What I've Been Reading ...

I recently read Vicki Tyley's new novel, Sleight Malice.  As was the case when I read her previous novel, Thin Blood, I was kept glued to my Kindle.

Vicki is a master at creating believable, multi-layered characters.  Her heroine, Desley James, wasn't poured into the normal sleuth's mold.  Desley's unique and quirky personality adds a freshness to the novel that's often lacking in today's bestsellers.

A True Inspiration

I'm talking about Australian author Vicki Tyley.  Vicki's thriller, Thin Blood, has been on the Amazon top 100 list for the last 19 days.  It's ranked #1 in the Kindle Mystery category.  Not too shabby for an indie novel.


But Vicki is not new to writing.  She's spent years learning the craft and it shows in her work.  Thin Blood has received glowing reviews from fans across the globe.
I predict Vicki will enjoy a very long and successful career.  And it couldn't happen to a nicer person.

Another Wonderful Day!

I'm amazed by the willingness of Kindle readers to purchase books by a new author.  I don't know if it's due to the ability to sample a novel before buying, or if it's the low cost of e-books.  Whatever the reason, the sales for Deed To Death have surpassed my expectations once again.  Here's how I just ended my day:




I just realized I'm next to Blockade Billy by Stephen King.  I'm # 36 and he's # 37.  Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that!
