The Next Big Thing....
Okay everyone... I've been tagged by MaryBeth Mullhall to post on The Next Big Thing! ack!!! The way it works, authors get to talk about their work in progress. I have to answer ten questions and then tag another five authors (but I could only find four SORRY!). So, everybody ready? Here we go!What is the working title of your book? Deadly Descent
Due to be released late Oct 2012
Where did the idea come from for the book?I loved the last horror novel I wrote but wanted to do something a bit different. I know zombies are huge right now and since I am fascinated by stuff like Resident Evil and 28 Weeks Later, I wanted to do something in that realm. It is working out great.
What genre does your book fall under?Supernatural horror for the most part. I guess it could be looked at as thriller as well.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? That's tough. For Victoria I would put Sophia Myles. She did a fantastic job in Outlander. For John maybe Karl Urban. He always does a great job as a military man. :) The rest could be interchanged between many people. Perhaps the funder of the project could be done by Daniel Craig. Cocky and rich. LOL
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?Good lord, one sentence?? Geez. I'm a writer, we are long winded. :) Okay, let's see. When the discovery of a lifetime starts to kill people, and bring them back to life, Dr. Tori Cutter has little time to find a cure before the rest of the world falls victim to a new plague. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? So far I've been enjoying the self-publishing route. The freedom and control of every aspect has been quite an eye opener.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? It ran me about two months. Finding time between the day job, kids and family, only allows for so much time. But it was well worth the trip.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?Wow, um, most of my stuff can be related to movies :) But let's see. The Zombie Guide, World War Z, I Am Legend to name a few. Movie wise, definitely 28 Weeks Later, Resident Evil, Land of the Dead.
Who or What inspired you to write this book?I've always wanted to write something that contained a virus. I'm a total fan of the RE series. I've also really liked the movie Land of the Dead where you don't find stupid mindless zombies. That the creatures have actually evolved to retain/regain some of their intelligence.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? There is a good chance that this book is just the beginning. This isn't just zombies nor crazed people, but a combo of both. Plus, it takes place at the deepest part of the ocean, so there isn't the ability to just run outside. :) I like the fact that the characters are limited in what they can do and must find creative ways to both defend themselves and get free of the creatures out to get them. Tag, you’re it!:

Action, adventure, what? Review of HAYWIRE
Okay, so, hubby and I have been planning on watching HAYWIRE for at least the last few months. When we first saw the preview we were taken away. It looked fantastic. Reading more into the it, the plotline, characters and actors involved were quite impressive. Antonio Banderas, Tatum Channing and Ewan McGregor to name a few. I'd seen some questionable reviews on it, but like most movies I choose to watch, I don't put too much credit in both good and bad reviews. I mean seriously, what's not to be interested in?
www.FreeDigitalPhotos.net HAYWIRE Synopsis: A black ops super soldier seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission.
That simple sentence drew my attention immediately. I love the idea of action packed espinoge and betrayal. Knowing this centered around a strong female character? Even better. I was even curious to see how this new female actress (Gina Carano) did.
I've never heard of her before, but her scenes in the trailer were quite good. I think she has a lot of potential and her acting wasn't too bad. So, hubby and I sat down Friday night and began to watch it. Now, most movies I can sit through and not feel the need to want to turn them off. Sadly, this was not one of them. I can honestly say, there has been maybe one other movie in the last ten years where that feeling has gotten very strong. Unfortunately, I was at a movie theatre so the cost of just getting up and leaving and what we paid for the tickets, we stayed. :) My biggest issues with the movie were the pace. It jumped back and forth between present and past, and it was done in a way that reminded me of a person running around with a video camera. Gina's acting was fine and I can say she looked like she could kick butt, unfortunately, they let her down big time in this movie. It had action, but the flow of the story felt very rough. It reminded me of someone trying too hard to get a story idea across and giving no care to making it flow seamlessly. There were times when a scene was going on and on and I just wanted to tell them "Hey! You could cut about 5 mins out and make it so much better." No one seemed to want to tighten the movie. It just dragged. I also think they didn't do any favors on part of the storyline. Yes, she was betrayed, yes she wants revenge, but it felt flimsy in how it came across the screen. I wanted to cheer for her, and did in some regards, but they gave no real depth to her, her father or anyone else really. Again, with all the flashbacks here and there I'm not totally surprised.
www.FreeDigitalPhotos.net So, in essence, I would sadly not recommend this to anyone. It was painful to watch and even harder to remain awake through. I do hope that Gina Carano gets more parts, as I think she has the potential to be a good actress, if given the right role etc. But aside from that, it is one that I regret spending the money to rent, but at least it isn't one I own. If I had to give a score, I would have to say this one rated a 2 out of 5. Incidentally, if anyone is wondering what other movie I wanted to walk out of? It was The Happening. GREAT premise, poorly executed. And I adore Marc Wahlberg too :( Okay, enough on my ramblings. Happy reading and writing everyone!! RG Porter

Interview with Steven Montano: Vamps, military and so much more
Happy Saturday everyone! Now I'm sure many people are enjoying the Olympics, I wanted to bring to you a fantastic author of Dystopian Military Dark Fantasy writings. So without further delay, I'd love for everyone to say hello to Steven Montano!
Author Bio:Steven Montano spent years as an accountant who dreamed of being a writer before he realized, at long last, that the two weren’t mutually exclusive. Maintaining both jobs while raising a family, however, has driven him mostly insane.
Steven is the author of the popular Blood Skies series. He lives in Washington State with the coolest family in the universe.
Hi Steven, pull up a chair, grab yourself something to drink and let's get started. :) Now on to the questions. <clears throat>
RG: If writing is not your full time job, what do you do for a living?
S: I’m an accountant for Wizards of the Coast, the gaming company that makes Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. =D
OH I am SOOO jealous! That would be a fantastic place to work.
RG: If it was declared illegal for you to write, what career would you love as much?
S: Vampire hunter.
RG: Do you feel that a person has to have a passion for words/books to become a good writer?
S: At the very least, they have to have a passion for stories. I think a passion for words or books certainly helps.
RG: Analyzing the books you've written, what do you think they say about you?
S: That I have really freaky nightmares, that I hate my characters, and that I’m probably not right in the head.
RG: How many books have you written and self-published?
S: As of July 2012, I’ve written and self-published 3 novels (the Blood Skies series, Blood Skies, Black Scars and Soulrazor), one horror novella (something black…), and two short stories (Tales of a Blood Earth and Tales of a Blood Earth 2). Book in the Blood Skies series, Crown of Ash, comes out in late August.
Blurb:
In the time after The Black, human survivors of the Southern Claw Alliance clash with vampire legions of the Ebon Cities in a constant war for survival. Earth as we know it has been forever damaged by an arcane storm that fused our world with distant realms of madness and terror. Things that once existed only in our nightmares stalk the earth.
Now, humanity is threatened by one of its own.
Eric Cross, an enlisted warlock in the Southern Claw military, is part of an elite team of soldiers and mages in pursuit of a woman known as Red -- a witch whose stolen knowledge threatens the future of the human race. The members of Viper Squad will traverse haunted forests and blighted tundra in their search for the traitor, a journey that ultimately leads them to the necropolis of Koth.
There, in that haven of renegade undead, Cross will discover the dark origins of magic, and the true meaning of sacrifice...
RG: Of the books you've written so far, which is your favorite and why? Least favorite and why?
S: That’s tough, because I actually like every novel of the series very much. I’ll go with Crown of Ash as being my favorite, because right now it’s freshest in my mind, and I really like the way I split the story out. Naturally, the one I’m writing at the moment (The Witch’s Eye, Book 5 in the series) is my true favorite, but since it isn’t finished yet I don’t think it counts. ;D
RG: Who do you use as a sounding board for your books?
S: My wife Liberty and my writing homie Jen Kirchner give me tons of feedback during the writing/planning/editing process.
I can so relate to that. I bounce things off of hubby all the time. I think he wants to throttle me once in awhile, but he keeps me grounded as well. :)
RG: What single word, in your opinion, describes you the writer?
S: Dark.
RG: If you could live inside one of your books for a year which would you pick and why?
S: I don’t think I’d want to live in any of my books for even five minutes.
RG: I have an enemy, which one of your books would you put him/her in and why?
S: I’d put them in either Black Scars or Crown of Ash. We could pick whether to stick them in the vampire gladiatorial games or into the subterranean prison’s death race.

RG: Okay, time for some dirt on yourself:
RG: Are you a social butterfly or a fly on the wall?
S: I’m social online. In person, I do an okay job, but I tend to keep to be shy at meeting people.
RG: You have 4 hours of down time. Would you hang out with friends and/or family, beam yourself to a deserted island or go to a party where the music is loud and everyone wants to dance with you?
S: Friends and family. I only barely get to squeeze that in between the day job, commuting and writing.
RG: I invite you to a costume party, what would you dress up like and why?
S: A writer. Because I don’t do dress up stuff. Maybe a well-dressed writer?
RG: You’re invited to a dinner party, where extremely intelligent people will discuss the future of humanity. You can’t bring your spouse or significant other, who would you bring?
S: My Mother-In-Law. She’s a social butterfly, highly intelligent, and she’d be so fashionably dressed I’d be able to hide in her shadow. ;D
RG:What single word, in your opinion, describes you the person, not the writer?
S: High-strung.
RG: If you could have any superpowers what would they be and why?
S: Telekinesis. I just think it’s cool.
Love the answers! Okay, onto some other good tidbits. Reading:
RG: What genre do you like to read?
S: Epic fantasy, dark fantasy, dystopian, some horror, some sci-fi. Ahh same here!!! :)
RG: What genre do you read only if someone is twisting your arm?
S: I tend to ignore arm twisting. I’ve read some paranormal romance, and could read more if I had to. (Grumble, grumble…)
RG: What single word, in your opinion, describes you the reader?
S: Picky.

Love it. Okay, now onto just some random insights I think.
RG: Where were you born?
S: Denver, Colorado.
LOVE Colorado! Visited it twice and even considered moving there. Much cooler (most times) than TX.
RG: What's your favorite color?
S: It used to be black, but anymore I’m not sure. I like earth tones. Let’s go with slate grey.
RG:What's your zodiac sign?
S: Aquarius.
RG: If you could play a part in any movie, what movie would it be and who would you play?
S: Hicks, in Aliens.
RG: What's your favorite season and why?
S: I love the Fall. The colors are beautiful, and the temperature is perfect.
RG: What's your favorite holiday and why?
S: I still get excited over Christmas, largely because I have kids. (I’m also horrified by Christmas for the same reason…)
RG: What is your favorite type of music?
S: Gothic/Industrial and dark Alternative.
RG: What do you do to totally relax, other than writing?
S: What is this “relax”? ;D No, I love to go hiking, get outdoors, watch movies, read and occasionally play video games.
RG: Are you scared of anything (phobias)?
S: Being alone.
RG: If you could own any animal as a pet which would it be and why?
S: A dragon. I’d ride that sucker everywhere.
RG: If there was a movie made about your life. Who would play you? And what genre would the movie be? Horror, Action, Comedy, etc…?
S: I think I’ve determined that my celebrity twin is Stephen Dorff (not really, but I can pick whoever I want, so…) I’d make it an Action-Horror film. (Why, you ask? Seriously, have you met my kids? ;D)
RG: Fantastic. Okay, and lastly. If you had to recommend a book for me to read (not your own) but by an Indie, which one would you pick?
S: That’s a tough one. I’m going to go with Xenoform, by Mike Berry. A brilliant sci-fi. (But, honestly, that’s an unfair question, because there are SO many good Indie authors out there…)

There will be tons of prizes, events and fun stuff to do. So many different genres, authors and items to enjoy.

I will be doing a few contests as well once the event goes live with a few give aways of ebooks and one grand prize where a lucky winner can name a character in one of my upcoming novels! More details once the event goes live.
Hope to see you all there!!
Warm regards,

Deadly 777 - Deadly Descent

I can’t believe I’m doing this (Thanks so much PJ!). Normally, I don't do the whole tagging, posting, etc type things, BUT, I adore PJ and since I'm out of ideas for my blog at the moment, this works out well. So, I’m supposed to post seven lines from my current WIP’s page seven and then tag seven other authors to do the same. I may have included a few more lines, but it would have ended in an awkward spot otherwise. This is for my newest supernatural horror, DEADLY DESCENT.

"That's weird." John murmured.
She moved closer. "What is?" She asked.
"Some of the lights on the lower deck look to be out. I've never seen that happen before." He began.
"Maybe they are done for the night?"
John shifted in his seat. "No, those lights are always on. The scientists work in shifts, from what I've been told." He answered. "The only level where lights can be off is the sleeping quarters."He lifted the com mic and flipped a few buttons. "Titan this is Orphus, do you read me?" John leaned closer to the control panel. "Titan this is Orphus, are you there?"
Silence.
Tori watched as he flicked a few more switches, changing channels from what she could tell. He was nervous. It was impossible to miss. Unfortunately, his nervousness was rubbing off on her and she began to wonder what they were entering into. Should they wait? It was an option, but going back up would take time. If something had happened in the lab, they needed to see if they could help.
There you go. This will hopefully be releasing by Sept/Oct of 2012. Think of Doom meets 28 Weeks Later with a bit of Resident Evil tossed into the mix. :)
Now it's my turn to tag some buddies. Here you go guys. Janus Gangi, Nancy Lee Parish, Skhye Moncrief, Kristina Jackson, Nickie Storey, Penelope Crowe and Donna Dillon. Sorry guys!!

#samplesunday Kiss of the Wolf
Morning everyone!
It's that time again. This time, I wanted to bring everyone back to the 2nd installment of my Darkness Unleashed series, KISS OF THE WOLF. Currently I have 3 novels out for this series and I'm hoping to release the final installment sometime next month.
Blurb:
A promise made is more than he’d bargained for…
Fiery and strong, Kara has always walked alone. Though she retains the same gifts as her sister, she is sent on a journey of her own. One that takes her out across the Baylo Sea and into a dark world of demons.Had she known the danger that followed her, or the man who’d save her life, she might have reconsidered.
Sent to find Saleene’s sister, Zachius is plagued with the vision of the woman who haunts his dreams. Though he swore an oath to his friend to save Kara, he never imagines the woman he would find would be the same as from his dreams. Torn between his duty to protect Kara and keep her safe, he finds that there is more at stake than just their lives.
Can he save her from the evil before it’s too late….
or will he be the one needing to be rescued.
EXCERPT:
Zachius reached behind his head, soreness from weeks of travel crept across his body. He swore he would find a better way to get back home, the knot in his neck a constant reminder of the lack of comfort he’d found on the ship. He had been cramped in the small boat, one he swore was older than the gods themselves, traveling across the Baylo Sea for longer than he could recall. Looking up to the sun, he prayed he could fulfill his promise to Dartian and Saleene. He had vowed to find Saleene’s sister Kara, to warn her, and if needed, keep her safe from harm. Short glimpses of his dreams still haunted him though. Visions of a red haired beauty with eyes the color of the deep emerald visited him every night. Could it be possible the two were one and the same? He shook his head as he pushed the idea aside; sure it was just a coincidence.
“How much farther until we reach land?” He asked the captain. Fatigue and annoyance laced his words, even though he tried to keep them neutral. The man who ran the small vessel rarely spoke to anyone other than his crew. He’d done what he could to help on the boat, but his thoughts continued to drift to his quest. Though the crew was engaging enough, he found his mind continued to drift toward his first meeting with Kara and what he would say. Part of him hoped she was not the woman from his dreams, that she would be something completely different, yet somewhere inside he knew she would be.
“We are very close to the island you seek, sir.” The captain’s rough voice broke through his thoughts. “See...there in the distance...those are the peaks of Ahska.” Zachius’ gaze followed the direction the old man motioned toward, his eyes taking in the snowcapped mountains. A shudder moved through his body. Something evil had already made its way to this small island and if Kara was anything like her older sister, she was already knee deep in the middle of it.
“How close can we get to the island?” His gaze drifted to the rough waves that crashed against the side of the boat. He knew that even though he could see the bottom, it was likely that it was much farther than he would like.
“I’m afraid, maybe another few feet, is as close as we dare to go.” The man’s voice held a hint of apprehension. He had listened to the tales the men told over the previous nights. They believed the island was cursed. For once, he would have to agree. If the evil he had already met had engulfed the island, it would not be safe for any of them.
“I understand, captain, just get as close as you can. I’ll make my way from there.”
As the boat neared the outer banks, Zachius grabbed his pack, swinging it over his shoulder as he vaulted from the deck and into the shallow water, his feet thudding lightly as he landed. Without a glance back, he took off into the forest, his mind focused on finding the woman he had vowed to protect. Whether she’d accept his protection or not was yet to be determined. Behind him, he could hear the boat back out of the shallow waters and head back to sea. Each of the men had asked him if he was sure he wanted to go. Their intentions were understandable, but he had told them he had to. Each one had nodded their understanding.
The moment he stepped into the forest, a thick cocoon of cold enveloped him, sending shivers across his skin. The impact was so strong it stopped him in his tracks; his first instinct was to turn around and leave. Shaking his head, he cleared his mind. It was a trap meant to turn strangers away. He wasn’t about to fall for it, not if she was nearby.
“I don’t think so.” He refused to let anything stop him. He had come too far and his every instinct told him she was close. He needed to be here. He was firm in his resolve to locate her. How to find her was more of the problem. His contacts had advised him that a woman who fit her description had come to the island, but where she had gone they could not say. Unsure of which direction to take, a sound on the wind alerted him to a disturbance in the area. The moment he closed his eyes he picked up the howl of a male wolf, a warning to other animals of something wrong in the area. Something about the sound caught his attention, as if she was also calling for help for more than just herself. Then he heard it, the one thing he could not mistake for anything other than a woman’s voice softly floating on the breeze.
“Kara.” He whispered.
Turning toward the sound of her voice, Zachius vaulted through the deep lush foliage, his energy renewed. He needed to find her. If the voice of the wolf held true, danger was close. Old weathered tree branches blocked his advances, roots reached up to keep him from moving forward. It was more than a coincidence, he thought, and pushed even harder past the barriers that continued to be put in his way. He was not about to fail after getting so close, not when he still had the energy to fight. Pulling his sword out, he slashed at the obstacles, refusing to stop.
As he entered a clearing, he found a rundown cabin, its door, and windows gone for what appeared to be many years. Looking inside he could tell someone had used it recently. Smoke still drifted up from the used fireplace. Moving his gaze around the interior of the cabin, he found a small piece of cloth. Picking up the fabric, he knew it was from a blouse made of soft cotton, its forest green color faded from continual use. Bringing the fabric to his face, he breathed in, the scent of jasmine filling his nostrils.
Kara.... It had to be her, he was sure of it. It could be no other. Her scent filled his mind and soul until he knew he could find her anywhere, no matter what she looked like or where she hid. He placed the piece of fabric in his pack and moved out of the cabin and back into the woods, his stance solid as he made his way toward the east and the coming battle.
Okay everyone, that is the snippit for this week. Hope you enjoyed the read. You can find this novel at Amazon US Amazon UK Barnes and Noble Smashwords and if you want a print copy you can get it here

New release alert! Scottish Whispers
Happy Friday everyone! Yes, I have a new book out. Well technically, it was released on Monday, but this week has been chaotic at best for me. So, without further delay, let me introduce you to my newest adventure, SCOTTISH WHISPERS.
First off, isn't he hot? That is Jimmy Thomas who is taking on the role of Erick in this novel. Can't help but adore a man in a kilt. Now for a bit about the book.
Blurb:
A man who protects the balance between worlds.
A woman who is haunted by her past.
A group of demons wanting both their souls.
A twist of fate that binds them both together.
Jena wanted nothing more than a nice quiet vacation in the highlands of Scotland, what she got was much more than her travel brochure ever described. Toss in a man who is more arrogant than any she's met in the past, and demons hell bent on driving her insane, and her vacation is about to turn extremely chaotic.
Finding Erick half dead from a gunshot wound, Jena learns there is more at stake than just her fear of falling in love. If she doesn't hurry Erick might die and the demons of her nightmares will finally win what they've been after.
Their souls.
<waves self> Yes, we have demons in this novel as well. And yes, it is a re-occurring theme for me. Can't help it. :)
Now for a bit of a snippit of this new release. Hope you enjoy.
EXCERPT:
Black, grey, and crimson filled her mind. Screams and cries for help echoed in her ears, their voices held more agony than she could stand. Heat moved across her body. Jena’s eyelids fluttered open. Shadows danced across the area just out of reach. Where was she?
“Come to us Jena. You still belong to us.” The monsters from her past crept back to her present. They reached out to her, begged her to go with them. Her body ached as she tried to move, her mind hurting with the onslaught of the cries of pain.
She shook her head in denial. “Go away. I won’t follow you.” Defiance laced her words.
“You cannot avoid us. We will always be here. You are coming to us. It will just take time.” Their coupled voices rang through her body in a shudder of chills. "You can't escape us.”
“Never. I’ll never belong to you. Leave me be.” Jena tried to move but found she couldn’t. Her mind shouted out that this couldn't be real, that it was just a nightmare due to her fatigue. She closed her eyes as her heart began to beat out an erratic palpitation. If she didn't know better she swore it might burst.
Their voices grew in magnitude, the hiss of their anger stronger with each passing moment. “Just wait, we are patient. Soon you will have no choice, we will get you.” Jena could feel their hands reach for her, their long tendril fingers grasping her nightgown. She thrashed at their advances, her fingers hurting from the effort. "Nothing can stop the inevitable Jena, you will come to live in the darkness and pain. You will suffer much at our hands."
She braced herself against their advances. Her mind was tired from fighting. All she wanted to do was just fade into the darkness. To let it all just go as it was destined to. Still, her stubbornness took over her need for peace. “Go away.” She screamed. Her voice cracked in the dryness of the abyss she was locked in. Just when she swore she would drown in the thick evil of the beings that hunted her; warmth spread across her skin.
“Jena…” His deep baritone voice penetrated her web of fatigue and terror. Her eyelids drifted back open, a haze of reds and blues filling her vision. Soft water dripped in the distance, the calm of the wind moving across her body.
“Where am I? Who’s out there?” She called out. No matter how hard she tried she couldn’t move her body. Whatever was at work was stronger than she was. The warmth of a hand caressed her cheek, sending shockwaves through her body. A blanket of calm covered the area.
“I’m waiting for you my love.” Her gaze moved from the large hand up the arm to land on his shadowed face she still could not see. Once more, she could only make out the steel blue eyes staring back. So full of pain and sorrow she wanted to nothing more than to take it away. He'd saved her sanity more times than she could say, yet she still couldn't help him.
“Who are you?” She asked. His accent was not American and the sound sent her whole body into an uproar of feelings. She felt she knew him, somehow, on some distant level.
His eyes filled with warmth. “I’m your destiny. Save me.” Again sadness filled his voice. What could hurt such a powerful looking man? Jena found her arms reaching out for him. She wanted, no needed, to hold him close. She needed to chase the sadness from his eyes. Still, his words made her heart ache.

Inspiration...
So, I've been MIA for a few bits. So much has been going on in the last few weeks that I'm still playing catchup. One thing that I had someone ask me recently, is where do I find inspiration when I write. This is such a tough question, not because it is limited, but because it is endless. One thing I did recently, was take a trip over to the UK to visit family. I always enjoy going back to visit because the country is beautiful. It's also amazing to see so much history that emits from every pore of the country. One of the places we went to visit was this fantastic place.
This is from Lincoln Catherdral. I'd wanted to visit this place for a very long time. One reason, is because (after doing ancestory research) I found that I had ties to this fantastic building. But I degress. The structure is huge and to see how long it has been in existance gives my mind over to thoughts, images and stories. I mean, how can one not let their mind wander when you wander among these walls.
It's still hard to believe how tall this structure is. Then to get close to the building, to feel the stone underneath your fingers, the history that flows through each wall is just overwhelming. I would have loved to spend more time there, but the weather was a bit colder than I'm used to. :)
But what I would love to do one day, if given the chance, is spend time in the Wren Library. It was why I went. I could just imagine flipping through the knowledge and old books that remain within its walls. The inspiration, for me, would be beyond words. We were able to see part of the outside, and though it is much less impressive, it holds a dear place for me.
What's interesting about this, is the three slates of stone on the grass are actually grave markers. Too see their dates, it just amazes me every time. We talk of old buildings and history here in the States, but we have nothing on Europe. The buildings, structures, and history there is huge. That alone, allows for ones mind to wander. For me, I can find so much to write about with the atmosphere out there that the storylines would be endless.
So that's my bit of input. So tell me, those who visit this blog, what inspires you?
As always, happy reading and writing everyone.
Warm regards,
R.G. Porter
