate that most Americans find themselves in as America is still waging war on the middle class.

World Bank to Cut Off Oil and Gas Funding

By Tsvetana Paraskova – Dec 12, 2017, 12:00 PM CST World Bank group

As part of its support to countries to meet their Paris Climate Agreement targets, the World Bank said on Tuesday that it would stop financing upstream oil and gas projects after 2019.

The World Bank will only make exceptions to consider possible support for financing upstream gas “in the poorest countries where there is a clear benefit in terms of energy access for the poor and the project fits within the countries’ Paris Agreement commitments,” the bank said in a statement at the One Planet Summit in Paris.

The summit, to mark the second anniversary of the Paris Agreement, is convened by France’s President Emmanuel, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, and World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.

Apart from ceasing to finance oil and gas, the World Bank said today that it was on track to meet its target of 28 percent of its lending going to climate action by 2020 and to meeting the goals of its Climate Change Action Plan that had been developed following the Paris Agreement.

The bank will also start reporting next year greenhouse gas emissions from the investment projects it finances in key emissions-producing sectors, such as energy. The first results will be published in late 2018, and annually after that. The World Bank will also invest in green bonds and in a green bond fund, and in loans and funding aimed at reducing fossil fuel subsidies. . .
