If you like hard science fiction and it's impact on the world then check out my novels. I have been a Data analyst / scientist for a number of years and constantly think of creative ways fraudsters and companies might go about subtracting your money. The home for the hardest indie sci-fi!

Novella: Space Ants: Never Say Die. Classic SF about survival and exolife. Nonhuman and no AI.
3rd Novel: Near-future Cyberpunk. AI Therapy in the age of dystopian surveillance Capitalism,
Above Dark Waters Your personal EEG data is going to feed the machines your nightmares.
2nd Novel: First Contact under Europa. A Hardness of Minds More off-beat, but describes the hard problems of communicating with Europa's seafloor.

List of Genetic Engineering

Space Ants: Never Say Die got mentioned in a list of sci-fi books about genetic engineering. Although not quite 'engineered', Space Ants does go into great detail about how the ants adapted to life in space, and these details are a significant to the source of the individual stories. In the Queen and Colony story, there is deliberate and non-random genetic selection by the ants. Which brings me to Read more of this blog post »

“Decadence is a moral and spiritual disease, resulting from too long a period of wealth and power, producing cynicism, decline of religion, pessimism and frivolity. The citizens of such a nation will no longer make an effort to save themselves, because they are not convinced that anything in life is worth saving.”
John Bagot Glubb, The Fate of Empires and Search for Survival

“If something can cross over from conceptual space into reality, taking physical form, then something can cross in the opposite direction. It must be possible to take a physical entity, mechanically extract the idea which it embodies, amplify that idea and broadcast it up into conceptual space. A bigger idea. A better idea, one designed specifically to fight SCP-3125. An ideal. A movement. A hero.”
