Come celebrate the release of Portland Review’s 2018 issue! Our new volume features writing by Dani Burlison, Christopher Coake, William Virgil Davis, Susan DeFreitas, Christine Kitano, Sueyeun Juliette Lee, Eugene Lim, Molly Patterson, Anna Joy Springer, Jenny Forrester, Jacob White, an interview with Dani Shapiro, and art by Anni Wilson.
Readers at this year’s launch party include contributors Dani Burlison and Jenny Forrester, as well as Portland Review faculty advisor Janice Lee.
Join us at the launch reading on Thursday, April 12th, 7 – 9pm at Literary Arts in downtown Portland. New issues are available for advance purchase at portlandreview.org/subscribe or pick up your copy at the event. We hope to see you there!

Janice Lee’s books include KEROTAKIS (Dog Horn Press, 2010), Daughter (Jaded Ibis, 2011), Damnation (Penny-Ante Editions, 2013), Reconsolidation (Penny-Ante Editions, 2015), and The Sky Isn’t Blue (Civil Coping Mechanisms, 2016). She writes about the filmic long take, slowness, interspecies communication, the apocalypse, and asks the question, how do we hold space open while maintaining intimacy? She also has several chapbooks and is editor/publisher of the imprint #RECURRENT for Civil Coping Mechanisms, founder & executive editor of Entropy, assistant editor at Fanzine, and recently helped launch (w/Maggie Nelson) SUBLEVEL. She is an Assistant Professor of Fiction at Portland State University.
Jason Snyder is the author of the novel Family Album (Jaded Ibis, 2015) and the founding editor of Sidebrow Books. His fiction has appeared in The Collagist, Sleepingfish, Harp & Altar, American Letters & Commentary, and The New York Tyrant. He works as an editor and lives in Portland with his wife and twins.
