CANADIAN Spring ... and the Sun

CANADIAN Spring ... Time to plant flowers. Then, all those walks in the neighbouring parks, taking pictures of exotic birds, freshly back from countries far away in the South. Time to enjoy having the morning coffee outside, surrounded by trees. Time to smile at the departing winter.

It's Spring in our minds, and the seeds of hope appear to materialize. We are more productive, happier, healthier ...

It is the Sun!

The Sun provokes us to expand our dreams. We are the flowers in its garden of love where we can bloom again for yet another year. Like a good parent, the Sun is giving us another gentle push towards a smarter future.

I love good NEWS! ... and The ART of Baking

A planet or more being discovered .... Children being born ... People traveling the world ... Loving entertainment ... These are the subjects that make me happy when I read the news.

Food also makes me happy. Good, healthy food. Here in Canada I see incredible changes in how people shop for food and how they eat. Many plant their own herbs and cook most of their meals. Again, it is a choice, a form of exercise and overall good art.

Baking is something so popular here that even young people started to practice. Recently, a young couple (owners of a restaurant) supplied us with some great ideas. Just experiencing, and it's fun - Not to mention the pleasure. Imagine opening the oven and see the bread better looking than the ones at the market.

Next time, try it! ... and suggest "the ART of baking" to your friends.

Ice-Storm over - The Spring is here

Damage to the infrastructure, to people's properties ... and a dent in our Social Media activity - that's what the Ice-Storm did to us now in mid April here in The Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Yet, we love it here! This part of Ontario is incredibly beautiful, and the weather is balanced most of the time. This Ice-Storm must have been an exception to the rule of balance.

Looking at the sunny day this afternoon I cannot imagine doing anything else more important than take a trip in the fields and photograph the nature. The small planes that fly over the cities of Kitchener-Waterloo between the cotton like little clouds, with their sound create a sense of romanticism. After all, the Spring is here. The blue sky is our great witness.

I love TWITTER!

Twitter is simple and efficient. Most curious people, like me, love sharing what they believe to be important and/or entertaining. Two years ago I started on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ElyssePoetis and ... in the beginning I needed a bit of time to explore my options. Today, I am happy to admit that Twitter is absolutely fun. You can visit the site and view the few photos and videos I posted in the last few days.

Since I believe in a brilliant future, scientist Neil Turok become one of my favourites. I started listening to his lectures on TVO. Then I moved to YouTube for more. Mr. Turok has the ability to simplify the complexity attached to the overall mountain of discovery. With a permanent smile on his face, he makes it entertaining.

Speaking of the future - I am convinced that if we move so fast towards a quantum environment, as an author/poet/photographer I should be prepared for the transition. Who knows how these art-forms would/should manifest in a quantum world.

Regardless of tomorrow, today Twitter is my friend. It permits me to share my discoveries and my enthusiasm with the entire world. In the process, I continuously promote scientific and technological news. That's why, I love TWITTER!

Finally ... Spring in Canada

Winters are long here in Canada. During the months of March and April we can only wait and pray that the cold will go away. Since yesterday, March 24, 2013, my husband and I are having our coffee and cake outside.

Oh ... What a pleasure! The birds are singing, more small planes are flying, young mothers take walks with their new-born babies ... Not to mention everyone else running for health - from humans to dogs, all happy.

In the small wild life world it is courting time. Soon tiny babies will appear in trees all around. The one thing we do not wait to hear is the crying when predators attack.

We all ask often, "Why isn't there just love and peace?" Personally, I do not think that we need so much drama in order to love better or more. Yet ...

Authors need protection

Not once I realized how vulnerable creative minds can be. At night, when the majority of people are sleeping, authors are writing in the dark. If no one offers them a glass of water, they never ask. The same with food. In a short period of time they can become accustomed to such "food free nights."

Some authors prepare in advance. They are surrounded by tiny dishes filled with candy, peanuts, honey, water ...

Often, in middle of the night, they need to take a walk. That's when protection becomes important, everywhere. Authors are continuing with the stories in their minds and they do not see the surroundings or where they walk. They become like robots.

It takes a special person, someone who loves them, who is able to put them in place and help them focus on reality when away from the writer's chair.

Celebrate VALENTINE with Canadian Poetry "I Love You" by Elysse Poetis - AMAZON

VALENTINE ... Read for FREE here - POETRY by Elysse: http://www.amazon.com/I-Love-You-eboo... Have fun and remember that true love does exist. Elysse, CANADA.

Considering that English is my second language, the fact that I wrote hundreds of poems in English, it is a miracle to me.

I have experienced out of these world energies that took over my mind, and when they were finished with me, I could not believe what was in front of my eyes.

Apart from so many intriguing moments in my life, true love was presented to me as I was turning fifty. It's been nine years of pure love, tranquility, creativity, security and fun - Something I never knew existed.

My husband Klaus is my angel, and I wish everyone else in the world similar out of this world luck.

Elysse's POST

Tonight I created a new FACEBOOK Page named simply, Elysse Poetis: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Elysse... - Tomorrow I will continue decorating it until looks good.

Persistence is my friend these days. I work extra hours until late at night, and I enjoy it. It reminds me of 2001 when I started writing The Mind of a Poetess. It seams like yesterday, yet it was twelve years ago. The difference between then and now is huge! Then, I was engulfed in fear and tears. Now, I have peace and love, not to mention the trust and the fun.

How lucky I am!
